The kettle will remain on Grandmafrench. There's plenty of decaf Earl Grey and G+T.
Hope your daughter is back home soon with you and Billy Hellogirl.
Well done to your DD annsixty.

Soop`s cosy kitchen for sincere and pleasant peoples
(1001 Posts)Well, this kitchen is lovely, I love the cool decor and colourful rugs.
I think I should have typed www.westwoodlakes.co.uk as the other doesn`t seem to work.
Good grief - I leave you for 48 hours and there are pages of posts! No chance of responding to them but TOYA.
Muse DH finds the Doppler very painful as the probe is put into the ulcer itself. Maybe don’t tell Mr M? We have two kinds of antibiotics here for a very infected leg.
Painter tells me he will be finished tomorrow. “What about the doors ?” I ask. “I didn’t think you wanted them doing”.
I ask you! Why paint the walls, ceiling, skirting and door frames and leave 13 doors unpainted? He will be coming back - at some point …
Sleep well everyone ?
Haha muse yes I do remember
Thank you Nannytopsy.?I'll not tell MrM. He does take painkillers before the dressing change so I'll get them ready tomorrow ! The ulcer is less painful these days but it's not healing. He's had one lot of antibiotics. My mother had an expression for anyone who said "I didn't think ...". With her very stern face on she'd reply: "Well you know what thought did". Hope he comes back very soon to finish.
DD heard yesterday that her claim for child maintenance has been agreed by CMS. Today she's been told her ex is appealing against the decision. Not a word I'd use to describe him ?.
Christmas pud mix has had it's overnight soak. Today they get cooked. Another batch on it's way for the Argy Christmas Reunion Doodle.
?for you all.
That’s brilliant cornergran and why not !! I can just picture you and MrC perched high on broomsticks and flying through the air leaving a sprinkling of magic dust behind. The tour does sound really good such a memorable experience.
Good that your DGDs and family have seen it too Doodle it sounds like a real treat for Harry Potter fans of all ages!
A warm welcome to the kitchen, Aldom
Hellogirl1 I also wish that your daughter return home to you with a mighty big
on her face.
I do wish You lovely lot would take an almighty big breather. I am stumped as I have no idea where to begin responding to all the messages.
As per, Grandmafrench has made an almighty big effort to do just that. Well done, you.
I am about to sketch a certain pussy cat. Will you all please talk among yourselves while I do so? Thank you so much.

Good afternoon dear Kitcheners, I am not very well today after a rotten night of coughing and vomiting, lovely! I’ve had an itchy scratchy throat for a few days and it’s wearing me out. A PCR test kit is on it’s way to me, I don’t think it’s Covid but you never know. I’m going for a lie down now, TOYA
Afternoon to you all.Wet and windy here and lots of roads flooded overnight.
I have managed to change my hip surgery and looks like it will be in February.I’m very happy as now can enjoy our celebrations and Christmas holiday.?Knee surgery will be about 6 to 8 months later all being well! Good old NHS.
Picture of my boots to go with outfit for a wedding next week.I think they will be fine, not made for walking but great for sitting.
Stay safe and enjoy your evening Kitcheners.
Good Afternoon dear kitcheners - very changeable weather atm isn't it?? But a definite autumnal nip in the air. Love the pumpkin GrandmaBatty - how talented you are ?. Blossoming take care and feel better soon - there seems to be a particularly nasty form of the cold virus doing the rounds ? TOYA enjoy the rest of Tuesday
Yiayia those boots are made for partying, they are so pretty.
Coffee out today with a friend, we sorted the political parties out, purely to our own satisfaction.
We managed to get out in relatively dry and calm weather but it has deteriorated since then, very windy and wild, glad I am in now.
Haircut at home tomorrow and the cleaner comes, like our political conclusions she does things to her own satisfaction.
After 10 years of a really good one it is rather frustrating..
My GD is starting a cold, I hope it is not one of these bad ones which last, I shall keep my distance.
I had missed that your D was back in hospital Hellogirl I hope she is soon home, for your sake as well as hers.
Hospital visiting is tiring.
Best wishes to all under the weather today, have the best evening you can.
That’s a good looking pumpkin grandmabatty well done you talented lady ?
Just back from DD2 house after having chocolate birthday cake with DGS who’s 8 today. As it’s a school night and he’s got his Beavers club tonight we’re all celebrating with a family meal out on Friday so I’m looking forward to that too
Those boots are just perfect Yia I remember the picture you posted of your dress and jacket and I think you’ll look really stunning for the wedding next week
Hope you feel better soon Blossoming and anyone else feeling poorly, take care all
I think I’ve also missed some of the updates about your DD Hellogirl I’m sorry to hear she’s in hospital and I hope she’s feeling better soon
Yia The boots are PERFECT! Wow! Us lot would like to see a photo in all your finery.
brook Happy birthday to your grandson. Chocolate cake and a celebration meal on Friday. That sounds like a mighty fine plan.
annsixty
we two sort the political parties out on a daily basis. Sad thing is, nothing changes for the better.
Grandmabatty The pumpkin is a work of art. Good enough to be on display in a modern art gallery.
Blossoming You need plenty of rest. If in doubt, contact your GP.
BladeAnnie Arty farty hat ready and waiting.
I'm away for today. It has been a sunshiny day. The breeze is on the cool side. I shall hunt the hot water bottle within the next week or so.
My very best wishes to all you special peoples. Until we meet again.

Yia I LOVE those boots!! Wow - you will look amazing. Soop ? you dear lady.
Hello the Kitchen ?
I know what you mean, soop and NannyT - these newsy pages are just flashing by. Hellogirl opened up the last Kitchen on Friday 17 September. It's only the 5th October and we have reached page 27 already. It's totally wonderful that soop's gang are together, increasing, and having such a good time.
I'm not even attempting to be Class Monitor, soop but I'm actually too terrified to stop posting because I know it'll take me days to catch up!!!! ? What to do? Actually I only rabbit on because I want to talk to each and everyone, just like we were all together.
Tonight I shall simply say that I love your boots, Yia, I'm sad. you're poorly Blossoming. Hope you are asleep and healing and not reading this nonsense! ? Ann, I've put the world to rights today and I've been RANTING at my Son about that Johnson fool......and I don't even live in the UK. Wonder why he feels that the Class Clown is a good image for the leader of a Government? NannyT your painter is clearly mad. There's a lot of it about, unfortunately. Muse - I will be around for Earl Grey one day - that's more of a threat, possibly? Meanwhile, your DD's ex is sounding less enchanting day on day. His free ride has come to an end and he's obviously in a sulk about it all. Aaah, shame! ?
Today has honestly been one of those really irritating ones. Life's stupid things which normally one would just dismiss with a look, have conspired to make me wish I'd stayed in bed.
Nobody has 'phoned back about some tree felling, ditto about the installation of a new cooker hood. One of the pool skimmers has stopped working - worried that it might be blocked with the long 'hairs' of Mr Wiggy, my wonderful shrub which has been throwing seeds out left right and centre recently. Wondering whether to own up to DH! The 'foot' has come off our large pedal bin, but DH repaired it. Received letter from Carriers who have managed to damage a huge speaker belonging to our Son which they transported to the UK a month ago. Wonder why they are writing to us, we're not the clients. Their fascinating letter tells us that they can't deal with our claim because we have used insubstantial packaging! They state further that they haven't seen the packaging, nor the speaker (our Son has sent them photographs of both) and also they're aware that the recipient has saved the packaging and they need to see it!?! (I feel a large G&T coming on and it's not even lunchtime.) I mail a copy of the idiotic letter to England - let someone else become confused.com., and take up the battle against the fixed French rule that 'the customer is always to blame - for everything'. That's their default setting!
We wanted to ride our bikes into the village but it looked like rain - but it didn't. We wanted to send something recorded delivery, so parked at the Post Office to find that it only opens afternoons 2 - 4.30pm on Tuesdays. We were there and reading this information at 3.55 but it was already closed. Grrrrrrr! We were using a trailer and loaning our bikes to a friend and we had to access a very narrow street which was partially blocked by a huge pantechnicon. Enormous struggle to get past it. New people have bought the lovely Art Deco house belonging to a dear little lady who often used to talk to me when she sat out in the sun in a chair on the pavement. She passed away a couple of years ago. Today looks like moving in day? Nice surprise - English removal company, so another English family taking up a new life here. Cheeriest thing I've seen today and so to continue the mood, decided a delicious cake might be just the thing. We stopped at the bakers and bought some and were able to meet their new Staffie; a 3 month old boy pup called Sharky. I understood why when I picked him up : when little pups are teething their teeth are just like razor blades.
I do hope that everyone has had - in the main - an entertaining, productive and happy day. Mine must be better tomorrow and I shall get out of bed with that plan in mind.
Until tomorrow, enjoy the rest of the evening, dear ladies. Keep warm, cheerful and stay well.
Hugs and best wishes from me and my bit of France! ?
A very windy afternoon, not me, the weather!
Those boots look so petite and pretty Yia what an inspired choice, your outfit is complete.
Pumpkin is very clever Grandmabatty and unique, finished perfectly.
Oh blossoming you sound rough, I really hope your PCR is negative, all these other bugs let leash after some months of us all being constrained, take care of yourself.
A quiet day here, farm shop, bought some violas for the window boxes and hanging baskets, I prefer them to pansies. Thursday will be planting and finishing the garden tidying, greenhouse is still producing, ironically I was watering in there when it was tipping down outside
Enjoy your evening all x
Oh ! I love those boots Yia - they will look great with a posh outfit.
Grandmafrench have just read your post. What an eventful day ! Lots of irritations but lovely things too. A new English family and a meeting with a puppy can't be bad.
Annsixty my GS has a rotten cold made even more so because he has been off school waiting for the result of a Covid test which we are all sure will be negative but can't take the chance. Some Covid cases in his primary school.
Enjoy what's left of the evening everyone.
‘Evening All’.
I’m cosy, full and content. Life’s good. My stepfather is much better today and he’s been resting up, doing the jigsaw I bought him for his birthday. A 1,000 piece Lowry ‘Going to Work’ where Lowry chose to depict a crowd of workers flowing into a factory at the Mather & Platt engineering works in Manchester. My stepfather worked there, back in the day. He was much delighted with his present, bless.
Hi Doodle ?
Those boots are soooo pretty, Yia! Enjoy wearing them.
Blossoming, get well soon.
Still no baby here. Apparently GD woke at 4am, which is v unusual for her as she’s a good sleeper, and wanted stories and general entertainment, so dd says she is too tired to have a baby today.
I’m probably going down to amuse her tomorrow, assuming nothing happens overnight.
Heavy rain here today. I went out to the post office. If I’d realised just how heavy it was, I might have stayed at home! ☔️ I did a bit of sorting out and throwing away, which always gladdens my soul.
I’ve ordered some yarn and a pattern to make a long cardigan for dd1, at her request. Need to finish off the baby jumper I’m doing right now.
Wishing you a peaceful evening. X
I can feel your excitement SueDonim!
?
Not long now ...
Evening everyone, haven't been on for a couple of days as looking after my grandaughter. Heavy, heavy rain here but sunshine forecast for tomorrow. Apologies have not read two days of posts so I can't say anything specific bar it is lovely to be here and lovely to know the kitcheners were waiting.
Blossoming
Yes, thinking of you all ?
Thank you
Thank you for your welcome message Soop
It’s lovely in here isn’t it Aldom?
