Good Morning Mick and all morningsters.

Wet Cornwall - so I had to don my raincoat for the slow walk across the garden to the bathroom in our bedroom annex. Mya as usual made her mad dash for her poop and pee than back to the cottage. She will spend the day at the door starring longingly outside for the odd squirrel that dares to wander into view. The other photo is of a massive double geranium, I brought with me to Cornwall from my Derbyshire garden. MrM has just described it as gloriously untidy and took a photo for me. Thank you rain.

I've a tubular bandage on my knee down to my calf Beechnut. It seems to be helping. It will be a day of ice packs and elevation again. I must persevere with it and stop being in such a rush to do things again. Enjoy the lul I tell myself.
Thank goodness for my books. MrM and myself are not football fans but very pleased for the result. My day and night was full of tennis.

Same here B9exchange about GrannyActivist's granddaughter on the other thread. I've left a message there too. It's a worrying time. That little one has gone through a lot, as has Imogen. Hope she enjoys the Bude holiday Jax.

I'm texting that reticent DS of mine today. No news since he rang about the second job offer that will have now been accepted. It means he will spend at least 3/4 of his time out of the country. He has told the company about DGD's heart condition and that he will need to come back to the UK at a moment's notice if needs be.

Good Morning, Mick and Everyone from a bright but greyish and cool Carlisle. It rained all yesterday afternoon, not heavily but enough to stop me mowing the lawn after all. Perhaps today....at least I don't have to go out and water it. I'm planning a little ride out shortly as I need some fruit and veg but am also planning to look out for new cushions in the next door shop. If I'm feeling energetic, I may go out in the back garden and continue removing turf for my planned shrub border. On the other hand I might just read the papers and continue my book.
I ban housework on Sundays but not gardening work, somehow, how ever energetic I am outside, it doesn't seem like work.

Good morning all. Polmont is very warm this morning but there are clouds and blue skies in equal measure so who knows which will win. JaxJacky it's good that your dgd is recovering well. Beechnut I hope your knee settles and Hollysteers take things easy. I cannot paint clouds and get very frustrated.
Yesterday I pottered about, got housework and washings done and rested tendonitis hand as much as possible. It was a quiet day but I like that. Today I have a long chat with a teacher friend to look forward to. We will set the world of Scottish teaching to rights! Then dd and dgs are visiting this afternoon for a couple of hours. I will hear about their trip to the museum of flight at North Berwick yesterday. Dgs loves planes or "irplanes and helipoppers". I will make rhubarb and ginger jam too. Enjoy your Sunday.

Good morning Michael and all GNs. The sun is out in South Yorkshire at the moment. The thunder we were threatened with did not really manifest itself - a couple of growls and a lot of rain. We brought GS back with us from his very wet footie tournament yesterday afternoon and he stayed overnight to watch the England match with grandad. He’s still asleep. Gone are the days he would be jumping on our bed at six o’clock. Just as well; he’s five feet ten! His ma and pa will pick him up and have lunch here later, then it’s back to whatever passes for normal in this house! I daren’t look at my garden this morning - the rain will no doubt have given it a battering.

Good morning Mick (don’t quit!) and all from a cloudy northwest Lancashire coast.
Really enjoyed art group on Friday, painting clouds and a seascape even though I had the beginnings of my old war wound (IBS) starting. Spent yesterday in bed with stomach pain, headache and strangely, shooting pains up and down my legs which may be the statins. So ill. Watched the match in bed.
Slightly better today so will tidy up and gingerly try to have a normal day.
Thoughts to Imogen and all with worries.

I’m so glad to hear that your GDD is feeling ok and recovering well Jaxjacky.

Dawyck gardens is one of our favourite places Stilllearning it’s so beautiful, we have a Dawyck Beech in our own garden.

I spent yesterday morning weeding and tidying the garden and was quite pleased with my efforts. I’d washed the garden furniture cushion covers too so of course the afternoon was showery and I wasn’t able to relax and enjoy the fruits of my labours. Sod’s law in action

DD is on holiday so we will pop over to water their pots which will be dry despite yesterday’s rain.

CBA with cooking today so it’ll be a take away from our excellent Indian restaurant this evening.

Good morning all from a damp S Hants. Imogen had her burn re dressed at hospital and needs a GP/Nurse visit for the same next week. Main problem will be it must be kept out of direct sunlight for the weeks ahead, no shorts/swimmers, she seems fine in herself. FIL now home in Belfast after having a pacemaker fitted, all safe.
Scentia your hotel sounds ‘interesting’, hope you’re back to home comforts soon. What a game last night.

Good morning all from Peak District where more rain is forecast.
Discovered yesterday that my walking boots are no longer waterproof ? Bit of research says there is a shop in the next village which sells walking gear so a shopping trip is planned.
The very friendly neighbour (who also looks after the house) has given me lots of suggestions for walks and recommended local pub so we will have plenty to keep us occupied.
My main challenge has been trying to get stuff dried as too warm for heating and too wet for the washing line. Luckily Freddie doesn’t mind the hair dryer.
Been catching up with some of the BBC Sounds dramas which I often listen to in the car but never get to hear the whole series.
