Well, this kitchen is lovely, I love the cool decor and colourful rugs.

The shoe hunt continues,I do have an alternative Muse but I really want to wear the dress and jacket as it’s summer autumn style.I could wear red shoes at a pinch and look just like Dorothy.?I have a couple of weeks still,so any suggestions gratefully received.
Big hugs to you GrandmaMattie ?

Happy Birthday Charliegirl hope you have a lovely day. ???? Pleased your cat story ended well Grandmafrench. ?
I’m spending hours trying to find some royal blue shoes for a wedding.Lots of high heels, sadly not for me,might have to change the whole outfit.?

Any of these any use? They might be too flat, of course, but worth looking at?

So lovely to see you in the kitchen grandMattie sending ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Good that you’re feeling better blossoming and hope you enjoy planning your next jewellery project. I think it’s so lovely to have a hobby like that where you’re making something beautiful

Well today I got well and truly soaked when walking for the bus to the gym for the Aqua class. DH and I share the car and he’d gone out in it earlier. I had my brolly but I still got really cold and wet so warmed up nicely in the jacuzzi afterwards ?
Did you resist buying the plants jaxj? After my gym class I went to the garden centre, resisted buying any plants but just bought coffee and a rather large slice of cake instead ?

Oooh grandmafrench that did make me smile about the cat food drama. At least it wasn’t as bad as you thought and the food hadn’t been sabotaged. I bet they had a bit of a giggle at Nestle too but no harm done and good that you quickly messaged her to own up!

Hope your mums doing ok dogsmakemesmile a definite worry but hopefully she’ll be ok and the others too?

Whew. I've been a busy person today. Lovely hairdresser gave me a free sample of dust to whoosh on my very depleted locks. And a hug. He and his wife are just so kind and friendly. Then I bought some art supplies and headed over to visit mum who managed to burst my happy bubble. I told her about the signed book from the author and was accused of "showing off"?. Then off to art class to soothe my soul. I'm painting poinsettias for a friend for Christmas and I've had three goes and been unhappy with the result. This effort looks much better.
I then popped to marks, bought some clothes and met a friend for coffee and a bun. We had a good blether and I feel much more serene. Grandmafrench, how embarrassing! I hope you have all had a good day.

soop Wed 22-Sept-21 17:14:06

Dear grandMattie, we all welcome you back to the kitchen. We all send our love and very best wishes for the future. flowers

The pussycat painting is pleasing. Not too long before I can say, it's finished and I'm ready to post. A huge relief since I haven't had to scrap countless attempts as is par for the course.

I now need to catch up with a job or two aboot the hoos.

I have every intention of joining you lovely lot tomorrow. smile moon

Susan56 Wed 22-Sept-21 17:26:05

grandMattie, it’s lovely to see you posting. We are all here to support you when you need us ??

We took some of our glut of garden produce to the food bank.We hadn’t realised we could drop off fresh veg. They were as pleased to receive it as we were to donate it!

Glad the painting is going well soop.

Sorry your mum burst your bubble Grandmabatty.Even though we expect it from these tricky mums it is still horrible. You know you weren’t showing off, we were all thrilled to share the excitement with you?

Hope you’ve had a lovely day Charley and Blossoming glad you are feeling better.

Grandmafrench??

Have a good evening everyone.

I’m still at least a week behind with catching up, I really don’t know how you manage it soop but I admire the way you do.

However I saw that it’s Charleygirl’s birthday today so I wanted pop in to add my good wishes Charleyg and I hope it’s been a good one. flowerssunshine

Charleygirl5 Wed 22-Sept-21 18:14:55

Thank you all so much for all of the good wishes. The weather for me was perfect- I was able to sit outside watching my washing drying and said hello to the two puppies living next door. They are firendlier and quieter than their owners!

I did absolutely zilch but eventually I went out to buy some food. Tonight's supper will be sirloin steak with trimmings. I do not fancy any wine so coffee it will be.

Charleygirl5 Wed 22-Sept-21 18:15:26

Even friendlier

gillgran Wed 22-Sept-21 18:17:34

Warm Birthday wishes for Charleygirl, hope you're enjoying your special day.
(more cake for us all!)

I'm pleased your cats tail tale has resolved itself grandmafrench

Thinking of you at this tough time grandMattie.

Best regards to all of you on soop's lovely kitchen. flowers

dustyangel Wed 22-Sept-21 18:43:47

I’ve done it, I’ve actually caught up for a change! Heaven knows how long it will last but as the family have all gone home now I might time for GN.

Grandmafrench you wear egg on your face with immense dignity and charm, it did make me laugh though. grin

Muse that is a beautiful sunrise photograph, I can’t remember who said it reminded them of a watercolour but I do agree. Looking forward to more house photographs. I managed to get a photo of Spock on the last night that GS was here, that dog got so spoilt, for some reason he loves GS but even more my lovely son in law. Both of them bend down to him instead of standing over him so that he doesn’t feel threatened. SiL ended up buying reduced meat (still fit for human consumption) to cook for him. It was a bit of a come down for him to be offered tinned food by us tonight.

dustyangel Wed 22-Sept-21 18:45:12

Not my sunrise photo but one of DDs

Yiayia4 Wed 22-Sept-21 18:48:20

Thank you for thinking of me Maw, I think they would be a bit flat the dress is long, sandals would be good but it’s early October in between seasons.

dustyangel Wed 22-Sept-21 18:50:32

Two more, although I don’t know if they will post.

Grandmabatty Wed 22-Sept-21 18:57:22

Lovely photos Dustyangel. Susan ?. I don't let her bother me now. I share the stories as they make me laugh. She likes to burst my bubble! It's very windy and rainy here in Polmont. I've got the heating on too. Definitely an autumn feel.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 22-Sept-21 19:04:45

I promise to catch up (one day) ?‍♀️

Busy day Grandmabatty tsk, tsk, annoying Mothers, you have the best attitude.
You said you had a new delivery Blossoming creative juices churning I bet, what an amazing talent, glad your world has a respite from spinning.
Fingers crossed MrM has progress tomorrow muse it’s been a long haul, I’m still cropping toms from the remaining plants , do you have a visitor soon?
I’ve had a frustrating day with my voluntary coordinating, too few drivers, too many clients.
Visited the garden centre, 2 plants may have snuck in brook ?‍♀️, the choice of bulbs was rubbish, so ordered online.
How about these Yia?
Well, MrJ on sausage and mash duty…I’ll bid you lovely people, especially our talented artist soop a peaceful evening x.

Jaxjacky Wed 22-Sept-21 19:27:25

Oooh Grandmafrench . How lucky you found out what happened. Good you had been pleasant. Always much easier to eat humble pie if you don’t have to choke it down ?
Grandmabatty I was very blessed with a lovely mum who was always pleased for me, I do however, know many who’s mums act like yours. I do hope I am never one of them. I too would be really chuffed if I had a book directly from the author. Good for you.
Glad you had a pleasant day Charleygirl. Hope you enjoy your meal ?

Doodle

Hmm musesoop wonder what flavour that is ?
Sorry muse and soop

It has the hint of a haggis and the punch of a pasty. Quite piquant, I believe Doodle. ??

Lizzie72 Wed 22-Sept-21 20:49:32
