Anyone else suffering from the tree pollen?
Recalled for a further appointment after a routine mammogram
Here we are yet again,
Happy as we can be...
All good friends and jolly good company.
WELCOME to our very own kitchen in which we celebrate happy occasions and support each other through the difficult times.

Just popping back in to say hello to all and I’m glad the ‘phone call was promising soop, having all the paperwork in order is a great help,
Turned out to be a very sunny afternoon following a long, misty morning.
I have baked cheese scones and have put a small mountain of them on the side for you lovely Ladies, with butter to go inside them, and a pitcher of Cider on Ice.
Hope you agree the 2 things go quite nicely together?
soop you have the patience of a Saint. With your health records on the drop-bot stretching back so far back you could make it into some kind of medical Guinness Book of Records.
I hope they fast track you now.
Congrats to you and your family Maw, your new grandson did indeed make a quick entry into the world. As long as mum and baby are safe and well, that is all we ask for.
SueD I have an amusing picture in my mind of you, your DH, the bean-less bag and the beads rolling every-which-way around your garage floor ?
BladeAnnie we all wished your speech to go well yesterday and I’m sure it did.
Hoping it was a wonderful, family occasion. ?♀️ ? ?
Have a good evening everyone and hoping those who are a little below par like cornergran are “on the Up”.
Grandmabatty Is the bun big enough to share? Is it buttered? Right! I'm with you in spirit.
Mr Soop has been amazing. I have three files of records. All in proper sequence. All info' at my fingertips. Surprising how long the exercise has taken. Well worth the effort.
Time to log off and relax a while.
Here is last night's sunset for you. Plus a photo that my son has unearthed of my great grandfather. He was my Nana's father. He fought in the Boar War.
Goodnight my lovelies. Until tomorrow

Bless you, TillyTrotter
What a worry for you Muse do hope your daughter will be O.K.
That sounds more encouraging Soop what a star Mr.Soop is.?Very interested to hear what you think of the GX pillow I’ve been thinking of getting one.
DGS can come out of isolation tomorrow he can’t wait. ? Rest of the family are fine thank goodness.
Hope your having a great holiday Jax weather looks better.
Congratulations Maw.
Have a good evening everyone.
Congratulations maw and to the family. How exciting. A huge well done to your daughter.
It sounds an almost positive phone call soop but how I wish there would be no more delays. A very distinguished great grandfather, isn’t it wonderful to be able to see our long ago family.
Cheese scones are one of my favourites tillytrotter, many thanks.
Sorry, charley, the Butler says he’s like fine wine and doesn’t travel well
.
This idle person has spent the afternoon chatting on the phone. I’m told an hour before our meal, fine by me as appetite seems to have left me.
Take care everyone.
Good afternoon dear kitcheners and a huge thank you for all your best wishes for DD2s wedding. It was a wonderful day even the torrential rain didn't spoil it at all. I walked my little girl (still think of her as that) down the aisle and gave her away to her partner who has been with her for almost ten years. Longer than Mr BA and I!! Cornergran I did my speech - quite pleased with myself although I did get a little emotional ?. We did a facetime with DD1 who was understandably upset to miss the big day (b****y covid). Anyway I've been and left them cake on their doorstep and saw them through the window. Today has been fetching and carrying from the venue - and tomorrow will be a day of rest!! Muse I do hope things are OK with your DD - what a worry for you. And soop glad your appointment was positive one. A new baby Maw - congratulations to you all. I think Mr BA is as tired as I am but he still in the kitchen cooking up a storm for tea - what a man!! Enjoy the rest of Wednesday ? Photo of the beautiful bride
Ooh cheese scones Tilly - don't mind if I do and thank you ?
BladeAnnie your daughter is absolutely beautiful. I'm glad you had a great day. Well done on the speech.
‘Evening All’.
Firstly, congratulations to you Maw on the safe arrival of a new baby boy in your family! Such joyous news.
We’ve been out and abouting today. We strolled into Torremolinos (takes us just over an hour). We enjoyed a small beer and tapas inside a dark (and deliciously cool) bodega. It was busy with locals - always a good sign - and we were ushered to the last available table. Yay! Himself had to have the mussels he couldn’t resist. I had small fried cod pancakes they were delicious.
We even walked almost the full way back too. A different route, along the paseo but succumbed to a taxi for the final leg!
Home to several glasses of water, then a cup of tea. Feet up and my book. Himself is in the shower now and I’m next before heading out to meet friends for G&T’s in the bar downstairs (so glad there’s no more walking involved today!) then over the road to share pizzas and wine. I know.
?
P.s. Meant to say ‘secondly’ a beautiful bride BladeAnnie!
Sounds the perfect day bladeannie. A beautiful bride indeed. Doesn’t she look happy? Delighted for you the. speech went well, emotion at a wedding is definitely allowed. Enjoy your rest tomorrow. Well deserved.

What a beautiful bride BladeAnnie you must be so proud.
BladeAnnie, what a lovely girl, glad all went well.
Soop, I`m glad the phone call was promising, everything crossed for you that can be crossed.
Any name for the babe yet Maw?
Meant to add Soop, your great grandfather was an impressive looking soldier
grandmabatty I like a good splash in the puddles myself. Glad the boy wonder had a good time.
Urms that’s a shame poor man. Only trying to be helpful and someone steals his phone.
Muse sorry to hear about your daughter. Hope she’s feeling better now.
Maw wonderful news. Congratulations. So lovely to have a new baby in the family.
corner good to hear you’re being well looked after.
Bladeannie how lovely your DD looks. Shame her sister couldn’t be there but glad your speech went well.
soop, Mr Soop is indeed a star to sort out all your files for you. I hope the physio comes up with something helpful..
Urms ?, I’m not at all jealous …….honestly I’m not……I love pizza……and ?. ?
Have a good evening all
A wedding and a baby! How fabulous! ❤️ Your daughter looks beautiful, BladeAnnie and huge congratulations on the new arrival, Maw.
Tilleytrotter your vision and Dh and me and the bean bag balls wasn’t far wrong. The down side of doing it in the garage was that the slightest puff of wind sent balls rolling everywhere.
. And cheese scones, you say? Yummm!
Soop, you’ve had a problem for ten years? That’s really bad, I hope they get a wiggle on and get you back in full working condition soon.
.
I took a look at the info pack I was given at my appointment on Monday. There’s a whole 24 page glossy brochure about anaesthetics. It’s full of photos of happy, smiley people who are about to be bopped on the head with a mallet to put them to sleep. It made me laugh! ?
Another busy day today. I removed all the junk from the sitting room in order to host book group tomorrow. I can see the coffee table now. I also finished the book just this evening, hurrah! I’ve replaced the child seat into my car and loaded car up with the old china my dd wants. I’m going down to look after youngest GC tomorrow and Friday.
I went to the beautician to get a soak off of my nail polish. I’m leaving them as nature intended for a while, having treated myself to gel nails all summer. Bought a present for a new baby and found some nice biscuits in our small town without having to resort to Tesco’s. Had coffee in my favourite coffee shop.
My Dh went to help next door with their dog. It’s a Newfoundland and absolutely ENORMOUS. It needed to go to the vet but they couldn’t get it into the car by themselves, it was a three-man job. Heeeeeave! Dh also made a massive chilli con carne for me to take down to my dd tomorrow for her freezer. She’s stocking up prior to baby no 2 arriving next month.
I also had an Amazon delivery today. I’m getting a twice-weekly milk delivery from next week and needed an insulated container for it to go in on the doorstep. Let’s just say it didn’t look that big in the photos!
Congratulations to Maw! What lovely news! Glad the wedding went well BA.
DH has just given a lecture for the first time in two years - it was like he had never retired!
The granddog is back at her home and the cat comes home tomorrow. That means one whole night uninterrupted by an animal!
I hope everyone sleeps well. Night night
Your baby girl is all grown-up BladeAnnie and makes a beautiful Bride. It’s hard to think of them as women when they were our babies.
I’m so pleased you got through your speech, and you all had a splendid Day. ❤️
Congratulations Maw and well done BA, what a joyous bride!
Honestly soop, good chat, but action is well overdue, let’s hope it’s very soon.
You’ve been a whirlwind of activity SueDonim, you deserve a big gold star.
We met up with friends we haven’t seen for two years last night, they’re driving their camper on a two week break and diverted to see us. Today the men are playing golf, I’ll be walking with our friend and dogs.
No news from muse hope her DD is recovered.
Enjoy your day all PS fudge from Cheddar on the side.
Congratulations too to Maw and BladeAnnie. Uplifting news. Have made broccoli soup, bread rolls, pasta sauce. Two washes done. Listening to Woman's Hour while eating chocolate limes. I will brush my teeth vigorously.. DDs hopefully on the mend. A surreal week. A few more days to go for them.
Thinking of GrandMattie.
?Hello from sunny Cornwall. I post at length as it's a full work load outside this afternoon for me.
?First a huge thank you to those who sent such kind thoughts about my DD. We chatted twice yesterday and she sounded much better than her two texts from the previous day. She should be getting that call from the doctor today. I am still fuming that she was told she had to do an eConsult first after the hospital let her home last Friday. She is starting to look for another doctor. She still has the symptoms but they wear off in the evening when she is relaxed but start again the next day. She daren't drive in case she feels faint. Her lovely neighbour sat with her last Friday till the paramedics came. DGD was at her father's that night.
It was such a long tiring day yesterday as MrM and myself were up till almost sunset with bucket, mop and brush. Another failed day with jet washing the stubborn concrete dust off the new limestone slabs. It was getting expensive. MrM was asking for an industrial cleaner but I decided to ask for MrGoogle's help. We needed a specific cleaning fluid! By chance, the solution I'd bought to clean the slates in the house would do the job. Phil and workmate couldn't start it as they finish at 4:00pm, so MrM and myself where out there trying, first a test area, (cleaned and applied two coats of sealer) - success - so we then did one full side as rain is expected on Friday. The sun's out and Phil and mate are busy. Should have finished cleaning and sealing today.
I read all yesterday's post in bed last night. Such a lot of activity out there. So much energy. Jax, walking and swimming. SueDonim, hoovering up balls and cleaning windows (Windowlene?- must remember that).
?Babies have arrived and babies are on their way. Congrats to SueDonim and MayBeMaw.
I'm so glad your hopes are positive soop but 35 procedures and appointments ?
Oh BladeAnnie. Beautiful photo of your darling little girl. Well done with arranging the Facetime viewing?
Just taken a Blueberry and lemon drizzle loaf cake out of the oven. Grab a slice before MrM gets to it. It's his dressing change today. Doppler Test has just been booked - 3 weeks !!!
Roll on bed time ?.
Just popping my head round the kitchen door after my prolonged abscence. Our horrible august didn’t improve with the start of September as I received an upsetting health diagnosis. After initial panic I have calmed down.
