I use the ‘last hour’ one, the active list is a bit of a jumble. I presume it’s looking at number of posts within a time interval.

FannyCornforth Thu 01-Jul-21 14:55:15

Jaxjacky

I suppose if it’s not ‘active’ it just dies, but if interested in a subject you can always search for it, that’s what I do.

What I'm trying to say is that the Active List thing isn't working properly.
There is a problem with it.
Threads that are being posted on are not showing up.
It's not just me!

Jaxjacky Thu 01-Jul-21 14:37:04

Blossoming??‍♂️

I made them disappear. I’m an Internet Witch grin

It's not just me that it 'bothers', btw, Maw and others have started threads in site stuff about other threads going 'missing'

FannyCornforth Thu 01-Jul-21 14:02:44

Thanks Jacky
Only because if it doesn't show up, noone, apart from those 'on' the thread know that the thread exists, and it can go quite a while before anyone comments.

Jaxjacky Thu 01-Jul-21 11:33:21

There will be a live camera feed to the press, so expect pictures before tomorrow AnnieBach
Does it matter if a thread is active Fanny? I don’t really understand.

Anniebach Thu 01-Jul-21 11:23:18

Good morning Fanny

It was said on the news KP will be open to the public tomorrow
as usual so perhaps we will see it tomorrow, without her family
standing near it.

FannyCornforth Thu 01-Jul-21 11:07:07

Annie! You must be magic!
The thread is now in Active!

I wonder when we shall see what it looks like?

Good morning, btw, Ellianne and Annie smile

Anniebach Thu 01-Jul-21 11:03:47

I hope the unveiling today of the statue will be strictly private,
no cameras .

Ellianne Thu 01-Jul-21 10:17:20

Yes, Fanny, some of us prefer children to adults and I think Diana was like that. I'm sure she would have been a wonderful grandma.
I notice Harry made a surprise (not!) visit to a children's event yesterday, so maybe he feels the same about being around youngsters.

FannyCornforth Thu 01-Jul-21 10:10:00

For some stupid reason this thread doesn't pop up in active threads.
It's quite frustrating. Grrr...

FannyCornforth Thu 01-Jul-21 09:51:51

She really adored children, didn't she.
Remember that photo of her holding a child, and her see through skirt?
Happy 60th birthday Lady Di. ?

nadateturbe Thu 01-Jul-21 09:41:06

rhink think

nadateturbe Wed 30-Jun-21 20:48:15

I rhink she would have been a great grandmother.

Beswitched Wed 30-Jun-21 20:23:31

Diana would have been 60 tomorrow. Hard to imagine her as a grandmother and mother in law.

eazybee Tue 29-Jun-21 14:47:56

The Diana debate will never die down because she is an historic personage, and a divisive one, during her lifetime and following her death. Exactly as has happened to Anne Boleyn, Mary, Queen of Scots, Marie Antoinette, Empress Elizabeth of Austria and Tsarina Alexandra, to name but a few.
As time passes more verifiable evidence will become available, from state papers to personal, private recollections and although recollections may vary serious books will be written that attempt to examine all the existing evidence and draw balanced conclusions. But not until after Harry's death, I would think, as he does have an understandably skewed view of his mother, developed after her tragic death and
exploited recently by his wife.

Lucca Tue 29-Jun-21 14:36:30

My point was that I find all this debate about queen consorts, dukes, princes etc a bit weird in 2021. That’s all.

nadateturbe Tue 29-Jun-21 14:24:25

I think Charles and Camilla are well suited. He seems very happy.

FannyCornforth Tue 29-Jun-21 14:03:54

Molly it's actually been around as a hippy dippy thing for decades.
I first heard it referred to in the book 'Simple Abundance' by Sarah Ban Breathnack ,which must have been around for thirty years or so

Mollygo Tue 29-Jun-21 13:59:27

An authentic life could be making the best of what you have, enjoying the things that go well and having a moan when things go wrong, whilst still keeping going.
Is authentic going to be the new buzz word?
Do you authentically think so?

FannyCornforth Tue 29-Jun-21 13:46:24

I totally agree Whatdayisit
I think that being able to 'live your authentic life' is either very, very lucky; or a massive luxury, available only to those blessed with good health and pots of money
