Ginster I have buddha envy I have a collection of them it started with one from my late Aunt which from a small child had always admired.

Good morning from a cloudy murky Morecambe Bay.
Yesterday’s trip to the farm park didn’t go to plan at all. Poor GD slipped on the kitchen floor and split her forehead open as she came to rest against the corner of the cupboard. Mum and dad took her to A and E while we waited in the hope she might want to go to the farm on her return. However she was detained in A and E as she started vomiting poor thing. They eventually returned and little GD was fine bouncing around. Poor dad though got stung by a wasp then dropped his phone down the toilet!

Good morning Mick and all his followers. Our bit of Suffolk is sunny too Ginster! I’m glad your memorial was a success. I fancy a trip to the coast before the weather turns - Dunwich perhaps?
We did quite a bit in the garden yesterday, mostly weeding and a bit of planting, then Harvest Festival, then trouser shortening ready for DGS’s school today. Dropped them off, walked DD’s dog and finally sat down in the garden with a Manhattan as it turned dark. It was a lovely evening which hasn’t happened often this year. More gardening today and more trousers to shorten. I must order more name tapes too - I have had to take them out of last year’s uniforms.
I shall be thinking of Phoenix and her family today and feeling grateful for my health.
I hope the day is kind to everyone.

Good morning from a sunny Oxfordshire, gelisajams how awful, poor little thing and poor family! Hope she won’t be too sore today, a bag of rice should sort out a wet phone, maybe.
Housework this morning then out in the sunshine, too many grey days recently to spend much time indoors, this might be the Summers Swan Song.

Good morning Mick and the GM team from sunny (yes sunny) east London.
Lovely to hear about everyone’s trips and meals out and family visits. The pleasant weather really has a positive impact.
I note lots of reading in the garden ... I might do that today.

We have switched our grocery delivery to another supermarket and it’s our first one this morning... hope it works out ok.

Lovely dinner in a Michelin starred restaurant last night. So nice to see people relaxing and having fun.

Back to switching energy suppliers today ...

Good morning from a sunny Essex by the sea.

Well today is the day. We are going away for the night on the boat. I am a little apprehensive but it is the only time we will use it this year and I know DH is looking forward to getting out on the water.

One granddaughter started back to school last Thursday, two go back today and another tomorrow. I'm sure there will be nerves but hopefully this school year will be totally different to the last one.

I won't be around tomorrow morning but will check in again on Wednesday.

Enjoy the sun today and make the most of the Indian summer xxx

Good morning all , it has rained in the night and is still dull , hopefully it will brighten up , the washing is churning away and I like to hang it out . I like to hang my unmentionables on the inside of the rotary drier with larger (?) items on the outer lines to hide them , DD1 thinks this is amusing , but her garments don’t take up as much space !
I hope our missing posters are soon back with us ?

Good morning Mick and all. It’s a cloudy day here in Lancashire, where it was raining earlier. The sun is peeking out now.Temperature currently 16 ° C.

I noticed when getting dressed this morning that the lockdown belly is receding! I’ve regained my waist and can once again pull my jeans on without unfastening them Housework is the plan for today.

Good morning, Mick and everyone from grey damp Carlisle where it has evidently rained in the night.
Today is the usual laundry and housework day though I am hoping to be interrupted by a call from the dentist to have my crown put back in. I must also catch up with my boring admin.
The small picture I put up with the velcro strips is still there. You are supposed to remove it temporarily once in place and go through an adhesive maturing procedure. Well, I couldn't shift it, stuck like a limpet to a rock! Now for something bigger...The firm cover themselves by warning you not to hang anything over your bed so nothing's guaranteed.
Not a fun day, Gelisajams. I bet Dad thought he'd suffered most, wasp stings are painful and dropping your phone down the toilet a potential tragedy!
The best possible day to all.

Morning from a wet day in East Renfrewshire. After a lovely family lunch and a’sleepover’ at DDs, I’m sorting through a huge pile of books and toys the grandchildren have outgrown. Most of them are in good condition and will go to the refugee charity DD is involved with. I hope they help and give pleasure to the children.

Lunch later with two grannies I have become friendly with over the years at the school gates and then after school childminding duties from 3 till 6 o’clock.

Home then and relax!

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers Lancashire coast. Cloudy, but lots of washing to hang out, two beds having been stripped for visitors tomorrow.
DD left at crack of sparrows this morning to go to a party today in the south. She arrived in a hired van last night to store her furniture until she moves into her new flat in the south later in the month . This rushing up and down the motorways worries me.
We ate rather late and I left the pasta in water in the hot trolley when I should have drained it, thinking that might dry it out, not knowing her arrival. It was a bit soggy. My cooking skills are down the pan?now widowed and hardly cooking for myself.
Today I shall practise my songs for the music club tomorrow and get some rest as it seems all go at the mo.

Old Rod is doing the rounds- at the weekend a friend and her husband were dining at the Savoy in London ( finally enjoying a much delayed - for obv reasons- pressie from last Christmas) and in walked Rodders, very casually.

I think that was the best part of their meal tbh, from all acoounts!

Good morning from a bright, warm North of Scotland.
Washing already line dried in the sun and folded.
Had a cup of coffee quietly to think about the lovely phoenix.

We have a very particular visitor arriving at the weekend for two weeks. Particularly tidy, particularly clean and particular about the menu. The relative meal plans at home and knows what she’ll eat for each meal on each day, whereas I buy what I think we’ll need/enjoy but change how it is prepared depending on my mood or the weather eg salmon mayo, new potatoes and salad if the weather is warm but oven baked salmon, veg and potato wedges if it is cold and wet and we want comfort food. I thought everyone did this but apparently not. So in the interests of harmony and giving a warm welcome I have made up a spreadsheet, menu and shopping list for the next two weeks. The weather forecast looks fine and fortunately everywhere is open so we will have a lovely time.

A late good morning from sunny spells Durham.

A quiet day until GC are collected from school. May take them to the Play park before returning home for tea. We're having to adjust to our new routine now youngest GC at school. 7 plus years of childcare behind us with much of that time taking care of 3 under fives at one time. Wonder now how we did it? Must admit DH has been amazing and we wouldn't have had so many memories of parks, castles, river banks, forests and beaches without his input and imagination. Considering he is actually step GD makes him even more precious to me and them.
