Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, but its dry outside this morning in brackley .
Today , my usual Bicester only bus trip , with coffee and snack at a bakery cafe and small shop after .
Yesterday became interesting finding I had lost Eurosport all together , I got onto BT and have changed my contract to Big Sport and Freeview channels , plus sorted out other issues with them .
Hopefully I can now watch my cycling on TV .
Take Care,
Mick

Where’s my post? Himself got me all mixed up and I’ve lost my post.

Good morning everyone the sun is blazing here on the east coast of Fife. Thankfully my back pain is much much better this morning.

Good morning everyone from a glorious sunny Malaga. ??
We walked into Torremolinos yesterday and we’ve just decided over breakfast to walk in the other direction today - past Parque de Paloma and lunch at our favourite bar on Palm Tree Avenue where we always share a delicious tuna and avocado salad. Walk + a salad = fantastic. Shame I like my wine with it!

Today is my stepfather’s brother’s birthday. He is 96y young today and still self caring in his lovely house in Edgbaston! I shall give him a ring later. He’s always so cheery it will be a pleasure to chat.

Welcome back GG13 after your holiday! What a lovely compliment BlueSapphire bet it gave you an extra boost yesterday! Glad to hear your husband seems to have turned a corner now Ashcombe. Back pain in spasm is agony for the sufferer. Chronic pain really pulls them down.

Hope all who can enjoy today. x

Morning from S Lanarkshire, as baubles said, lots of sunshine promised.
After bad sleep the night before, I went to bed saying ‘Please God let it be morning when I wake up’ and lo, it was!

A successful visit to the dentist yesterday and he suggested that I change to an electric tooth brush. He says it will make quite a difference so as he’s not on commission, I’ll take his advice!

Chiropodist this afternoon, eyes last week, teeth and toes this week, talk about a new woman?! Then an outing to a show in our local theatre/hall with a pre theatre meal first. First U3A group since before the pandemic so it feels quite an adventure.

Of course remembering all who are struggling today and wishing everyone a good day ???

Nannytopsy Thu 16-Sept-21 09:17:51

Good morning Mick and all his followers. Light grey skies in Suffolk this morning. It was the the first post lockdown garden club last night and DH was the speaker. It went well and there was a good turnout.
First job is to fetch the cat from the cattery then it’s the village coffee morning so I should be moving.
I hope the day is kind to everyone.

Good morning from Durham on what promises to be a glorious day. We’ve had a miserable week here - DD1, SiL2 and I have all been struck down by ‘flu(?). Really laid low, but tested negative which was a big surprise, as we’ve all the symptoms. DGS is 4 today but celebrations are on hold ‘til we feel better. Hopefully we are past the worst and on the mend.
Wishing everyone a good day.

Good Morning from the sunny Scottish Borders.

Dragonfly your plans sound great fun. I wish I lived nearer!

Not much planned today apart from someone is coming to view my little granny flat which is almost ready to let out again.
There are new rules about smoke alarms etc so the electrician needs to finish off before anyone can move in.

Sorry to hear Harrigran that we are back to the dark ages as far as medical procedures go. flowers

grandMattie flowers ((hugs))

Good morning Mick and all. It’s another sunny day here in Lancashire, definitely feeling more Autumnal. Temperature currently 15°C.

Today I will clear those last 2 cupboards, and hopefully go for a sort walk.

Welcome to any new posters. Best wishes to anyone celebrating and virtual hugs to anybody suffering. Wishing a safe journey to anybody traveling.

Have the best day possible.

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest Lancashire coast. Hope you get your tv sports sorted out Mick.
Off for coffee with friend soon and will take some of my plums to her. Kept up late by DS, an owl not a lark, watching Gogglebox catch ups and battling each other in University Challenge, although I can’t stand Jeremy Paxman. Cant say anything against him now as I think he’s been diagnosed with Parkinson’s (?) poor man. Big decision today, whether to put my makeup on and contacts or specs and just lippie.
Hope your back is ok Elizabeth1 from a fellow sufferer and thoughts to grandMattie My heart goes out to you.

Good Morning all from sunny Llandudno
Well, Bodnant was beautiful, if only I could sent a photo - laptop being particularly awkward right now, it only has photos from 3 years ago accessible!!!! Today my intention had been to take DH on a heritage train as part of his birthday present, but he wanted to make sure the day was right!! Today is right and they are all fully booked, Grrr!
Originally was going to go on the Snowdon train, but it was too something, then the Portmadoc to Ffestiniog, again there was a too. I believe we are going on an ordinary train to Chester, but he might find it's too hot, too cold, too early, too late, too big, too small - he is sooooo hard to please!!!Hope your cold gets better soon Scentia, I'm having various 'little symptoms' and wonder if it's long covid?
Ashcombe do you know what's causing Olddudders pain yet?
Hope your days get easier Grandmattie - missing you Marydoll
Have the best day you can folks

Blossoming Thu 16-Sept-21 10:03:01

Good news that olddudders is in less pain and you can both get a better night’s sleep Ashcombe

Harrigran I also had my BP check yesterday, my surgery doesn’t take blood samples but they do organise it. Blood clinics here have been by appointment only since the first lockdown. I was given a form and told to make an appointment mid-October but no reason given.

I’m glad you’re getting out Cornergran. Glad you enjoyed your holidays GG13 and JaxJacky

Good morning all,

A cloudy but bright start to the day today. Going out shortly for the day, taking a picnic lunch with us.

Haven’t read the posts yet, but hope everyone is ok.

Annapops Thu 16-Sept-21 10:37:01

Good morning from sunny Durham and fingers crossed it stays like this for a little longer.

Yesterday was mammogram check at the hospital. Forgot just how uncomfortable they are....no, this one was painful! However all worth it for the few seconds of discomfort.

Today I will whizz round the house like some crazy person as we are going on a short break to the Lakes tomorrow. A lodge with a hot tub for a break before the dark winter days set in. I needed a new toweling dressing gown to take with me. Wandered around all the usual shops yesterday but couldn't find one anywhere. When I got home I had to resort to online shopping where I just had to include two Joe Brown's tunics too. Turned out to be an expensive day as GS2's birthday gift added to the cost, however he's more than worth it. 12 years old at the weekend and he's chosen to go to Zen for his birthday meal, how grown up!

Wishing those feeling low today some sun to make them smile. Have the best day you can everyone.

Dogsmakemesmile Thu 16-Sept-21 10:45:21

Good morning .Beautiful day here in the Scottish Borders. Bread rolls and broccoli soup made. Pasta sauce too for tea. Woman's Hour and ddog keeping me company. Looked into moving to new build house. Ticked a lot of boxes (three bathrooms!) but both dh and I decided it was not the right move. We love this house. It felt like home on our first viewing. Coffee time soon. Thinking of Grand mattie. Best wishes to everyone .

DJGD Thu 16-Sept-21 10:51:22

Hello all, am new member, good to meet you. I'm currently sort of self isolating, I say sort of, cos Govt guidelines say that as I have had jabs I don't need to but common sense tells me to err on side of caution and play safe, so am keeping to house as much as poss. That said, my friend S who was exposed via her cleaner is 86, has no family etc so I am walking her dog etc and later taking her for pcr test, fingers crossed. She's not feeling great, has ver upset tummy but nothing else as yet, watch this space. Currently trying to work up enthusiasm to clean down gazebo covers, and bath my dog! Sun is shining here so all good. Have a grt day all.

EkwaNimitee Thu 16-Sept-21 10:52:11

Good morning Mick and everyone from Carlisle where we have another warm sunny day.
I have returned from a tooth pulling at the dentist. I have been dreading it but the technology of tooth extraction and local anaesthesia seem to have improved greatly since my last extraction decades ago. It was over in a trice and she had no tooth to get hold of externally. No knee on the chest as DS2 cheerfully suggested. Now I'm waiting for the numbing to wear off and praying I won't develop a dry socket overnight. That is complete agony.
You've started the 'flu season early, Georgesgran, hopefully you will all feel much better soon.
My dentist told me to rest for the remainder of the day. I have no problem with that! Though I think I'd be pottering in the garden otherwise on such a pleasant day.
A good sunny day to you all.
