Good morning from Portugal where the sun is just creeping over the house. A very Happy Birthday to Nankate and Grandmadinosaur, I hope you both have a wonderful day. ????.
NanKate you are a couple of years younger than me, well three if anybody’s counting, and I can still get up from the sofa without pushing myself up so keep at it ??

Scentia I’ve seen photographs of the traffic jams near DD’s house and thought what a ridiculous situation to have been artificially caused.

Sorry DD1 came up for the weekend, my sleep deprived brain hasn’t woken up yet.

Good morning from a damp but now very sunny Oxfordshire, DD2 and the children came up for the weekend, it was lovely to see them all.
Then DD2 was brought over she has been so ill, so off to A &E to sit for 2 hours in the car park until 1 am when we were called in, the injection that should have lasted 6 hours only lasted 3 so another night of her being so very poorly, hope the pills he gave her are more effective.
Anyway today I shall mostly be mopping brows and keeping a clear pathway to the bathroom for her!

Busy weekend looking after DGS1 and now I’ve got GrandDog2 here for a while, so a wet walk’s on the cards.
Meeting a friend for coffee today - about 10 miles away, so driving in Miss Daisy mode I think!

Good morning Michael and all GNs. It’s ‘orrible ‘ere in South Yorkshire - wet and windy. A change from yesterday when we watched GS play football in lovely sunshine. So it will be an “in” day for us today where no doubt I will find plenty to starting with an oven clean?. DH has a surgery appointment this morning.

Morning all
Raining here in Derby too. Looks very miserable after the sun yesterday. Off to DD’s in a bit to pick up Brian my bearded dragon after my hol. I sort of ‘acquired’ him about 8 years ago - I would never have dreamed of getting one myself, but wouldn’t be without him now! My son moved in to look after my cats so they’ve been very happy. DH, olddudders, made TIB at 5.00a.m ? then we slept for a few more hours ?, from which I feel better. This afternoon, DH has an X- ray with another one tomorrow before he returns to his GP to organise an appointment with a rheumatologist.

Nothing planned today need to buy a present for a friend and a trip to the bank but neither are urgent see what DH fancies doing.

What a change in the weather! DD and DSiL were like drowned rats when they returned from the outdoor music festival last night, they had had a lot of fun though.

No plans to go out today, I think I’ll settle down with my crochet and listen to a couple of podcasts.

Yesterday at Mass our Parish Priest, who is my age, told us that he is leaving to go to another parish to assist the very much younger priest. He told us he has been struggling for the last few years. It must be a lonely life at times.

Good morning and ……. It’s raining here on the Suffolk coast. ?. The wind is very strong and the sea is choppy. After the beautiful week we’ve had here, it feels very strange.

We are going back to Essex today and I hope the wind drops before we go over the Orwell Bridge. ??. I think I might have told you before….. many years ago we lost our sky light in our caravan as we travelled over the bridge on a windy day. Goodness know where it ended up. It wasn’t a small one either ! ?. DH managed to get diesel yesterday so we should be ok for a while.

Today we’ll clean and tidy the cottage and garden , so that it’s nice to come back to in a few weeks time. ?.

Good morning all, it’s a wet Monday morning and Autumn is really here. Regretting not getting into the garden yesterday, but perhaps the rain will wash some of the pigeon poo off the patio. I can’t wait for the bird proofing !
Going to do my Art History class by Zoom today and I think I am not alone in trying to save what precious fuel I have in my car - but annoying as it felt so good to be getting out to see people again. Life seems to be one Plan B after another.

We had a lovely bbq in the sun with family yesterday, my DS asked if he could go into the loft, cue three smaller bodies haring upstairs, children love lofts! A couple of board games came down, then reminiscing and laughter.
DH gone to work, hopefully he comes across some diesel today or he won’t be working after tomorrow.

Good morning from Staffordshire.An awful journey over her, torrential rain all the way and DH snoring beside me?I couldn’t wait to get off the motorway but the side roads were all flooded?was glad to get here.

We had a lovely day yesterday celebrating Henry’s 2nd birthday,just what we needed after our stressful Saturday.DD throws a good party and all her friends are so lovely and welcoming to us.

Today I am taking B to look at the nursery attached to the local primary school.As DD and SIL are both teachers the duty falls to me.It’s quite a responsibility deciding if it’s the right choice for him.

Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset is dry at the moment after overnight rain.

Sleep still elusive. Had a thoroughly enjoyable and chatty visit from family yesterday, today is a flu jab for me and a top up grocery shop. Fortunately two full size supermarkets and two smaller versions within a mile radius. I share your annoyance scentia.

Taking SIL to a Hospital Appointment in Shrewsbury today, as after his procedure he is not allowed to drive. Just hoping my half tank of petrol is enough. I shall get more on my journey over there if any garages have fuel! A manufactured crisis methinks!

We managed to get the The Imp (21 months) his brother (6yr old) and cousin (2yr old) to sleep until 7.10 this morning which I am counting as a win!!!

Another full on granny day, I think I will be in bed very early tonight.
