Still no news?

It did happen before when he was taken to hospital unexpectedly. Hope he's ok but that is a concern that someone could be ill or just leave and we often never know the reason why.

Still no news about * Rufus* despite e mails and PMs , I realise if for some reason I didn’t post there we’d be no one to pick up the threads j ust hope he has pooter problems which are solved soon.

The latest response I got to an email was this morning and it said ' user unknown in virtual mailbox table'. He certainly always used to email me from that address

BlueSky I just don't know. It always used to work and is the email address he used to email me from.

I’ve googled it as I’m no computer wizard and it could be due to computer problems. Let’s hope so anyway.

I am thinking of Rufus also and hoping he is alright.

We know his given name, the given name of his dear late wife and also the name of his son so if the worst has happened maybe the tribute column in the Melbourne newspapers will give us a clue.

We have had our spats but I’d be relieved to hear Rufus is OK as well.
Just as an idea- when some of us knew how poorly Phoenix was, we asked if she would designate a friend or someone else close to take over if she got to the point of not either wanting or being able to post. It was a hard thing to ask because it sounded so negative, but might be worth bearing in mind for internet friends or GN contacts.

Hello all concerned, I put my two penny worth on Friesday post yesterday started by Aveline, No one seems to know further about Rufus which as I said could apply to most of us.

BlueBelle - yes, that is a good idea to share an email address with a GN friend. Only Phoenix (Rachel) had mine.

I think that 2 GNers have my email address, also my home address.

Rufus and I did have our diagreements, but I wouldn't like to think anything has happened to him.

This is a long shot.
Aveline, I know you are very IT literate, so you may have already done this, have you considered removing Rufus' saved email address from your saved addresses and typing it in manually, just in case it has been corrupted? I know this is one of many fixes for this error code.

It could also be a server problem at his end.

I have shared my email with three or four friends from here but I think it’s really worth doing for everybody to share with at least one person

I guess HQ would have informed enquirers if he had been banned, back in March he and I got ‘ told off’when someone had complained about some comments we made. and I believe he was in the corner on the naughty step for a while. He has also had a couple of spells in hospital, so lets hope for the best.
