I found the key that soop left.
I must complain that getting down to retrieve keys then getting up again is very tricky! Please leave them in a more accessible place in future.
Anyway here’s a bottle of Dom Perignon and a large iced bowl of caviar to open the kitchen!
( we’re going posh this time!

A very quiet kitchen, crumbs it’s hot outside, is it me, or is heat in England more intense than heat abroad? Anyway, allotment watered, garden to do in a minute when it’s in shade, washing needs to come in first so I don’t drench it.
Very scary in the Euros earlier when Christian Eriksen just dropped on the pitch, now being tested in hospital, ?. I’ve checked the plants that went in a few weeks ago and I’m so happy some are in bud, some coming in to flower. Never grown flowers before, always vegetables, I’ll post pictures in a few days. P Hope you’re all having a lovely Saturday, family events, pets all well, indulging with books, films and ice creams, those poorly or carers having the best day they can.

Aww those baby donkeys are so cute blossoming thank you for the picture
And that wisteria is so beautiful Puzzler and the colours against the deep blue sky, just stunning!
I’ve just come inside from the garden to make some lunch but first things first, I’m checking in here first ?
We’ll done Urms with the French braids, I always found them difficult to do and they often ended up quite skewed..
Hoping you’re having a good family day cornergran and your DS isn’t as tense as yesterday. Hopefully the worries will ease a bit too
Lovely to see you posting Annsixty and here’s hoping soop gets back online soon
Now off to get lunch!

Blossoming

Just a quick visit, Mr. B is cooking rice to go with a slow cooker curry I prepared earlier. A friend sent me this baby donkey photo, it’s so cute I just wanted to share it ?

Oh my goodness Blossoming major cuteness alert! I want one too!

Puzzler61 Sat 12-Jun-21 10:43:28

A photo of glorious Wisteria for kitchen peeps to enjoy.

Puzzler61 Sat 12-Jun-21 10:42:12

Wishing each and everyone of the kitchen pals the best weekend you can have.
I hope those with struggles of any kind find them more bearable. ?
I hop soop is returned to us soon. She will be a little disappointed that Rafa could not match Djokovic yesterday and he was defeated. What a match! One of the greats.

I’m looking forward to a day with DD1 at my house, just the 2 of us. We’ll chat together, cook and eat together and there is Pimms made! She loves it in the summer just as I do.

TOYA ?

Good to hear from you ann, you’re missed around here.

A gizmo for soop sounds a good title for a book, television series even. I hope it, or a cure from BT, materialises very soon and some stress is reduced.

We loved out van yiayia, that’s a glorious spot you have. Sometimes I mourn the loss of the escape it gave us and then recall how I hated towing the wretched thing and equanimity is restored.

Been trying to arrange a get together with two lots of friends, I’m sure arranging the G7 summit was easier. There may have been success, or perhaps not. Time will tell.

Off to help one of ours tame his garden tomorrow. The spirit is willing but the time has been scarce for the garden owner . Our reward will be a BBQ in the freshly tamed garden. Hopefully he will be a lot less stressed than he was this evening, in very tense family and work situations a final straw arrived today. It would be good not to have a constant worry in the back of my head.

Off to sleep now. Early start in the morning. Sleep well everyone.

Lovely to hear from you Ann - I was thinking about you today and wondering how you were.

Urmstongran Fri 11-Jun-21 22:17:15

Too cute Nannytopsy! ?

Nannytopsy Fri 11-Jun-21 22:08:57

Just put our little man to sleep. He sneaks down once his sister has gone to sleep! They play tennis so tonight it was a set from Djokovic v Nadal - May as well learn from the masters!
Please let them sleep in tomorrow!
Hi Annsixty - lovely to see you.
Have a good weekend everyone. TOYA.

‘Evening All’.

Just back from babysitting. Am eating a bowl of M&S strawberry crunch as I type! I’m hungry as we at our main meal at 3pm today as we were ‘on duty’ from 5pm. Goodness knows when we’d get to eat otherwise! Himself took the boy wonder to cricket practice and I played ‘play doh’ with l’il miss - she was the lady ‘doing the nails’ so I had different coloured blobs (rainbow nails, grandma) covering my lovely manicure polish of yesterday. After her bath & hair wash I did a French braid and took a photo. When she went to bed she wanted it out as it was too bumpy on her pillow. The princess & the pea came to mind.

I have my fingers crossed Baggs for a gizmo for soop tomorrow! brook that 3-parter with Sean Bean was excellent. I think I had something in my eye during that last episode ...

muse so pleased to hear your son has got his first week in his new job under his belt! I hope your granddaughter is okay, I recall you were concerned about her recently.

Lovely to hear from you annsixty up the road from me in Stockport. I’m glad you’re not in pain these days but as they say, old age ain’t for cissies. Keep on keeping on, just mind out for those pesky eggshells.

Right, time to make a Horlicks I think. Tonight might as well be an alcohol free one as I’ve come this far.

kittylester Fri 11-Jun-21 20:51:46

Hello ann, lovely to see you.

The house next door to us was sold a while ago so I spent a lot of time sitting on the stairs looking at all the people viewing. The thing is, if you don't like the look of them, it's a big worry. We thought our new neighbour looked ok but I am reserving judgement now!

Jaxjacky Fri 11-Jun-21 20:13:52

Hi all, a cloudy day with the sun peeking through for my lunch with a friend, a tad disappointing as I asked for sea bass, which was ‘off’, I hope they meant they’d run out of it. Then off to have my nose cauterised, which has caused a slight toothache, I think it’s all connected. Asda food delivery was very late, an email will be sent, so I was late on parade at the local. MrJ will follow on, with chicken tikka for me and a kebab for himself, the kebab is Indian meats in a naan bread, £5 bargain, next door to the pub. We’ve done a sweepstake for the Euros in the pub.
Good to see you Annesixty and Yia enjoy your holiday next door to Golden Cap.
I hope the VIP is suitably embarrassed muse can’t be doing with people up their own btm.
Thoughts with the panaches.
Everyone one, have a pleasant Friday evening the weekend is upon us!

Grandmabatty Fri 11-Jun-21 20:01:41

Ooh, he did something unusual with tantric sex, I believe, Brooke. Whipping right over ...

brook2704 Fri 11-Jun-21 19:36:12

We’ve got Sting performing in the Argy tonight if anyone fancies popping over - all are very welcome and we’ll be having a singalong for grandmajet too
Delish cocktails freshly shaken by Colin our resident bartender and Salad and Chilli on the bar ..

I used to love our camping holidays when the children were little. What a wonderful view yiayia.

Yiayia4 Fri 11-Jun-21 18:13:54

Sorry Muse should have been Grandmabatty?

Yiayia4 Fri 11-Jun-21 17:51:16

Muse?.* Hello Annesixty great to hear from you.

annsixty Fri 11-Jun-21 17:45:27

Thank you Granny Somerset
I know just how you are following so closely the path I trod and I sincerely wish you, Panache and anyone else in the situation well.

Grandmabatty Fri 11-Jun-21 17:44:48

I remember that post Muse. She was, indeed the village idiot! I ordered a takeaway curry as I couldn't be bothered cooking. I haven't had one in nearly a year. Nice to see you Annsixty. Yiayia when my mum heard that next door would be sold, she said she would buy it! ???
