Its a miserable day outside, pouring with rain and i am still not dressed as not going anywhere and no one... i hope...visiting. I have had breakfast and and washed and cleaned my teeth and usually by now i would be dressed but i thought what does it matter there is no rush. Is this the slippery slope for the coming months!!! lol

Housework done, washing out showered and dressed.?

Sara1954 Mon 27-Sept-21 12:18:04

Lucca
School run, then off to work.
Had flu jab yesterday, and today I would quite like to be home in my nighty.

We had our whole house decorated Teacheranne about six years ago. It was a pain and we were both working too, but utterly worth it when finished. We’re having the l.room done when we’re away next month, hall stairs and landing when we’re back. Good luck!

Teacheranne Mon 27-Sept-21 12:07:33

I’m still in bed! I’m definitely a night owl now, I was still awake at 4am so set my alarm for 11am, I’ve got nothing planned for today apart from a few phone calls and sending WI related emails ( I am President of our branch so do a lot of admin). I might bake a cake later as I like to take some when I visit my mum at her care home.

I don’t do much housework as I have a cleaner and she is due tomorrow so am leaving it all for her but I do need to empty the dishwasher today.

I should add that when working I got up at 6 am so I could be in work by 7.30 so I can get up early if I have to! I am having my whole house decorated soon, starting next week, so I’ll have to be up and dressed by 8.30 to let the decorators in. I must be mad to have every room done in one go but it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Yearly. = Rarely. !

ginny Mon 27-Sept-21 11:57:43

I have not set time to get up, depends on the day, although yearly after 8.30.
I will sometimes stay in my dressing gown to do some housework jobs and then shower and dress afterwards
If I’ve had a busy day I find putting on PJs and dressing gown early evening helps me to relax.

Happy Birthday to Grandmadinosaur.

AGAA4 Mon 27-Sept-21 11:49:20

Many of us have worked hard all our lives and have had our share of being up early to commute.
Now we should just do as we please and if we want to stay in our PJ's we can without feeling we should be up and about.

GagaJo Mon 27-Sept-21 11:46:34

If I'm not working, yes. Full slob.

But today I started working, video call, online at 9am so was up and dressed.

travelsafar Mon 27-Sept-21 11:41:00

Am dressed now and have dusted and hoovered the bedrooms and landing. Also sorted out some items to put on market place to see if i can sell if not they wil go to harity shop. Answered two phone calls and made one. Having a coffee break before i started on the dusting and hoovering downstairs. The sun has come out so may go for a walk a bit later. if not i have daffodil bulbs that need planting in several pots. Always something to do. If it rains i will get on with some admin for the bowls club. Think i will have fish for tea tonight with new potatoes and brocoli, making my tummy rumble thinking about it!!!

Aveline Mon 27-Sept-21 11:35:17

I am now showered and dressed, washing on, dishwasher emptied and that's it for the day!! Nothing for it but to read and watch TV. It's pouring down so would be irresponsible to go out in it.
Don't know how I'll cope with having to be out by 9.30 tomorrow morning.

BlueBelle Mon 27-Sept-21 11:26:03

No no never I have never had a day in PJ s unless in bed ill and that’s very very rare
It’s pouring here cold, windy and miserable but my routine is the same every day whatever is happening
Shower, wash hair, get dressed 7 am do hair and small amount of light makeup, eyeliner and lippy no matter whether I m going out staying in or rain, hail or snow
Just me

Jaxjacky Mon 27-Sept-21 11:18:15

Don’t own any nightwear, so up, showered and dressed by 7 as usual.

crazyH Mon 27-Sept-21 11:05:52

Like Blossoming - just got up. I am an owl - go to bed late about 1a.m. and get up about 9.30 -10a.m. All my family and friends know not to phone or knock on my door before that. As a matter of fact, today is our Seniors Coffee morning and I’ve missed it. ?

eazybee Mon 27-Sept-21 10:51:49

No.
Up, dressed and made up before 8 o'clock, no particular reason.

Blossoming Mon 27-Sept-21 10:29:14

I’m still in my bed.

Lucca Mon 27-Sept-21 10:17:45

Hope that you feel much better soon Ann flowers

Hetty58

Yep - still not dressed - but it's raining, so the dog's gone back to bed (that's my excuse).

I think we share a very similar ethos and lifestyle!

FannyCornforth Mon 27-Sept-21 09:58:50

Nightie and dressing gown, lying on the bed with the dog ♥️ here.
In a few hours, I’ll be having a bath and putting on my pjs.
I’m due a relaxing wallow smile

Whitewavemark2 Mon 27-Sept-21 09:55:09

I get up tea, breakfast housework then shower and dress. Today will be quite late as lots planned in the house.

Kali2 Mon 27-Sept-21 09:51:05

Never ever stay in PJs- shower, get dressed - and only get into PJs as I get into bed.

Hetty58 Mon 27-Sept-21 09:51:04

Yep - still not dressed - but it's raining, so the dog's gone back to bed (that's my excuse).
