Just seen Harry has written a tell it all book, well with a ghost writer anyway. What on earth is left to say? From what I understand it’s his life from his viewpoint along with lessons for us all. I’m beginning to feel sorry for the rest of the RF. where is it going to end.

Hmmm....if only there was a way we could choose who the Head of State was, instead of just having to take what we're given....

Calendargirl Wed 21-Jul-21 17:59:31

I live in dread of anything happening to Wills and Kate

If it did, God forbid, it wouldn’t move over to Harry.

The order of succession is;

Charles
William
George
Charlotte
Louis

Only then is it Harry.

Of course, George would not be old enough yet, but a regent would be appointed, seeing as Harry has ‘stepped back’ don’t suppose it would be him.

But he is way down the pecking order to be King.

Sparklefizz and Calendargirl, I would imagine the Cambridge family will be travelling together in a helicopter to the Isles of Scilly for a holiday this summer. So potentially, although it doesn't bear thinking about, they could all be wiped out.

Anniebach Wed 21-Jul-21 18:15:46

They should stop traveling together, after Harry comes Andrew !!!!

Ellianne Wed 21-Jul-21 18:21:39

Meghan Lost Her Marbles I've never heard that name before Infinity2!
As a literary scholar, I saw this kids' book on Anazon which I thought encompassed the themes Meghan likes ...... mermaid, Pearl, illustration, though I don't think she is the author!

Calendargirl Wed 21-Jul-21 18:25:51

After Harry, it’s Archie and Lilibet!

Then Andrew.

Anniebach Wed 21-Jul-21 18:30:02

Yes , thank you Calendargirl I had forgotten the little ones.

Calendargirl Wed 21-Jul-21 18:33:02

Meghan for Regent!

shock

Infinity2 Wed 21-Jul-21 19:01:53

Calendargirl - Are you a political agitator ?
I’d rather have you for Regent ?

Smileless2012 Wed 21-Jul-21 19:11:00

Well as it's extremely unlikely that if we were to have a Head of State that s/he would be everyone's choice Alegrias, there'll always be a percentage of the population who'll just have to take what they're given.

That being the case, I'd rather it were the RF.

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 23-Jul-21 22:50:45

Just heard he has a contract to write four books (the mind boggles) but second won’t be released until after HM’s death. Something nasty in that about her or Prince Philip I guess. So that hangs over the RF - and they expect to have the Christening here?

Namsnanny Fri 23-Jul-21 23:00:24

Oh really Germanshepherdsmum? That sounds awful.

How can they live with themselves?

Chestnut Fri 23-Jul-21 23:10:49

Yes, just heard it was four books and thought how awful for the Queen to know he has written things to be published after her death because he doesn't want her to see them. It just keeps getting worse! I can't believe how savagely he has betrayed his family. I can't see how they can ever forgive him for this.

Ellianne Fri 23-Jul-21 23:22:17

I was prepared to have a laugh about the title of Harry's new book earlier, but what I have just read about waiting until after the Queen's death to publish the second one is both distasteful and out of order.

Chestnut Fri 23-Jul-21 23:27:15

Exactly, Ellianne. Every new piece of news about Harry gets progressively worse, always more distasteful and more out of order. He is a walking disaster zone.

Aveline Sat 24-Jul-21 07:21:49

I didn't think I could think even less of Harry but this news about him having a book to be published after the Queen's death has shocked me. What a quite dreadful thing to promise.
Remove his passport. Don't let him back in the country.

It’s actually going to run to four volumes

seacliff Sat 24-Jul-21 07:30:47

That is very cruel to let it be announced now. The Queen doesn't deserve this.

Calendargirl Sat 24-Jul-21 07:33:43

Hopefully, if the Queen lives as long as her mother, i.e. another six years or so, the interest in H&M will have resolved itself, one way or another, and the books will never be published.

Sparklefizz Sat 24-Jul-21 07:52:08

It's shocking and vicious and horrible to announce that so that Queen has it hanging over her head. If he has things he doesn't want her to read and hates her that much, why name his daughter Lilibet - why want a Christening at Windsor? Well, we know why, don't we? It's to promote his brand.

Harry used to be my favourite a few years ago but every time I think he could sink no lower in my estimation, he somehow manages it. An opinion poll last month showed he was lower in popularity than even Prince Andrew .... he is at rock bottom!

I hope he never comes back to the UK, even for a visit, as the hypocrisy would be unbearable. I hope this latest fiasco is enough to get his titles removed.

Alegrias1 Sat 24-Jul-21 08:04:26

However, a spokesperson for the Duke told The Independent that contrary to “false media reports”, the only memoir in the works is the previously announced volume that’s set to be published by Penguin Random House in late 2022.

Don't believe everything you read in the papers ladies ? Especially the ones who really hate Harry

Alegrias1 Sat 24-Jul-21 08:10:49

not Andrew, obviously, although the latest polls have shown that Harry is even less popular than Andrew .... he must be at rock bottom!

Depends who you ask. I guess some older people prefer allegations of sexual impropriety to being married to an American.

It's not "being married to an American" that's been the problem, though.

Anniebach Sat 24-Jul-21 08:46:16

The press love Harry , and Harry needs the press.

eazybee Sat 24-Jul-21 08:50:28

I hoped that the report of four books to come from Harry was merely the Daily Mail making mischief, but bearing in mind Harry and Meghan's penchant for suing I imagine the Mail will be careful with allegations it makes. Plus the fact that the couple's airy disregard for truth makes it difficult to believe anything they say.
