Just seen Harry has written a tell it all book, well with a ghost writer anyway. What on earth is left to say? From what I understand it’s his life from his viewpoint along with lessons for us all. I’m beginning to feel sorry for the rest of the RF. where is it going to end.

for those who seem to think it's only the DM who write about harry!

The duke, 36, said in a statement he would write the memoir "not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become".

A man?

Definitely not a man........more a puppet!

Anniebach the press only love Harry as long as the public do and I think that the public are loosing interest fast.

But remember the people who will buy these books and generate the money this couple need to finance their lavish lifestyle are in the USA, not the UK. The US pubic has an insatiable appetite for royalty, and the more bizarre the better.

Do not forget that the US has magazines that make our gossip magazines like Hello and OK look like children's bedside reading. Currently the H&M are on the front page every week. and I do not mean the shop

Anniebach Sat 24-Jul-21 09:25:21

MOnica thank you, my knowledge of US magazines is nil.

This couple would sell their souls .

Lucca Sat 24-Jul-21 09:27:37

“ This couple would sell their souls .”. We know that do we ?

Written a book, has he? Heaven help us!

Well he’s not exactly written it himself.

They are like the Kardashians, their lives are their main source of income, and they want a comparable lifestyle to the Kardashians and that can only be sustained by a constant flow of 'tell all' stories that grab the headlines.

Whether, like the Kardashians, they will know the optimum moment to step back, I am less convinced. I think they will become like so many 15 minute celebrities, desperately selling themselves in tawdrier and tawdrier venues for less and less money and ending up in debt and bankruptcy - except, at that point, The Family will step in, sort them out, but at a price, banishment to a grace and favour residence in the Scottish highlands or deep in the Pennines, with occasional trips further afield.

Ellianne used the correct descriptor in my opinion, distasteful. The whole tacky business is distasteful.

I'm sorry to say that the "man" Harry says he has become seems to be a vengeful, jealous, entitled person who maybe has always been this way, but covered it up with his jack-the-lad persona.

He's not compassionate, he's not even "woke".

Lucca Sun 25-Jul-21 09:10:47

“ I'm sorry to say “. Really ?

lemsip Sun 25-Jul-21 09:16:00

Sparklefizz Ditto, I agree with your comment.

I'm pleased to read that his ex army colleagues will be watching what he writes in his books ......

You think they're going to take him out for spilling the beans?

I think putting the word "man" in inverted commas is particularly childish and unnecessary. Says more about the user's attitudes than the subject of the insult.

Chestnut Sun 25-Jul-21 09:37:50

Sarah Vine has just said:
"...... you don’t get a four-book deal with an advance approaching £30 million if the person signing the cheque doesn’t know for sure there’s some seriously juicy stuff on offer."

Sparklefizz Sun 25-Jul-21 10:18:25

Alegrias I think putting the word "man" in inverted commas is particularly childish and unnecessary. Says more about the user's attitudes than the subject of the insult

Nonsense. Inverted commas are quotation marks and I was quoting what he said.

Sparklefizz Sun 25-Jul-21 10:20:17

Lucca

“ I'm sorry to say “. Really ?

Yes, Lucca. I'm sorry because I fell for the jack-the-lad charming persona and was a great fan of his ..... but now he has shown his true colours.

Oh, OK. It just that when people put "man" in inverted commas like that when they are talking about Harry it often implies that they think he he is less of a man because he takes notice of the needs of his wife and family and doesn't stick to the rigid rules of the Royal family. In other words, they don't think he's very manly hmm.

Anniebach Sun 25-Jul-21 10:32:43

The needs of his wife ? ‘What Megan wants, Megan gets’

FannyCornforth Sun 25-Jul-21 10:32:59

I think that he does come across as emasculated.

The way Meghan holds his arm and gazes up adoringly in all those photos (and there are very many).
She looks like she’s the proud mummy of a toddler who has just done something rather clever.

I know that you don’t agree with me Lucca and Alegrias, and I honestly do value your opinions and wisdom, but the man is an utter buffoon. A complete fool.

I have often wondered what Meghan really thinks of him.
He would drive me up the bloody wall with his constant drippy carping.
He needs a metaphorical kick up the backside.

Alegrias1 Sun 25-Jul-21 10:37:44

I disagree Fanny, yes, and its right that we can disagree without descending into insult and invective.

I don't think he comes across as emasculated at all. (In what I see - I must say I don't watch Saturday night Ch5 documentaries smile)

You don't know he's a buffoon. You don't know he's a complete fool. That's your opinion. The papers tell you he is, you see somebody who doesn't fit the template of a good Royal husband and you think he's a drip.

That's unfair. Meghan clearly adores him. She's not that good an actress.

FannyCornforth Sun 25-Jul-21 10:42:13

I do know that I’m a very good judge of character though smile

FannyCornforth Sun 25-Jul-21 10:44:11

The papers don’t ‘tell me’ anything, thank you very much!
I do try to apply a degree of critical thinking!

So actually my post didn't say anything about my attitudes, did it???? You jumped to conclusions and that was a wasted insult Alegrias smile smile smile

FannyCornforth Sun 25-Jul-21 10:46:26

Sorry, last post from me on that Alegrias, but your last post made an awful lot of assumptions about me.
I thought that we weren’t supposed to do that?

Sparklefizz Sun 25-Jul-21 10:47:12

Alegrias You don't know he's a buffoon. You don't know he's a complete fool. That's your opinion. The papers tell you he is, you see somebody who doesn't fit the template of a good Royal husband and you think he's a drip.

So when people call Boris "a buffoon", they base it on what he says and what he does, even though we don't know him personally. Ditto Prince Harry.
