It is too soon. They should wait until it has become as much a history story as Jack the Ripper.

When I saw the word "tribute" in the title I was horrified, but it seems it is no such thing. "Tribute" implies that someone is being praised for something, not that the story of how their crimes escaped deserved retribution for so long.

I don’t agree. I think it is something which needs to be seen. Yes it will be a hard watch but it’s a kind of “warning” which should be out there.

It sounds as if it could be self-flagellation by the BBC. If it isn't, perhaps it should be.

It will show how royalty, Catholic church, the BBC and the political establishment were enamoured of his charms and let him get away with his known behaviour for decades.

Yes Lucca I do object. Why make a drama about that animal, when the majority of his victims still live. Why put them through that. It is just wrong on so many levels IMHO.

And the majority of people who turned a blind eye, cosied-up, lavished him with honours etc., are still alive, apart from Margaret Thatcher.

It’s funny how he was practically a National hero, but anyone who ever met him, or had anything to do with him, now say he was at best creepy, at worst a very frightening predator.
To be honest, it will be interesting to see how he got away with so much for so long.
Uncomfortable viewing though.

Never could stand the man, even when he was popular. I always thought he was off.

Did anyone complain about the series Fred and Rose, or the latest addition about this murdering pair. Or the Neilson story, Jimmy Saville was a vile, evil, perverted individual, as were the others and I won’t be watching it. So what is the difference, It’s called the Reckoning, not a tribute .
