Having seen Gingster's lovely wedding picture on the Good Morning thread, I'm curious to see more from other GNs. I'll start with mine! This was 1972; would have been our Golden next year, but DH sadly died three years ago. Still brings back so many happy memories.

All beautiful wedding photos. I’m really enjoying looking through them and attaching them to so many familiar Gransnet names.

Here we are, or were, should I say. We got married in 1974.

I have to say we have some very glamorous members here on GN.
I am sure we have matured into elegant middle age, old age in my case.

Second marriage at 40, OH is 35. I was 5 months pregnant which had been a bit of a shock but I loved going round our guests telling them that bit of news!

October 1967. It was a grey, wet day and I was thankful my dress was velvet with long sleeves.

Loving all these photos!

I love this thread - thank you to everyone who has posted a photo smile

This was me at my first wedding in the spring of 1970 - at the Registry Office on Jackson’s Row in Manchester.

My second wedding was at the end of summer 1986 - note the groom’s gorgeous auburn hair; he’s now a silver fox, but still the love of my life. ❤️

WOW Aldom what a beautiful photo. Your look is so classic that it wouldn't look out of place on a bride of today.
Loving these photos so much. My wedding photos are hideous. We ran out of money and the photographer was cheap. It's my only regret 40 yrs on.

Aldom Mon 12-Jul-21 13:48:56

May7 Thank you.

Oh, I remembered my wedding. I thought I was a princess and everything was just so wonderful. That day was worth all the money because the wedding only happens once (for lucky people). Personally, I can recommend the place of my wedding, you can check the website www.poptop.uk.com/venue/therefineryspinningfields/. You won't regret it, I promise!

AngelikaSt - I’m afraid your venue is permanently closed.

All the photos on here are lovely. I'm not sure how to download a photo, but we were married in 1964. DH was 24, I was 21. It was February 1st,my mother thought it would be cold and probably snowing judging by the previous year. It wasn't, it was a beautiful early spring day. Like the photos on here we both look so young, my parents looked so young ,they would have been 45 and 44,so I suppose they were. It was a fabulous day. We are now in our 80's Derby and Joan, happy and comfortable!

Beautiful brides. All of you. I will have to find one of mine from our wedding in 1968.

This is an old thread but there was an earlier post, which was deleted, to bump it up. Here goes and I’ll try and find a picture of my wedding in 1972.
