Good Morning Everyone,
Its looking like another cloudy day here in brackley also had overnight rain.
Yesterdays bus trip out was a change of plan , I went to Bicester earlier, so had to pay a fare, but returned via Buckingham ,and taking a village route back on another bus , where most of the East/West Rail and HS2 work is taking place , its been 18 months since I last went that way and changes very noticeable, I had a coffee in Buckingham before getting the bus home.
Today, housework plus small shop ,and the Vuelta later on TV.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Mck and all from Cloudy Chambers, Suet on Sea, Lancashire coast.
So enjoyed seeing everyone at the folk club last night, although the voice felt rusty and shaky after lockdown neglect. Two people sang solos I have been preparing, bugger, so will put them back on the shelf for a bit.
House stuff today, will book a ticket for our local theatre production opening soon, hooray and I might paint a watercolour.
Binge watched the three episodes on the Boleyn family. Initially I thought not another Boleyn production, but as it was about her ambitious family, it was riveting.
Thoughts to harrigran Pheonix and anyone with a shadow across their hearts.

The sun has broken through for a bit here in SW Herts. Dome better news Ash, and lovely to hear from you OldUdders can we all pop the bubbles when you two finally get together???
Happy Anniversary GrandmaDinosaur ? for you too! I seem to remember a rather rufe song about an 'alabaster plasterer' from my youth which is best forgotten...
Hoping for a painfree day for Phoenix and a peaceful flight out of this world when the time comes. Also that her family can feel supported.

We have lunch out with an old friend who got married recently. It will be a chance to meet his new wife, they are both in failing health and couldn't face the upheaval of moving in together, so I think it must be a financial arrangement, but whatever works for them!

DD arrived back safely yesterday from Italy, will pop over and see them this afternoon. Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning, Mick and all, from a cloudy North Lanarkshire where the sun is trying to make an appearance.

Home and garden day, catching up on washing and weeding after a lovely break in Skye.

DDiL sent lovely photos of DGS1 and DGD1 in their uniforms, back to school today!

Happy anniversary to the Dinosaurs, flowers,
Lovely photo, Susan, he's some boy!
Glad to hear Olddudders is more comfortable,
Happy new sofas, Grandmattie!
Scentia, so glad your family is all negative now, my sister's family is recovering but the elderly Papa, her FiL, is very poorly in hospital.
Harrigran, I hope you manage a wee siesta this afternoon.
Grandmabatty, I sympathise, I am finding it harder and harder to keep up with DGS2, he's a wee whirlwind too!
Marydoll, amo your Latin sentimentgrin!!

Sending love and prayers to all who need/wish them, especially for Phoenix , may she "go gently".???

Morning from dull but dryWest Yorks.Just having coffee and quiet read it is lull before the storm as all DGC here later. After expense of re furnishing lounge, decorator hopefully starts Mon (it has taken since early May to get this far) and furniture still not arriving till Sept.Over the past few weeks everything we touch has been faulty and needed replacing or temporary repair. As young newly weds we would joke after an extravagant purchase that the" bad fairy "would get us back and usually she did with car failing M.O.T ,mortgage rate increase,DH job at risk the usual financial stresses of life. We still now all these years later wait for the" bad fairy " but the stress now is finding suitable replacements./price.
Still tired out with constant cough, no temp and all tests have been negative.
Thoughts to all with illness and worry.
Hope Phoenix is pain-free and peaceful surrounded by those who love her.?

Grannmarie Wed 18-Aug-21 11:32:34

Rest in peace, Phoenix.???

Thank you, Marydoll.

Marydoll Mr Smith would be proud of you! I thank him every time I solve a tricky Times xword clue!
Grandmattie ditto with the cardi yday! I even had bed socks on last night , I was so cold. My family say I’ve turned into a Southern softie but I blame the hypothyroidism! Marydoll lives in my home town so I do pay attention to the daily weather report from her!
All quiet here as I was quite unwell at the weekend. I had a diverticulitis flare up. DH has never been at home when I've had one before- he was quite worried. Managed to speak to a doctor on Monday so now on antibiotics. Rest and hydration is the plan. Wish the sun would come back!
Thinking of all with health issues and worries. I don’t know Phoenix but it’s amazing the amount of love winging her way at this time.
Have a good day all!

Phoenix received each and every message sent with such heartfelt gratitude, laterally, when she was unable to read them herself, they were read out to her.

Little did she know how many hearts she would touch. As a close friend of Phoenix, one of a few of us who supported Phoenix through her illness, I know she would have wanted to convey how much every message meant so much to her.

Goodby dear friend ?
