Morning Mick, morning All from a bright corner of Somerset.

Not been able to get here for a while so very behind with everyone’s news. Laundry and general faffing for me today to take advantage of the decent weather and avoid busy roads.

Take care everyone. Hope Saturday is kind to us all.

Good morning from a brightening Colchester. Weather is set fair for the weekend.

Packing to visit family in Derbyshire for a couple of days.

A big sterile hug for Scentia and all of us x

Good Morning everyone from the Cotswolds and welcome Rosycheeks.

It’s dry and cloudy and we are off out for breakfast later. After that will be mooching for something to do with my shed and seeing some of the countryside.
Fingers crossed your DH stays clear Scentia and Ash with your wine ?

Have a good day all ?

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is promised to be a sunny day☀️
As I am stuck in this bedroom I won’t see it. My DH is still testing negative do I am isolating in the flare to to try to protect him, he has a heart condition snd o worry terribly if he was to get it. Myself, I feel fine. I have a headache and I am coughing a little bit but I don’t feel poorly.
I am a bit stiff from laying in bed all day yesterday so today I will do a little yoga (scentia style?) if I get time??
I read a whole book yesterday.
Welcome Rosycheeks this is a lovely thread.
Thinking about Marydoll and hoping she is ok.
I may sneak downstairs before DH gets up and see the Guineas but I must make sure I sanitize anything I touch.
I will be so proud if we manage to keep him clear of this horrible virus.

Good morning, everyone, from a bright and dry Sarthe.
Welcome to Rosycheeks!

Thank you for all the positive responses to my post yesterday which reflect the supportive interest many of you have shown in our situation over several months. I was pleasantly surprised to be offered a cooked breakfast yesterday by olddudders, a rare treat for us both.

It set us up for a trip to the local Intermarché, where I was delighted to find an outfit relating to ballet for my DGD, which I shall save for her ninth birthday in a couple of months. It is still mandatory to wear masks in all shops and people adhere to this requirement. We stocked up on wine in anticipation of finishing with the meds we are both currently taking which proscribe alcohol!

Later, the lawn tractor was returned from being repaired so DH has an incentive to recover, knowing one of his toys awaits being tried!!

I hope you find some joy in whatever you have planned and I trust Scentia is on the recovery path. Take care, everyone and happy weekend!

Good morning from a grey E Kent l. “They” say that this summer has been the hottest, I know better. Apart from a warm week in June, we have barely reached 20C for most of the summer. Today will be no different.
Welcome Rosycheeks, this is normally a lovely, kind, welcoming and supportive thread. There have been hiccups recently, but we are all working very hard to restore the lovely ethos.
Same old, same old today. Oh, our town has gone back to its normal Bank Holiday weekend festival. They do them very well here, full of bands and food and all sorts. We normally get lots of visitors and it is full of life! So lively after the dismal times we have had.
I hope that today id full of relief and kindness to all especially our missing posters. ???☀️?

Goodmorning Mick. Im new to this thread but just wanted to join in. Well its a bit grey this morning in Hertfordshire but hoping to get some washing on the line later. Had my lovely old clio serviced and mot this week which passed hurrah, I always get very nervous when my car gets its mot because I could not get a new car if it fails. My car is 19 years old and as I passed my test (3rd time), on my 50th birthday, its the only car I have owned. Why I mention this is my garage man picks up the car and brings it back. I hadnt been in the car for 2 days when my DH went out yesterday and found that the car was unlocked, my garage man forgot to lock it! I feel really lucky it wasnt stolen as with live on a busy road phew! Any way we have been decorating and today im putting the house back together, why is it decorating affects every room?!.
So hello everybody and have a lovely day to you all.

Good morning Mick and all to follow from cloudy West Berkshire.

A trip to Birmingham yesterday to see another lorry with my husband was more fruitful than the trip to North Wales earlier in the week .
Stopped for a coffee in a beautiful coffee shop in the Cotswolds on the way back and chatted to the most delightful owner .

Housework this morning followed by football on the radio and my usual manicure and pedicure.
A glass of red wine ? and a film on the TV tonight to round the day off .

Happy Saturday to you all .

Good Morning Everyone,
Its a dry but grey start here in brackley this morning.
Hoping my bus trips go to plan as I am aiming on Buckingham first, and then go to Bicester with a return to Buckingham to have lunch and then browse the flea market before coming home to watch the Vuelta unfold on TV .
I only hope the Buckingham bus link keeps to time and not causing delays .
Take Care,
Mick
