I know what you mean. She always looked good and wore dresses etc but this year it’s frumpy jackets and trousers.

I think she may have had some work done as her cheeks look all puffy. Has anyone noticed that or am I imagining it.

Oh, how I longed for the sensible comments from Sue Barker when some of the commentators (especially on the women's matches) were wittering on and on about inconsequential rubbish during matches.

Sue Barker's replacement on A Question of Sport is Paddy McGuinness!!! Past and present question masters and team captains have had sporting backgrounds so where is McGuinness's sporting pedigree? This bloke pops up everywhere.

Paddy McGuiness, switch him off whenever he comes on. Aggravating and too cocky. How he’s got on Question of Sport, he’s ruined it, where was the thinking behind that. It makes you wonder.

Thank you Callistemon for highlighting the voicing of ‘inconsequential rubbish’ chat during matches. Whenever Andrew Castle used to be on I had to mute the sound. I want knowledgeable comments about the progress of the match from McEnroe, Martina, and the like. I have to be honest I haven’t heard Sue Barker this time as I mostly watch the men’s matches.

She is being replaced on Question of Sport , maybe the door will be open for Andy Murray to host that programme and Wimbledon .

I have to say that I think I Sue Barker has been brilliant for women's tennis, first as a player and then as a tv presenter.
Don't lets knock her and spoil her well earned retirement.

She's excellent on Question of Sport too.

NanKate I'm not sure who the two were, possibly Annabelle Croft and Martina? Definitely not Sue Barker.

I turned the sound off too then couldn't hear the satisfying thwack of the ball, the sighs of the crowd but DH said it was a relief not to hear the cries or grunts from the players - he said one of them sounded like a fox calling!

I'm not sure if your comment was to me Kim but I certainly wasn't being unkind. I merely thought her appearance had changed. I actually really like Sue Barker even with puffy cheeks.

I’ve just seen Sue Barker for the first time this Wimbledon and sadly have to agree her appearance has changed immensely. That awful yellow jacket and her hair needs styling imo. Tracey Austen has matured much better.

However if you saw me now lying on the sofa, no makeup, wrapped in a rug watching the telly, considering having a piece of chocolate, you would think I looked a bit rubbish too ?

Just seen Chris Evert and thought she looked very elegant - even wearing trainers!
