Good Morning Everyone,
Its cloudy but dry here in Brackley at the moment.
My plans for today are slightly different , will get the bus to Bicester direct ,and have 2 hours there , as I will be returning to try and watch the Tour De France first stage in full on Eurosport , although on ITV 4 as well , its the commentary team and presentation which differs .
Before that the women's la course over the same route as the men's stage, today only next year there will be a full blown women's race of the Tour De France , last held in the 80`s .
Take Care,
Mick

Morning all. Dry here in Cheshire but not very warm. Doesn't feel like June ! Actually it does - we get these temperatures quite often in June.
Sad outing Dwmxwg but a picnic afterwards sounds a lovely idea.
Not much happening today but a "busy" week next week with afternoon visits ( possibley in garden but only if warm ) from friends on two days.
Have a good day if you can everyone.

Good morning Mick, morning all from cool and cloudy South Lanarkshire.

Enjoy your day watching the cycling Mick.

Such a pretty outfit gM, I’m sure Iris will love it.

Sorry to hear that your brother still isn’t doing very well Kitty.

Maw you’ve reminded me that when my son hiked the Appalachian Trail a few years ago he was nicknamed The Flying Scotsman by others he met along the way.

It was a busy busy day in the charity shop yesterday between cleaning bric a brac to go on the shelves, serving customers and taking in donations. I was glued to the sofa for the evening afterwards.

This morning I’m heading to M&S to pick up a few bits and bobs then I think I’ll bake a couple of tea loaves, they never seem to last long in this house.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day.

Good morning Mick and all.
Warm but middling grey start to the day. DD and DGD arrive late this afternoon. She’d hoped for an early start but very tired from two bad night’s sleep and long work days. I do hope the M6 and M5 are not too jam packed for her.

Mya at the vets having her nails ? done. Then a quick last minute shop.

Wishing they could find the cause of the infection kitty.

Safe journeys and happy doings everyone. Hope any weekend worries will be soon resolved. ??????

Lins1066 Sat 26-Jun-21 08:37:24

Good morning from an overcast S Welsh coast.
Not much planned for the weekend here either, we'll avoid the town as it gets packed on summer weekends.
Hope your brother improves soon kitty and good luck with your present search.
Enjoy your day Mary and everyone else too. Hoping your fil is better too Susan.
Homemade spag bol for supper.

Sar53 Sat 26-Jun-21 08:34:51

Good morning from a sunny Essex by the sea.
We are going to buy some material for me to make curtains for the boat, deep joy !!!!!!
I've recently made curtains for a friend's boat and I said never again but I can't really say no to DH.
Hopefully coffee and cake will be on the menu later.
Have a lovely Saturday and may all your flamingoes come home to roost xx

Susan56 Sat 26-Jun-21 08:34:15

Good morning from Shropshire where the rain has hopefully stopped??

No plans today apart from laundry and lawns.

FIL remains in hospital.

Hope they can find the cause of your brothers infection soon kitty.

Have a good day all??

Pittcity Sat 26-Jun-21 08:27:03

Good morning from sunny Colchester.
I have a pile of laundry but no washing line as the new patio isn't finished. It's great drying weather today....grrr.

We moved in March and are in the town centre next to the park. This is the first weekend when a big festival is being held. Hopefully the only disturbance will be music.
We are going to a nearby vineyard for a barbeque this evening and the forecast looks ideal.

Love to all x

kittylester Sat 26-Jun-21 08:24:28

Thank you for the good wishes.

I suspect dragonfly has our sun now as it looks like rain in my bit of Leicestershire.

Good morning from a fairly bright-skyed Essex. I’ve just been looking at pics of the damage done by a ‘tornado’ which hit in East London last evening. It’s not that far from here. We had a few downpours but no tornado! ?

I had a lovely afternoon with an old pal yesterday. We had lunch in a pub and chatted. Arrived at 12,30 and left at 5.00.
No one rushed us and we caught up with each other’s news. So nice!

Not much on for the weekend. The roads are so busy around here, we tend not to go out at weekends. We would just be sat in a traffic jam. With more and more houses being built it can only get worse. ?. We will walk the dog and probably have a visit from one or other of the family.

On my way back from lunch yesterday, I met my twin gs’s (15) with their friends on the way to the gym. We high-fived and smiled as we passed by. ??. Nannas can be a bit embarrassing when you’re 15 and with friends. ?

Looking forward to hearing about Marydolls exploits, and frustrations with her DH. I always feel better after reading her news, as I too have a very frustrating DH. ?.

Lovely outfit GrandMattie ?
Enjoy your lunch Ash. That restaurant looks the ‘bees knees’. ?.

Kittylester wishing your DB better.

I hope you all have a lovely day, whatever you’re doing. ???‍???‍♀️??‍♀️????‍♀️⛷???

aggie Sat 26-Jun-21 08:15:32

Good Morning , the sun broke the cloud cover for a few minutes , but it’s back to overcast now
Marydoll I hope primary survives your visit ?
It’s 18 months since I was last in Edinburgh, I have 3 chicks spread around there

Jaxjacky Sat 26-Jun-21 08:15:12

Good morning from sun and 12deg S Hants.
What a worry kitty and frustrating, I hope someone finds the cause.
Marydoll I’m reading a Rebus now, so awaiting your novelle eagerly!
harrigran better news with MrH ?
I spent a lot of yesterday with DD who was poorly and didn’t want to be on her own, hard being a single Mum, picked up the GC’s from school and we had ice creams on the way home.
Allotment this early afternoon, then football, good luck Wales ???????.
Enjoy your day all.

cornergran Sat 26-Jun-21 08:13:11

Morning Mick, morning All. Cloud over our corner of Somerset is fairly light. Getting brighter.

Yesterday’s museum visit was both relaxed and enjoyable. Afternoon catchup took far longer than anticipated, tedious stuff. Today we’re off to a garden party to celebrate our Littlest reaching the grand old age of six. The forecast weather looks shall we say variable, keep your fingers crossed for us.

It’s grim just waiting when there is little you can do to help kitty. Hope the birthday gift is found easily. Iris will soon have a full wardrobe grandmattie. And breathe marydoll, looking forward to reading about your adventures.

Hope Saturday is kind to us all, take care everyone.

grandMattie Sat 26-Jun-21 08:12:33

Actually the outfit is a sort of lavender sprinkled with tiny stars… ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good morning everyone from a dull and wet start to the day here on the east coast of Fife. Himself says it’s to brighten up today, the weather that is. Therefore we’re off again to our favourite haunt for mid morning coffee and cake. Or perhaps a sneaky early lunch wink I had a bit of an upset with my carer last night a very difference of opinion angry I thought I was going mad or perhaps confused listening to her view on things and I began to doubt myself confused

I’m so pleased the bin men came this morning seeing as they couldn’t come yesterday upsetting himself, they had good reason though as someone was off sick I suppose that could be the same across the whole of the workforce at the moment sadhave a good day everyone hugs to you all flowers

that’s a lovely wee blue outfit made in the previous photo posted I do like it you could enter the great British sewing bea with your skills sorry I’m unable to remember who posted the photo and I can’t scroll back without losing my post.

ginny Sat 26-Jun-21 08:03:01

Good morning everyone. Not looking too bright outside at the moment so hoping it improves . We are off to the park for a family picnic. DD2 can join us, her sold isolation finished at midnight and all her tests have been negative.
DGS1 (18) rang me yesterday to tell me that he had been to the walk in centre for his first jab. Hoping he has no side effects.
Better get going and pack up some food and must also quickly plant the gift our friends bought the other day.
Hope all find a smile today.

dragonfly46 Sat 26-Jun-21 07:59:33

Good morning, no sun here kitty ☹️.
So sorry to hear your brother is not improving.

Love the outfit Mattie.

Absolutely nothing planned today.
Cornish crab and orzo salad for dinner.

Wishing you all a good day.

Nannagarra Sat 26-Jun-21 07:58:19

Good morning from the Sefton coast where it is overcast.
The gutter is now repaired, the flag has been reset so I’m awaiting the third matter. In the meantime I’ll deliver more baby clothes I’ve made for the SCBU and pick up a few items not available on our online order. My aim is to take out more than I bring in. ?
Your father was very gifted Alizarin; his painting captures everything I love about steam trains. Having to wait so long for an ambulance to go to hospital alone is a disgrace, Susan56. I hope your dear father receives good news today.
Thinking of several missing posters and those who would benefit from some TLC. Have a good day.
?????

Greyduster Sat 26-Jun-21 07:56:27

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. It’s dull and rather cool in South Yorkshire. A night of very muddled dreams involving two old ladies in a delicatessen! Nothing much on the agenda today, so I may do some baking later and try and get on with my knitting. DH is muttering about washing the car, but he may not get further than muttering about it! DS and DiL are coming down to stay next week so I have a room to get ready for them at some stage. Have the best day you can folks.

Nannytopsy Sat 26-Jun-21 07:52:35

PS Enjoy your day Marydoll!

Nannytopsy Sat 26-Jun-21 07:51:10

Good morning Mick and all his followers. Suffolk is cloudy so far and I think rain is forecast.
I have an early start to take the cat to the cattery before DS brings his huge dogs to stay. We only have them for 24 hours but the cattery is closed on Sunday and we were taking him there on Tuesday anyway, so he may as well stay. Poor lad! If there are dogs in the house, he just can’t leave them alone and doesn’t get the idea that dogs bred to hunt will go for a nice furry cat!
Then it’s housework and rugby. Beds to change, dust to move around.
I hope your TdF starts well Mick.
Love the outfit GM!
Kitty I am so sorry that your brother isn’t making better progress. I do hope they can find the seat of the infection soon.
Time to get moving! I hope the day is kind to everyone.

MawBe Sat 26-Jun-21 07:50:57

Good morning all.
Yesterday my friend who moved last year from Bucks to Fife posted a video clip of the Flying Scotsman chugging through Kinghorn where she lives.
I wondered if you were on it Marydoll ?

BlueSapphire Sat 26-Jun-21 07:49:18

Good morning everyone from a grey and overcast Northampton. A shower is forecast, so hope it clears up by lunchtime.

A lazy morning ahead, and then DD is picking me up after lunch so that I can go and watch her riding lesson at a local stables. Not sure whether she will be in the indoor or outdoor school, so I shall need to wrap up warm. They have a nice little cafe, so a coffee will keep me warm I hope. Then we are planning on calling in at the garden centre for more coffee and perhaps cake!

Shall be watching rugby later - England versus Japan, and then the final of the English premiership. Not sure which team to support in that one!

Hope we find a bit of sunshine ? today.
