I'm not going to bite. I will remain polite and friendly towards you, as that is how I prefer to be treated.

What shocked me was that Camilla was present at the unveiling of the statue. If is wasn’t for her, I believe Diana wouldn’t have died. Maybe I see it from a different view as I didn’t live in the UK or Europe at that time. Harry blames the press that I understand but the root of it all was his father and her. The press followed the story but there had to be something to begin with.

Compared to many people who are classed as ‘icons’ at the drop of a hat, yes, I would say Diana is/was an icon.

We visited Althorpe House today. It was a good day out and every aspect of the visit was very enjoyable. Thoroughly recommend it.

I still say the john travolta thing was fun stylish elegant and he was thrilled.
Please note this does not mean I am declaring Diana was a sainted individual. She was, as we all are, flawed and a mixture of good and bad qualities.

Thought I’d repeat that following yet another accusation that anyone who sees two sides to this is a Diana worshipper.

I wasn't either but I could admire her in many ways, felt sorry for her and irritated by her probably in equal measures.

I am envious of anyone who can dance, being unco-ordinated and having two left feet. The last time I danced was a few years ago with a charming Scotsman who didn't seem to mind when I trod on his feet.

Anniebach I like your posts I think like you do. Im not going to gush about Diana she was just a person who had faults like everyone else but people always talk about her like she was family and get upset when you dont see her though rose tinted glasses. Has I have said before she has been gone for years but people still get upset if you dont see her as a Goddess.

My (limited) knowledge of Wayne Sleep is he would have done just about anything to be in the public eye. I have done workshops with him and been to masterclasses.
His fawning to royally I have seen with my own eyes - and and his self-agrandizement.

The viewer was supposed to like Tom and Barbara; but it was Gerry and Margot who were the lovely ones.
Tom and Barbara were so smug and annoying.
I love Margot too. Penelope Keith looks like my late mom, so when I see her, it's what my mom would look like now.

I watched The Good Life recently and didnt realise 1st time round how much Margo and Jerry helped Tom and Barbara and how ungrateful T and B were. I really like it still though. Loved Margo.

If Charles was embarrassied by the damce it says more about him than Diana.
The fact that he wasn't proud to have a beautiful, happy, creative wife just shows how ill suited they were.

Wayne Sleep, one of the best dancers of his generation, choreographed it and worked on it with Diana beforehand. I can't imagine him putting his name to anything tacky and substandard.
