I found the key that soop left.
I must complain that getting down to retrieve keys then getting up again is very tricky! Please leave them in a more accessible place in future.
Anyway here’s a bottle of Dom Perignon and a large iced bowl of caviar to open the kitchen!
( we’re going posh this time!

Grandmafrench Hi, your Yowler cat description is spot on and had me laughing.
Ours is exactly like that (age 12).
She also chooses to march up and down on the arm of the chair I sit in to watch TV - therefore obscuring my view of whatever drama is on between 9pm and 10pm - her most active time. Again it’s for attention.
Hellogirl when your Billy finds his voice - and I’m sure he will - you may wish he hadn’t!

Good afternoon lovely kitcheners, a glass of Viognier is much appreciated, thank you so much Blossoming
Your afternoon tea location looks very good hellogirl I hope you’re thoroughly enjoying it!
Good on your DH grandmafrench for his scooter skills- I’m impressed! I bet it’s good riding on the back too ?
Just back from a lovely walk today around Loch an Eileen, which is looking beautiful today in the sunshine. We walked about 8 miles in total though the pine forests overlooking the loch and had our picnic lunch right by the loch side. The weather was a bit cloudy but warm and dry ?
Hoping everyone is having a lovely weekend and take care all when out and about

For a new hip that is

Izabella Sat 05-Jun-21 15:46:31

Good afternoon from a sunny Shire. The end of the road re CHs hip is in sight. We saw the consultant today and he is booked in for August. Hugh sighs of relief

To the lady with the hair picture - lovely. I am also proud to be grey.

Grandmafrench Sat 05-Jun-21 15:18:31

Good Afternoon - 30 degrees here, so lots of gardens and us are thirsty! I've been busy indoors until it cools down a little, although there is a wonderful warm wind blowing and all my laundry has dried in a trice.

DH has gone to the greengrocers on his Scooter - no not the dangerous and illegal ones which are on the increase and pose a threat to almost any of us using pavements these days. He was very surprised that it started first time since he hasn't used it since just after Christmas. He loves the power of being able to park, easily and instantly, especially now the tourist season is opening up. He also gets a tan top-up as he travels along at a gentle speed next to the sea. Sometimes I travel on the back, but am a bit of a wuss if there's traffic, so we tend to go out at odd times if I'm riding shotgun !!

I've been promised prawns and linguine in the garden for supper along with a cold glass of rosé - a very popular drink in Hérault.

Glad you are feeling a bit better, soop, and are drinking lots of fluid and watching tennis lots - that should keep you resting and nicely sedated. Like me you are probably bored with trying to log onto or post messages via Gransnet. It's been quite hard lately. Wonder if they need another couple of shillings in the meter?

I have owned a non-miaowing cat in the past, Hellogirl. We have one now with a tiny little voice and one who has turned (in her old age) into a yowler! She uses that noise for 'where are you?",'where am I?', 'give me some attention', 'I'm starving (again)', 'let me out/in' and 'I'll just sit on your lap and shout in your face, shall I?' So, we'd be very pleased to have a low-key purring one!! ?. Hope your afternoon tea is wonderful, Hellogirl and hope you have a great trip next week, YiaYia.

Wishing you all a happy day today. Keep out of mischief if you can and enjoy whatever you're up to......
?‍♀️ Hugs from French France x

Blossoming, what an excellent hairstyle. You must have a very good hairdresser. I've finally found one that understands my naturally curly/wavy hair and doesn't cut it into unnatural layers.
We're sharing your sunshine *soop. The towels dried on the line in an hour and a half. A second batch has to go out right now. Given that we had a monsoon a couple of weeks ago, it's amazing that so many plants are already looking thirsty again! Me too - it's time for a brew I think!

soop Sat 05-Jun-21 13:52:38

I shall return. I'm sending a slice of sunshine to all those of you who would enjoy some.

soop Sat 05-Jun-21 13:51:46

Gransnet needs to work out what it is that's going wrong with our message sending. It remains very iffy.

soop Sat 05-Jun-21 13:50:10

gillgran After last night's single G&T shock I went to bed with Rebus and a mug of Ovaltine. grin
Rafa will be on court this afternoon. My favourite tennis player by a mile.

Jax I swear that I can smell the perfume of those glorious blossoms. Such a pretty photograph.

Urms Well done. Happy reminiscing. I have written a journal of my formative years. That is up to the age of nineteen. I've printed a copy for the grand children.

soop Sat 05-Jun-21 13:43:35

Blossoming I've already said this once, and the message failed to reach GN but you and your hairstyle are stunningly beautiful. So there!

soop Sat 05-Jun-21 13:41:04

Buggerations galore! This time, I am successful.

Hellogirl1 Snap! We have the same problem.
I did say in the message that wouldn't shift, that Matt is not a huge fan of felines. Although he did own a lovely wee cat called Hamish...long, long ago. Fern didn't visit until after the visitors had departed. hmm

soop Sat 05-Jun-21 13:37:59

I have been trying for at least an hour to respond to your latest messages. Zilch! The system would not oblige. Therefore, I am about to try again.

Yiayia4 Sat 05-Jun-21 12:47:57

Yes please to the Viognier Blossoming.
The foxes must have been training last night! A blue plimsoll was found in the close this morning ?Getting the wobble box ready for our road trip next week. The good thing is no suitcases,
straight in the wardrobe and drawers makes life easy.
Hope your feeling better Soop enjoy your Saturday everyone.

For some reason I missed the last page, I love your hair Blossoming, I`m going/gone grey too, and have stopped colouring, but it doesn`t look beautiful and glamorous like yours!

Puzzler61 Sat 05-Jun-21 07:47:16

Smashing photo of you Blossoming and a flattering hairstyle too. It really suits you.
I love the colour. My friend’s is similar and she is at about the same stage as you of growing out the dye and embracing the grey.

Jaxjacky Sat 05-Jun-21 07:29:19

Hair envy Blossoming my own tousled mop would never attain that beauty, it really is stunning.
