A long way from the start - how far away from your birth town do you live ?

I was reading on Facebook that approximately 70% of people live within 30 miles of where they were born when they become adults. I am not sure about this. I worked out that I live approximately 10,525 miles away. I don’t know that many here who stayed near their original hometowns.
What about you ?

I'm 240 miles away from where I was born and if I moved any further south I'd be in the sea! smile

I moved to the Caribbean after I married, then to the USA, back to Scotland then New Zealand then back to Scotland.

I now live one mile from where I was brought up and having taken up genealogy over lockdown I found that my great, great grandparents lived half a mile from where I live now.

I reckon we must be homers, like pigeons. ?

15 miles from where I was born in Hitchin. Various homes in between from Hong Kong to Cornwall.
Much too expensive to move back to, although I miss my home town.
