I found the key that soop left.
I must complain that getting down to retrieve keys then getting up again is very tricky! Please leave them in a more accessible place in future.
Anyway here’s a bottle of Dom Perignon and a large iced bowl of caviar to open the kitchen!
( we’re going posh this time!

Third time….

Jaxjacky Tue 15-Jun-21 19:17:54

Pictures didn’t post, try again ! ?

soop Tue 15-Jun-21 19:05:49

Well done, Andy Murray. So good to have him back in action.

Yia Long ago, I lived in Dartmouth. I do however, prefer living here in our wee village on the west coast of bonnie Scotland.

Lovely flowers, Puzzler

jax us lot know how to form a disorderly queue. We can do most things with style (when there is bubbly to be slurped sipped. wink. Cheers/Slainte!

Grannyfrench Life can certainly test us all. We have to pull our shoulders back, think positive thoughts and hope for a good outcome.
Talking of which, the first attempt at the dog portrait was rubbish from the start. I have since sketched a replacement. Tomorrow I shall do very much better. That's a promise.

Good night dear peeps. I am already looking forward to being with you tomorrow. smile moon

Grandmafrench Tue 15-Jun-21 18:17:00

Ah bless, GrandmaB you must know about The Toddler Code. Hope you will recover in the blink of an eye (or two firmly closed for an hour or so).
I know how you feel, Jax. Our Dentist trip which I was dreading also turned out so well. She was pleased with my teeth. She scaled and polished really well and I was very impressed. She also repaired a tooth for my DH which meant he can avoid a crown for a good while longer. So, had it not been for the ridiculous temperature en route to the car park, we would have been skipping too. So pleased you're o.k., especially since your Health Anxiety chum, Urms, is missing - so there's no one to properly hold your hand in a crisis.

Fabulous flowers, Puzzler, Fabulous views, Yiayia - keep enjoying your road trip, Blossoming step away from the Eton Mess!

Misunderstandings are part of life's rich wotsit! Where did you hear that, soop? From those wonderful BT Engineers, I'll bet. ! You are funny. Not long until Friday when hopefully life will swing into action.

Have a lovely evening, ladies of the cuisine.....see, you've just been upgraded. x ?

Shrewsbury is not that far from us Lins.We lived there when the girls were very young but they went to school in Shrewsbury even after we moved.

My DH is a bit of a train buff and loves the Heart of Wales line.He would often go down to visit his parents by train and years ago the train would stop at Llandrindod and wait while any passengers who wanted could get fish and chips!

We will be down in your area hopefully later in the week.As you say the area is stunning. We always used to stop to climb the Sugar Loaf but the spirit is willing but the knees are weak these days!

Lins1066 Tue 15-Jun-21 18:07:24

I wish I was in Dartmouth, we had many happy holidays in the area when our two were small. Thank you for the photos and the memories Yiayia4.
Lovely flowers Puzzler, I have pink gypsophelia in the garden, my mother loved it.
Eton Mess is just the thing for a hot afternoon.
I cleaned the old fridge we keep in the garage earlier and put the shelves etc outside to dry. I dropped one of the glass shelves, £27 for a replacement ?
Mr Lins has just returned from a trip on the Heart of Wales Line to Shrewsbury, is that in your neck of the woods Susan? It was one of his birthday presents and he thoroughly enjoyed it and was blessed with beautiful weather, mid Wales is stunning.
Happy birthday dragonfly ??
I am in the orderly queue Jax ?

Grandmabatty Tue 15-Jun-21 17:45:49

A weak wave into the kitchen. The boy wonder has tested my energy level and patience today. He's been a holy terror! Nothing horrible, just being a toddler.

Susan56 Tue 15-Jun-21 17:35:56

Definitely puzzler??(thanks Jax)

Puzzler61 Tue 15-Jun-21 17:34:41

We can send them all our best and wish them good cheer Susan with Jax ‘s champagne cocktail. (Thank you Jaxj )
Many of us have a few blessings to count ?

Susan56 Tue 15-Jun-21 16:55:47

Beautiful flowers puzzler and gorgeous views Yiayia.

We have been into town and went for lunch at our favourite vegan eaterie. We are vegetarian not vegan but the food they serve is amazing. We sat in the Secret garden at the back which is so pretty and peaceful.

When we got home I promptly fell asleep?

Thinking of all our missing posters and all with worries, illness and anxieties? My thoughts are especially with panache and her dear husband?

Jaxjacky Tue 15-Jun-21 16:54:53

Hi all, a cooler, just, cloudier day here. I’m very happy, went to see my GP earlier as my sodium levels are low, again, so I’ve had a full blood screen and urine analysis, conclusion is I’m just one of the small % who are like that. It’s been relatively low for 6/7 years off and on and will be checked at my annual mot. As someone with health anxiety I went with trepidation, now positively skipping!
Lovely spot again Yia and a pretty bouquet * puzzler*, thank you both. My newly planted garden is ‘settling’ pictures added, that makes me happy too, so champagne cocktails are on me, orderly queue at the bar please x

Puzzler61 Tue 15-Jun-21 16:25:59

Absolutely Blossoming. What flavour do you fancy?
Yiayia you are in a stunning place at Dartmouth. Wonderful photo’s.

Blossoming Tue 15-Jun-21 16:20:44

Is it OK to put a scoop of ice cream on the Eaton Mess?

Yiayia4 Tue 15-Jun-21 16:20:21

Hello Kitcheners. So good to have you back Soop I do hope you get some help with the consultant on Friday and they can make you comfortable.
Happy Birthday Dragonfly hope your having a lovely day.I am so sad to read of unpleasantness on this gentle thread and hope it can be resolved and you can both move on.
We are now in Devon on our road trip and I leave you with pics of the beautiful Dartmouth harbour.

Puzzler61 Tue 15-Jun-21 16:07:40

Hi kitchen peeps. It has turned into another sweltering afternoon. The German language has a wonderfully descriptive word for humid - it is “schwuhl”.
A perfect excuse for me to sit indoor and watch Queen’s tennis.
Are you watching soop? Andy Murray is just warming up for a match.
Leaving roses for us all to enjoy in the kitchen.
Also a big bowl of Eaton Mess with juicy sweet strawberries. ? Jugs of a Pimms too. ?
Please help yourselves - calorie free ?
Take care of yourselves ?

Blossoming Tue 15-Jun-21 15:52:51

Good afternoon kitcheners. It’s been hot here today but there has been a lovely cooling breeze. Unfortunately that’s now dropped and it’s so hot in the garden, time to relax with an ice cream courtesy of Mr. B who has been shopping.

The laundry baskets are once again empty and the laundry is drying in the sun. Tuna and salad for dinner later, too hot for cooking.

soop Tue 15-Jun-21 15:35:55

Should we lose muse and Mary I shall be truly sad. However, I must respect their personal decision to take whatever path they choose. To both of you, I have always enjoyed your company here in the kitchen. The door will remain open to welcome you and your chairs will remain in situ. flowers smile for you both.

soop Tue 15-Jun-21 13:22:50

Pittcity Big (((hugs)))

soop Tue 15-Jun-21 13:21:37

Lots of fun and smiles are prescribed for your birthday, dear Dragon. Have yourself a swellegant day. flowers sunshine

soop Tue 15-Jun-21 13:19:33

Dear Mary and dear Muse, misunderstandings are part of life's rich wotsit. Neither of you are capable of being intentionally disrespectful to the other. Time to hug and let things be. We all want you with us in our kitchen. No hard feelings. Soonest mended is the key. Love to you both.

Lins1066 Tue 15-Jun-21 12:28:18

Only now catching up with the recent posts. I can only echo Maw's words.

Lins1066 Tue 15-Jun-21 12:24:45

Lovely to see you back soop, Mr Lins and I wish you all the best for your Friday appointment, Sam is sending you a very waggy tail.
I will miss you Urm, have a lovely time with your step father.
I'm sorry you've been upset muse, as the others have said please report them.
Best wishes to the Panaches they are indeed special people ?
Lovely photos Maw Rosie is blooming too ?

brook2704 Tue 15-Jun-21 12:13:28

Oh my goodness I’m so sorry to hear of the upset between two lovely posters and really hoping it can be resolved ❤️

Doodle Tue 15-Jun-21 11:59:08

Like others have said Mary and Muse I can’t believe either of you would intentionally hurt anyone.
Misunderstandings are so easy and can often escalate. Is it possible to forgive and make up?

Grandmafrench Tue 15-Jun-21 08:58:16

Posters in the Kitchen don’t “jump in looking for a head on a plate”, Mary. And there’s never unpleasantness on this thread. You will see from the responses that no one had a clue as to details. Maw and Puzzler sum it up.

You’re clearly upset and angry, and that’s a shame. Muse was very upset and then she responded. You’ll know that there are some very unpleasant people who appear from time to time on Gransnet! So, we all said report - and then you announce you’re the other party??!! Think we’ve all been knocked down with feathers! Since you’re both lovely people, surely you will be able to sort out what was/is so obviously a complete misunderstanding? Please please do, because you both need to feel better and soon.

Have yourself a wonderful birthday dear dragon with too much cake and lots of laughter ??

Strength and hugs and love coming your way, Panache. Sounds like a nice, fairly easy day for yourselves, susan. Enjoy the peace??

Coffee calls and then early lunch before our eagerly anticipated appointment with Dr ? Teeth! ?

Stay safe, lovely Grans. Enjoy the day. ?‍♀️??
