Good morning everyone from Manchester (no, autocue - not the other ‘M’ word!) where it’s mild and damp. I think it rained in the night. My, it’s nice to be back! This apartment seems huge (it isn’t of course, it’s just that our other one is so tiny!).

All these connections with York Mick! Our neighbour from Spain (the anxious 86y old) went to live temporarily with her son in York until she finds a one-bed flat she likes. He is the landlord of a pub in the centre there - one of the oldest pubs in York I think she told me, called ‘The Cock and Bottle’.

I must ring her next week and see how she’s doing.

We are up and enjoying our first cuppa of the day. I will put our Burford Browns on the hob in a minute (with crumpets and ‘best’ butter EV ?) then it’s off through the park to the little family. We have presents to take and chocolate from duty free. I can’t wait for a squidge! We are minding the smalls for the weekend. Himself always has a moan about the mattress ...
??

Have a good Saturday those who can. x

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s mild and dry with quite a good forecast for the weekend.
Enjoy your trip to York mick it’s a lovely city. My DS was also at university there grandMattie and we often visited when we lived closer.
Definitely a proud grandma moment monk well done to your DGS
Today DH and DGS are doing their usual Saturday morning crazy golf and I’m taking DGD to her dancing class. We’re all then meeting up for lunch in a cafe by the river.
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Good morning one and all from Leamington.
I'm off to watch DGD2 play football this morning, a long drive towards the North of Birmingham. Youngest and eldest granddaughters both have dancing.
I had a lovely lunch in Bourton on the Water with my cousin yesterday. There were lots of tourists but a beautiful sunny day.
Enjoy your trip to York Mick.
Have a great Saturday everyone xxx

Just realised that what I reported as overcast is actually fog. Must remember to put my glasses on!

Good morning all from a pink skied North Leicestershire.

We are also off to York this morning. It is DH's sil's 80th birthday party. We are having a meal in a pub in their village just north of York.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from an overcast Colchester. Another warm day forecast here but more cloud and maybe a spot of rain later.
I have DGSs to feed and entertain this morning as DH is off on a Duke of Edinburgh award expedition. He is an assessor and is catching up with the time lost over the last 18 months.
Must shake a leg.
Love to all ?x

Good morning from dry West Berkshire.

Have a great day in York Mick , a beautiful place .
I too would love to see the special waistcoat grandMattie.

Football for me today , it’s being televised so an early kickoff .

Have a good day if you can.

Good morning from a misty Sarthe which should warm up later.

Lucky you, Mick, going to York! So much to see! Have a good trip.

No plans here, although DH hopes to attempt some gardening tasks as he’s feeling rather demotivated by weeks of inactivity when he’d normally enjoy being busy outside. I shall be going home within the next 10 days, Covid-19 test result permitting (booked and paid for before I left UK and the rules changed!) , so it will be good for him to try doing things whilst I’m here for back up with cooking, etc.

Thoughts with harrigran and grandMattie - look forward to seeing the waistcoat!

Have a good weekend, everyone! ??☀️????

Good morning Mick and all who follow. Have a great day in York been a few years since we were there but a place really enjoyed.
Well yesterday 5yr old Dgs came out of school with a big smile on his face wearing a citizenship award badge and carrying an enthusiasm for learning certificate. Hence 1 proud grandma.
Meeting our friends in Redditch later.
Enjoy your day everyone and may you all find some ?

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s dry and getting light. I am late waking and had a helping hand by something furry poking their nose in my back ?

I will do some laundry to make the most of outside drying. Rain is forecast for next week. Then I’ll tidy up the patio and deck and put the chairs back under the veranda.

I’m looking forward to seeing the special waistcoat too Mattie.

Have the best day you can all ??

God morning from a grey E Kent.
Love York, DD went to Uni there and loved it too. I agree that the Minster is gorgeous..
Quiet day. I’ve nearly finished the waistcoat, it was easy once I’d understood the recipe. Just buttons and buttonholes left to do.
Have a peaceful day. ????????

Morning Mick and Fanny and All to follow.

Isn’t it dark in the mornings now?

We have another nice day’s weather in store in South Bucks.

Enjoy your day Mick, we loved York, especially Betty’s Tea Room.

I hope that you have a fabulous trip. I used to live in York, it’s a truly magical and awe inspiring place. The Minster is breathtaking.
