Why I like Retirement

I like no one moaning at you as if they are paying your wages and controlling you but enjoy my retirement.

Plenty of time to do what I like, without caring who comes to visit me.

I'm amazed how I can spend so long doing so little

Yep no long travel,no idiot telling me what to do, no clock watching, no getting everything done at the weekend. Bliss.

No waking up during the night trying to formulate solutions to work related issues.

I sleep a solid 7 or 8 hours every night!

Been retired 14 years, love it, don’t get up to about 8 8.30 have breakfast. Chill, read or do some housework, go for a walk, go to our local cafe in oxlea woods for coffee or Shrewsbury house for lunch.
Meet up with a friend or DH and I go off somewhere for the day. Great life. Make the most of it.

Been retired 3 months now.
Can’t stand it any longer so taken on a new job

As a teenager in a horrible job with long hours all I could ever dream of was a safe warm home with a garden of my own and enough money not to have to go to work so I could look after my dog, eat, and go to bed whenever I felt like it.... Now I've got there I miss the energy I had back then but overall it's all it's great being retired, I'm even able to run an electric bike and an old camper van. Joy!

As said earlier, no 'sinking' feeling on a Sunday evening.

Nobody telling you what to do.
No time constraints, or very few.

Hearing the traffic announcements on the radio and knowing they don't affect me, especially on a Friday.

Snuggle down in bed while listening to my neighbour scrape the frost off his windscreen

Retirement or semi retirement is doing what I want to do without pressure, working 3 days which I enjoy, 4 days doing other stuff as I want, it’s lovely.

Dodging people on the high street that know everything and want to tell me aaaalll about it. (It's a game).

Nothing I have to do and plenty of time to not do it.

Knows everything and has plenty of time to tell you aaaaaall about it.
