When I’m feeling sorry for myself and find my past mistakes and personal sorrows overwhelming me, this is what I say to myself to drown them out.

Not in a religious way but "there but for the grace of god go I" and "do unto others as you would be done to you" always taught my 2DS that one.and "put yourself in their shoes".
