Blue sky appearing...
Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest Lancashire coast. Nice trip into north Wales yesterday although I had to put a support on my knee and use a stick after spraining it. I’m sure the walking about wasn’t good for it, but hey ho, had booked it and sat down whenever I could. Lovely sunshine.
Staying in quietly today, a friend is coming to stay on Saturday and there is a birthday party not far away, Frankly it all feels too much, but I hate cancelling things, so will explain and take it as easy as I can.
Thoughts to harrigran during this difficult time, Marydoll, Cherry, Auntieflo and anyone with a shadow across their heart.
Good Morning Mick and all
My usual late arising. Getting some good night's zzzz at the moment. Do hope it lasts.
Thank you for reminding me Grammaretto. I must get 3 growbags today too. The search will be on for peat free.
Hope all goes well with the hospital appointment Gwenisgreat1
Dogsmakemesmile I get goldfinches down (as a couple) feeding on the niger seeds. Such beautiful birds. Heard a woodpecker on the peanuts this morning whilst making a cuppa. Door was wide open. He sounded very angry then I spotted Mya lying on the grass about 1m from him. Enjoy your magazine.
Thank you for the sunshine Grandmafrench. I'm sat outside now just having finished breakfast, which was outside too
.
My pot of strawberries is getting bigger every day. Having them for breakfast every day now and MrM had lots with his brownie last night. Jam making is around the corner.
I do miss the regulars when they don't post. So I hope Marydoll is back soon having well rested.
After my afternoon search for build help, we have the first coming this afternoon to chat to MrM about the work. Another is coming on Monday. I keep my fingers firmly crossed. That will another worry sorted.
Doctors and Holland & Barrett today to get tablet supplies for MrM. Grow bags on the way home. Ordered Mya's flea/tick tablets and worming ones from the vet. She had a tick on her yesterday
. First of many. Better start checking myself too. I've got to know over the years what it feels like when one attaches itself.
. Doesn't matter how much clothing I wear, they manage to get under it.
. Such is the pleasure of walking through our wood. Mya likes to roll in the meadow and I'm sure that's where she picks up the most. Treatment is good though.
Hope BladeAnnie has blue skies.
Take care and enjoy visiting friends and family if you have any arranged today. ?? ?
Good morning GraMingos from Sefton. Meeting friends this afternoon in the sunshine.
Excellent news Grandmabatty and BladeAnnie.
Sending bear hugs to many, especially Marydoll, Cherry, Auntieflo, grandmajet.
May a big pink bird come your way today.
Good Afternoon All x.
Beautiful day, an early start for me this morning as I had to have my INR at the surgery so that called for a shower beforehand and a general spruce-up to match the weather.
It was a good result today ( inr) at 2.6, so that'll do me.
Jumped on the bus from the surgery and went to the bank to draw my breath
then had a look around the near deserted village. I bought a couple of nice big geranium plants to replace the ones which were dashed during the winter so at least I'll have some colour. It's a start, with some begonias next.
Washing on when I got back and it's now out, drying nicely.
This is the morning gone !
Prawn salad later---no cooking today. Afternoon chat with neighbours.
Lovely day for a wedding if it's nice there BladeAnnie, best wishes .
Can't keep up with all these babies lately but hope all is well for the mums and expectant ones too. Busy times ahead
Hoping things are better for Marydoll and others who've had recent procedures etc
x.
Good job there's plenty of room in my shoes for the swollen feet, oh dear, the right foot especially. I could do with some water pills. I think I have to ring a GP after 2.30, it's so long I've forgotten. I'll give it a go.
Enjoy your weekend Dragonfly, what a lovely treat for you.
Those of you who are going out and about enjoy this lovely weather and make the most of it.
Take care and remain safe.xx
Hope you are feeling a bit better Marydoll
Good afternoon from lovely sunny West Sussex.
I struggled to Pilates this morning as my lower back is very stiff from moving bags of compost and manure at the allotment a couple of days ago. I struggled at Pilates as well but that’s nothing unusual! I have bagged up some stable manure to take to DD1 for her garden veg beds (will probably add to her compost to help with rotting down before spreading on the garden).
I have several boxes of books to take to Oxfam but can’t do that until I have cleared the bags of manure from the car and that involves an hours drive each way to my daughter’s. I wish I could magic them there.
DD3 and DGDs, aged six and two, are coming on Saturday to stay over the bank holiday. I realised yesterday that our house is far from toddler-proof. She is not a quiet little thing like her sister was at two, happy to draw and look at her books - oh no, this one is the classic ‘into everything’ two year old ?.
How lovely to have goldfinches visiting Dogs and muse.
Thoughts with all suffering/struggling ??????
