Poor women. It looks like another relationship has gone terribly wrong.
I’ve always liked her and really hope she finds happiness one day.

On a wider note, ( & my sister is one ) why do some women think any man is better than no man?
I’m not suggesting KP thinks that, but plenty of women put up with such awful men, sometimes for their entire lives.

Ali08 Fri 27-Aug-21 08:23:46

I believe KP is as good a mother as any of us here!
No better, probably no worse...except that I feel sorry for 'Princess' (why they don't use her other name, Tiaami, is beyond me, but it would be preferable) as KP treats her like a mini-me. Thank god her dad has a big hand in his children's lives!!!
I think she doesn't so much have body dysmorphia as she's terrified of getting older!!
Unfortunately, all the surgery and skin treatments are really aging her. I personally think she looks terrible. The tan makes her look like she's rolled in something nasty for a start!!
The surgeons she goes to have told her she can't have any more full face lifts as there's just not enough facial skin left to stretch - so she went for one!!!
Her bust has been ridiculously huge, for attention!
She's bankrupt, lost her house 'Mucky Mansion', a friend bought it and rented it out to her but I think I heard she's bought it again? How? She's in so much debt, how can she afford it?
She goes abroad for surgery because it's cheaper there, including airfare and hotels, than it is with reputable surgeons over here!!
At least this current fiancé has sense and backed out of some surgery SHE had wanted HIM to have!!!
He's a nobody, was he a plumber or something when they met? He idolised her when he was a teenager, had her posters in his bedroom. Now he's bought her a £50,000 engagement ring - I bet she paid for most of that!!
I think she needs to take a few steps back and take a look at her life. At herself!
She used to be such a beauty.
Then she just HAD so much money she began destroying herself!!!
Oh, don't forget the animals - local breeders refuse to let her have anymore pets from them because they're not safe around her!!!

Aveline Thu 26-Aug-21 12:09:56

And she's got herself in the public eye again so she'll be happy. Miaouw!

Galaxy Thu 26-Aug-21 11:37:42

Yes I agree completely Jane. I avoid if possible commenting on Harvey although I probably have been known to comment on his father sad

annsixty Thu 26-Aug-21 11:18:25

She is now back working and he is walking the family dog.
No charges to be brought.
I don’t think she needs advice from anyone, she would certainly ignore it.

JaneJudge Thu 26-Aug-21 11:03:59

Yes sorry, I've got the wrong end of the stick. I think I am irritated that people talk as if Harvey has no control over his choices, not terribly on Gransnet to be fair, but his Mum comes in for a lot of judgement regarding her choices for Harvey without people on the internet acknowledging he is allowed to make his own decisions and that will be supported by professionals involved in his care and education. People forget people with learning disabilities are human beings.

Domestic violence is taken very seriously nowadays thank goodness. I suppose it will help that the two other Fathers are already involved in the children's care.

Galaxy Thu 26-Aug-21 10:44:45

Yes but it would probably need to be a seperate referral by the police for the younger children I think. If the alleged assailant is no longer in the house it may be resolved but I do think those children deserve the same referral system as anyone else. I am not commenting either way on her parenting just the system that needs to be in place with regard to alleged domestic violence.
Obviously we dont know what happened so it is all speculation.

FannyCornforth Thu 26-Aug-21 10:44:31

To, not too

FannyCornforth Thu 26-Aug-21 10:44:15

Oh, I agree tickingbird and Galaxy.

I’m not at all convinced that much of what she does is in the children’s best interests (an understatement). Although her relationship with Harvey seems astonishingly in its depth of love.

I’ve not actually commented on her maternal skills up until now, as I’m not really qualified too; I’m more interested in her being, well, interesting smile

JaneJudge Thu 26-Aug-21 10:38:18

Harvey is an adult so social care would be involved anyway. From what I have seen of him, he has some capacity to make his own decisions too and that includes whether he lives in his own home across the road from his Mum, taking a taxi to college, choosing which college he goes to.

Galaxy Thu 26-Aug-21 10:33:41

I dont necessarily think she's a good mother but then I dont think I am a good mother sometimes. However I think the children should be the priority and if there was domestic violence social care need to be involved as they would be in any other case. I think she is very damaged and of course that can impact on parenting.

tickingbird Thu 26-Aug-21 10:30:23

I know that Fanny but to describe her as a best selling author is a bit much. I have nothing against the woman but I find it irksome that she’s constantly put forward as some marvellous mother when I don’t believe she is. I think she’s very clever and media savvy but I find it hard to believe people don’t see through it.

I won’t say anymore on the subject now smile

FannyCornforth Thu 26-Aug-21 10:24:58

tickingbird Price was always upfront that she had a ghost writer. It wasn’t a secret to her readers, so they weren’t the naive ones.
Rebecca Farnworth wrote all of her books, up until her sad death in 2014

tickingbird Thu 26-Aug-21 10:19:00

“Best selling author” I find it unbelievable how naive people are. No wonder these so called celebs rake it in!

FannyCornforth Thu 26-Aug-21 10:08:18

Hi Jacky the holidays are paid for by the cosmetic surgery people that she promotes by having various ops.
It’s all photo shoot, Instagram fodder

Jaxjacky Thu 26-Aug-21 10:02:01

Obviously I don’t understand the ins and outs, but how come someone who’s been declared bankrupt and owes, allegedly £3M, can still take so many expensive holidays?
So, to answer the OP, I’d say cut back on your lifestyle and face the music.

Blossoming Thu 26-Aug-21 09:57:16

This thread has encouraged me to find out more about KP. In addition to her modelling and media careers KP is also a best selling author and campaigner for disabled rights. She has designed and sold clothing, cosmetics and nutrition supplements. She certainly works hard, not just sitting around on her backside waiting for the money to roll in.

FannyCornforth Thu 26-Aug-21 09:48:24

Oh ann that’s so sad.
I know that you weren’t directing anything at me, but I was worried that others might think that I was implicated.
(Some people don’t need any encouragement to think odd things about me!)
I do understand how you feel about the site, I came to it at just the right time last year.
The past few months have been a bit of a nightmare to be honest, and so many people here have given me so much support and friendship, and it’s also been a marvellous distraction.
Perhaps we need a few more new, long running threads.
My impression is that sometimes people want to present a facade. I’ve noticed that trying to ‘out nice’ each other has become a bit of a trend.
I hope that op doesn’t mind us hijacking this thread! I honestly don’t think that they would mind!
Please keep posting Ann. Here or elsewhere. Posts only get deleted if someone reports them, and I can’t see anyone being that mean

annsixty Thu 26-Aug-21 09:27:56

Fanny please be assured that my post was in no way directed at you and that fact is true.
It was a general comment on the way things are going on GN.
I realise I should not have pointed to another thread, apart from being wrong it is against GN guidelines.
I am really upset over all this, I am 84 and for several years GN has been a lifesaver for me, I have experienced health problems and the slow descent into dementia and then death of my dear husband.
I could moan, unload etc on here.
I know many others have been similarly helped through awful situations.
The fact that others may not feel they can get the same help saddens me.
GN has always been a happy and mutually helpful site from illness to pets to household and marital problems.
Just the mere thought that it will not be there fills me with horror.

Lincslass Thu 26-Aug-21 09:12:05

Poor woman. Perhaps time on her own, concentrate on herself and the children, no man in your life is better than a bad one. Hope she’ll be ok.

FannyCornforth Thu 26-Aug-21 09:02:28

annsixty

Good morning thread today is a prime example of my thoughts.

Hello ann
I’m sorry that you’re upset about what’s going on elsewhere on the site.
I am aware of what’s being going on, and I wanted to make clear that it’s got nothing to do with me.
It’s a bit odd that you bought it up in reference to my comments on here.
I always try to bring something to smile about into the equation. So I’m a bit perplexed.
Like I said though, annI can understand why you are disappointed by recent events.
I am too flowers

Kandinsky Thu 26-Aug-21 08:57:56

As a member of mumsnet for years, I learnt that some people really could start an argument about anything. It’s a social media thing. It’s an outlet for many frustrations.
Gransnet is still very tame compared to most forums.

FannyCornforth Thu 26-Aug-21 08:50:24

Good grief!
I didn’t realise that I’d cause such offence. I was merely saying that I acknowledged that it was an old photo when I posted it; and actually its age is irrelevant to the conversation.

The fact that you can’t put finger to keyboard without someone reading goodness knows what into what you say gets on my particular goat!
My previous posts were neither patronising or sarcastic.
I am not a sarcastic person. I wear my heart, thoughts and opinions on my sleeve.

However, I am sorry if I upset anyone, it certainly wasn’t my intention

annsixty Thu 26-Aug-21 08:37:34

Good morning thread today is a prime example of my thoughts.

annsixty Thu 26-Aug-21 08:26:21

I know, I know, I know, the last 18 months has taken a toll on all of us, we are stressed, frustrated and weary.
Please think before you post, if you can’t say anything nice, say nothing.
This snippyness is the reason people are leaving GN daily.
If we aren’t careful this attitude will stay with us.
I am very upset by the fact that even the kindest and caring of us occasionally comes back with an unkind resort.
This is spreading throughout all the threads.
May normality soon return for us all.

fatgran57 Thu 26-Aug-21 08:13:10

Now now girls - play nicely or the thread will be removed!
