Goodness a busy kitchen. I’ve been missing for a couple of days with knee-down-in-the-dumps-itis. Don’t worry it’s not contagious, just me fretting about nothing I’m sure. This recovery lark does seem such very hard work though.

Goodness syn what a lot going on at the same time. It was bad enough with two very pleasant carpenters fitting doors here a couple of weeks ago. Harrigran’s situation makes my blood boil. It’s wrong on so many levels. .

Feel better soon wishes to Mr Soop, that sounds quite a reaction. I know you’ll speedily summon help if he doesn’t recover quickly soop. Wishing you both a peaceful night.

My apologies, I cannot recall everyone’s posts. Memory not provided it seems. I know someone is off on a holiday but can’t recall who. I wish them an enjoyable time but oh dear, no hope for me on the memory front.

I am taking Miss M to her swimming lesson this morning and then we are going into town.She has requested a sausage roll for lunch??but am hoping I can persuade her into the food court at least.They live in the middle of nowhere so a Greggs sausage roll is a big treat for her!When we get back apparently I am sorting out her clothes and toys.I said to her when I was getting her ready for school on Friday I think we need to sort your wardrobe out, she said do you mean organise my closet?
We don’t normally do weekend childcare but DD’s birthday tomorrow so they are off to Liverpool.Nice to have a day with Miss M with no school.

There are a lot of Covid cases at their school so all the children have had to have a Covid test and only allowed back to school with proof of a negative result.M’s has just come back negative?Our son in laws school has closed as so many staff have Covid.Our younger daughter is keeping to her classroom bubble and it seems a lot of the other teachers have decided to do the same.Very worrying that there are so many cases.

Will check in later to see how everyone is doing and hope all unwell are recovering.TOYA?

Mr Soop is showing signs of improvement. He slept for countless hours and, has had a little breakfast. That's a good sign. He has Lymphoma and asthma and, I believe that the two vaccines given at the same time were too much for his system to cope with. We shall inform the surgery tomorrow.

I am expecting a halo very soon. I drove to Stirling to my son's flat and did the many dishes there were lying. He could see me through his computer which was a bit creepy. I've just made braised red cabbage with apples and it's in the oven emitting the most lovely smells. It'll mainly go in the freezer for Christmas etc but I'll have some with a pork today. Dd is going to nip in after she's been to Aldi so no peace for me today. I don't mind as I think she's needing her mum just now. Enjoy your afternoon kitcheners.

Good afternoon dear Kitcheners. Mr. B and I were feeling rebellious last night and stayed up very late watching films (Tim Burton’s Planet of the Apes) whilst eating pizza diavola and drinking a rather lovely cremant de Bourgogne. We have arisen late this morning and had tea and bacon butties. I’m feeling so sleepy and tired now, but surprisingly well. I half expected to have a bad tum after eating very spicy food and drinking fizzy wine, things I generally have to avoid.

Good afternoon lovely kitcheners - I was just popping in to see how MrSoop is doing today. Pleased to hear things are a little better but sensible to contact your GP about what has happened. I've just been to meet a friend for a coffee and a catch up which us always lovely. Sat down with Duncan on my lap atm - according to Mr BA he was most put out when I left the house this morning. Very vocal ??!! I'll pop in again later but enjoy the rest of the afternoon everyone

Pleased to hear Mr.Soop is in the mend. Our home is currently rather pongy with vinegar as I am cooking the Christmas Chutney.

I expected to wind down as I got older, instead I appear to be busier than ever…

I am just back from an outing with a friend to a shopping outlet in an old mill.
She had asked me on Friday if I wanted to go to Dunelm, I was already with my list waiting for her..As we were going I remarked that we were going on a roundabout route.
Oh no we aren’t she said, I always go to Broadstone mill this way.
I had to get my phone out to show her the text she sent.
She is getting very ditsy indeed.
However not a complete waste as I bought two tops and a necklace for very little money so was well pleased.

It is a beautiful day here again, my GD and 3 friends have walked to the top of Mam Tor in Castletown.
She rang from the top and they were all exhilarated.
They were eating their butties before walking back down.

I am pleased Mr soop is feeling better as I hope all not well or looking after someone not well are.

Going to grab a sandwich now, a very late lunch for me.

Today is special, Brook. Enjoy every single moment of precious time spent with your son. I'm excited on your behalf.

I am inordinately pleased as I’ve picked the first melon ever from my greenhouse, it’s pictured by the magic lily. My son bought me the lily for my birthday in March, as with all houseplants, I killed it, put it outside the back door, then forgot about it. Maybe that’s how I should treat indoor plants if anyone is daft enough to buy me them.
Off to pub for meat draw in a minute and to give away yet more mini cu’s and a few tomatoes. Catch up later all x

Urmstongran, I have still got most of a set of similar Pyrex casserole dishes, they were a wedding present, (1968), mine have fruit on them instead of flowers.
Obviously, you are all very young, as you refer to them as being your Mother's..!!
Of course, as I lived in deepest Norfolk at the time, our "gift-givers" may have been as out of date as I was (am!), .
