Ooh B9 that sounds wonderful, if hectic! Have a great weekend.

Ooh B9 that sounds wonderful, if hectic! Have a great weekend.
Good morning all, SW Herts now, we are back home and ploughing through the washing.
Ash I am so sorry to hear of your loss.
But today is DH's birthday, and he has opened his surprise. A trip to DriveDad'sCar to drive an Austin 7, a Jaguar XS and a Rolls Royce. It means packing to go away again, our cat sitters have stayed on (DH was puzzled why they were still here!
Tomorrow I am going with some friends to a picnic on the lawns of Buckingham Palace (yes, really!)
and DH will pick me up from the station on my return and we will then head up to Derbyshire. for his driving experience on Sunday, then two days with DD and family in a cottage.
Keep safe and well everyone.
It was supposed to say good morning!
Good luck all from a sunny Lancashire. It’s much cooler here today thanks to a very strong breeze, which is lovely! Yesterday we had a trip to the fells above Trough of Bowland, took a picnic and had a lovely time. It was very peaceful, when the sun comes out here everyone heads for the beaches. We’ve had a very busy week so not a lot planned for today.
Your theatre trip sounds wonderful Mick, Condolences to Ashcombe on the loss of your friend. Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs lins.
Sounds like everyone had a busy day yesterday, and lots affected by wheezing in the heat. Hope all have a restful Friday. ?
Good morning all,
It’s an overcast start to the day here in South Yorkshire but is supposed to brighten up a bit as the day progresses. It’s a little cooler, though still feels quite muggy and was still uncomfortable through the night.
Sorry to hear about your friend, Ashcombe, so sad.
Well, I’ll pop out and water the tomato plants (which are a disappointment so far this year, with little sign of many fruits). I remain optimistic that they will improve though, but they are certainly not as far on as this time last year.
Happy anniversary Mr and Mrs Lins. ??
Good morning Mick and all his followers. It’s overcast and breezy in Suffolk and much cooler. I shall cut the lawn and do a bit more weeding.
It’s good to have something to look forward to with these theatre trips and trips away. I think I shall look for something in the early autumn.
We had a Tesco home delivery yesterday evening, since I have a couple more days of isolation. They now bring everything in crates which you have to unpack, so DH unpacked them into bags which I then unpacked in the kitchen.
I was reminded of your DH Marydoll when I found two loaves of bread at the bottom of a bags, with bags of onions and potatoes on top. Well they won’t fit in the toaster! I did have gentle words ?.
I hope the day is kind to everyone.
Congratulations, Mr&Mrs Lins Have a lovely day! ??
Good morning from a slightly cooler Black Country.
Thoughts of my Dad today, as it would have been his 98th birthday.
DD and family go on holiday to Wales today. Hopefully it will not rain too much!
Not been to the Zoo for a very long time Monk, even though it is nearby. Have memories of going often when a child. No real plans today, just go with the flow.
So sorry to hear about your friend Ashcombe
Happy Anniversary Mr&Mrs Lins

Happy Anniversary Mr&MrsLins???
Thank you Jax, Gingster and Grandmabatty it is our 44th.
Last night's moon was amazing Dwm I'm sure your grandsons enjoyed it.
Marydoll when dad retired he bought an enormous caravan at Kinkell Braes. The children were small and loved going there, as did the adults. Sadly, having bought it, mum and dad didn't really enjoy it and a few years on, they sold it. My children still have fond memories of the caravan and St Andrews, hence going tomorrow!
Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire where it’s rather cloudy at the moment.
Sad news about your friend Ash, so young.
That looks interesting Gelisajams, pity you couldn’t go inside. Love the flamingoes GG13
What a good idea to review your day like that Kim, I often ask the GC what the best but if their day was but never think about my own experiences. I’ll give it a go.
Yesterday’s afternoon at Gullane beach was fun with DS’s two little ones, it stayed overcast until late in the day which meant it was perfect weather for them to play and paddle. There was even a one way system on and off the beach as the paths through the dunes are narrow.
Charity shop day for me, I hope there’s lots of bric to sort through, there were slim pickings on my last day so the shelves were a little uninspiring.
Hope it’s a peaceful day for everyone.
Happy anniversary to Mr&MrsLins ??????
Happy anniversary mr and Mrs Lins1066. ???
Happy Anniversary Mr&MrsLins ??
Good morning all from a sunny north Surrey. Feels a few degrees cooler.
Sorry to her of the death of your theatre friend Ash.
I let the boys stay up late last night to watch the moon rise and look at it through the binoculars. They loved it and are now reliving the experience looking at the photos DGS1 took. I do love to experience things through their young eyes.
After they had gone to bed we discovered maggots in our kitchen, yuck. DH spent an hour cleaning out the bin and cupboard whilst I “supervised”. Thankfully the rubbish week is next week and our collection is on a Monday so his job will be to power wash the wheelie bin once it is empty.
I was up early and been to the gym and washing is on the line. Waiting for the boys to say they are hungry as they are having pancakes for breakfast. DD is just having couple of hours sleep as she has booked them for the dentist late morning. Good timing as I am working a late so will be off to work.
My car is going in for a service and MOT this morning so will be borrowing DH’s to get to work.
Will clean the bathrooms this morning and instructions for DH to give the kitchen a good clean later today. Also need to take the gazebo down before rain which is forecast for tomorrow. Not as simple as it sounds as DH and I are both rubbish at anything technical (and we will definitely make it so).
Wishing all a happy Friday ?☀️
Good morning from a still warm S Welsh coast.
A friend is coming for coffee this morning, we will sit on the patio and put the world to rights. It is our wedding anniversary today, we have never made much of anniversaries but Mr Lins has just brought me breakfast in bed and a lovely bunch of flowers, think I will keep him ?
I'm sorry about your friend Ash that's no age is it.
Thinking of our missing posters, especially our Friday girl today. Best wishes to all those who are struggling for whatever reason.
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Grandmabatty, we have so many happy memories of caravan holidays ( couldn't afford a cottage) in St Andrew's.
One memorable one had myself, DH, DS1, DS2, my brother, my BIL, SIL and SIL's brother all crammed in a caravan, while not surprisingly, the men went golfing!!! Shades of the Broons!

Marydoll it's one of my favourite places too. I don't think we'll be venturing to the shops though. Dd,sil and dgs are taking me and we will be heading for the beach. Probably the west sands. I love a wander round the town and St Andrews had really quirky and independent shops, but sil may not share my passion for shops. It'll depend on the forecast too.
Morning Mick and all
Warm and sunny here in S E Essex, doesn’t feel as hot as yesterday.
We had a lovely day at the zoo, ending with a trip to our local Indian restaurant (my first job today is to remove chicken tikka masala sauce from The Imps once white T shirt!!
They are both here today, so no doubt it will be water and squeals in the garden.
Sorry to hear of your friend Ashcombe ?
We saw lots of flamingos, here is one of the photos (David Bailey I am not ?)
Keep safe and well folks ?♀️?
Good morning from Shetland where a tropical 14 degrees is promised. Sad news from Ash to start the day.
Yesterday we headed to the south of the island again from where we got a boat to the uninhabited island of Mousa. Here stands the best preserved broch to be found anywhere in Scotland. Its an Iron Age drystone structure that stands Over 13 meters high. Unfortunately restrictions meant we could only peer inside and not climb the internal staircase. Not that I would want to - I don’t like heights, but DH was a bit disappointed.
Will stay local to the croft today. We have travelled a lot of miles over the last few days.
Take care everyone and stay safe. ?
Grandmabatty, I envy you. St Andrew's is one on my favourite places. We are off to seaman's cottage in Anstruther in September, {I hope!) and of course a trip to St Andrew's will be on the itinery!
There is a shop in St Andrew's Kalu and I cannot resist. I never come out empty handed. It's called, Pretty Things. NanKate, you would love it!

Good morning all and it much cooler and overcast here on the Suffolk coast. I don’t mind! I like contrasts in weather.
Thank you everyone for your kind birthday wishes yesterday. I had a lovely day - I hope you did too Grannygravy
Ashcombe how sad to hear of your young friends passing. ?
Marydoll how frustrating for you . All dressed ready in preparation for the make over. ?. But a good result with the damaged table. You will probably be able to do something with it to make it usable. ?
Scentia your poor shoulder. Launching Gs across the pool probably didn’t improve it. Look after it. ?.
Mick - I too have booked to see Cinderella in September. I hope it opens as I think the theatre has been closed again. I think you’ll have more of a chance in December than I do in September as Covid concerns will be high again after the summer gatherings. Let’s hope! As you say ‘something to look forward to’.
Wishing you all a pleasant day whatever lies ahead. ?
Good morning all. Overcast here so far. Yesterday was so humid it took me ages to do the few jobs I needed to get done.
In the morning DH sent me a text to see if I wanted to go for a coffee at our local marina so we did. It’s such a lovely area 10 minutes drive away but it’s like being in your hols!
My dentist appointment wasn’t too bad. The bad news is my dentist is now away for 6 weeks so my next appt is end of September. At least my purse has chance to recover. Something suddenly came time last night when I remembered in the first lockdown I managed to save quite a decent sum each month. I paid a round figure into the bank and left some in my bedside cabinet until that too reached the same amount. I haven’t added to it for a while but was it still there ( foggy brain) and yes it was. So at least a little contribution to the cost for my crown.
No plans for today except meeting DIL this afternoon after her midwife appointment.
Sorry to hear your sad news Ashcombe sometimes life just isn’t fair ?
Have a good day all
