Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark with signs of rain here in Brackley this morning.
Today , for me a busy one , I have an hospitality ticket to see the start of the first stage of the women's tour of Britain cycle race which starts today in Bicester , so early bus , and see all the pre race formalities such as presentations of teams c/w a continental breakfast.
I am planning on going to Banbury to see race finish there , with buses ,and later watch the highlights on TV .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a sunny Oxfordshire, just a pharmacy run today if pills are in. DD had another rough night so still not very well.
I know what you mean about jewellery urms I even put up hooks on my wardrobe door so that I could look and see what I had each day, but I still end up wearing the same necklace, same with earrings and rings, but at least they aren’t all in knots in a box anymore.

LauraNorder Mon 04-Oct-21 08:18:58

I’ve recycled some of my jewellery Urms, made little spiders with the beads and a bit of wire

Good morning from Cheshire.
Morrison's delivery in a couple of hours . Have got lazier about the wiping before putting away !
Not much else. GS off school waiting for results of Covid test - am pretty sure just a cold but not fair on vulnerable pupils to take the chance.

Good morning from a dry, chilly East Yorkshire.
Came across a glitch getting on here this morning. I usually type my message from my I phone. I logged in, typed the message but it said I wasn’t logged in but the facility to do so wasn’t there. I repeated the process to get the same message. Grrr anyone else had issues today? Anyway I’m now downstairs doing it on the I pad.

Yesterday we had a trip to Beverley. I got my belated present from DH. It’s a new winter coat. Couldn’t find one I liked previously but came across one in Seasalt of all places. I love it.
Home for a quick lunch then DH went to watch football at the pub so an afternoon to myself in which I watched Andre Rieu on Sky Arts … lovely.

I’ve got a bagful of cooking apples to do something with today. I may just cook and freeze. Then I will make soup as I have a lot of leftover veg to use up.
I am thinking of doing a walk as I need to get back to some kind of fitness.

Have a good day everyone. Take care.

Good morning Mick and all who follow. Haven't read through yet late up making up for yesterday's early start.
You have a busy enjoyable day Mick hope the weather is kind to you. Sunny start here let's hope it lasts.
Managed to sort a cupboard out yesterday will do another one today.

Enjoy your day and may you all find some ?.

Good morning from a dry and sunny NE.
All my family here yesterday afternoon, took turns to go and say hello to DH.
GD played the piano and DD played a few of DH's favourites, we especially enjoyed the Rachmaninoff.
GD brought her trainers for me to return as they were defective, DS and I spent ages navigating the website to try and print out a return label. Thankfully Hermes are going to pick up the parcel. I paid £100 for the trainers for her birthday and they were not fit to wear angry
DD coming at lunchtime, she will work online this morning. I am going to delegate the phone calls to her, chasing the Oncologist's secretary about appointments at the hospital which DH is not well enough to attend.
SIL said he would replace an LED spotlight in the kitchen, just need to find the spare part.
Have a good Monday.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Enjoy your day Mick; sounds like a treat! It’s cold and grey but as, Maple says, the sun is trying its hardest in South Yorkshire. At least it is dry. DH has an appointment for an X-ray this afternoon so we have a trip to the hospital to make which will take up most of the afternoon. DS sent lovely photos from Anglesey yesterday. I’m envious!
Have a good day, one and all!

Gosh that’s clever (and beautiful) LauraNorder. I don’t have the skill or the patience, sadly. Plus my biggest failing (or my super power) is I’m #lazygran!

I shall tip everything onto the bed and really scrutinise what goodies or junk I have. I know there’s a Rotary gold bar bracelet watch that can’t be mended. (We tried). I kept it for sentimental reasons but do I ever look at it? Nope.

I read somewhere that the price of gold is high at present. I might cash some bits and bobs in at a family run jewellers I like. Better than gathering dust in the corner of my jewellery box!

I do hang my necklaces up - easy to find that way. I’m just not wearing them. I want less stuff and less choices.

Good Morning everyone from a damp and overcast Severnside.

I had a long lie in this morning. Pottering on the cards for today. I’ll go back and read everyone’s news after breakfast.

Take care all ?

Good morning Mick and all from a sunny Lancashire coast. Hope you have a good day Mick, sounds
fun.
I’m off to a lunchtime concert, in fact I have filled the diary with so much now that things have started up again, I’m out nearly every day as before lockdown. I’ll take the bus rather than the car and apart from petrol and parking bother, it’s nice to see people.
Love the spiders LauraNorder, so effective.
Thoughts to Harrigran and grandMattie ?

brook2704 Mon 04-Oct-21 09:26:25

That’s really creative Laura well done with the design - I bet you could easily sell a few of those at a craft fair or similar

Gelisajams Mon 04-Oct-21 09:41:37

Good morning from Morecambe Bay where actually stopped raining although more showers are forecast. I got DS2’s bathroom done yesterday. There was more tiling than I remembered so it took me less time than I thought. There was plenty of petrol stations with no queues Urmston but you may need to consult your bank manager before you fill up as prices have shot up!
Take care everyone and stay safe ?

Grandmajean Mon 04-Oct-21 09:50:10

The spiders are lovely LauraNorder and I agree with Brook that you could sell them at a craft fair.

luluaugust Mon 04-Oct-21 10:18:29

Good morning from NW Kent, sunny and sitting by my window lovely and warm. Quick outing to collect medicine and that is it for today. Love the spiders, yes they would definitely sell.

gillgran Mon 04-Oct-21 11:14:58

Good Morning from a bright, sunny, but chilly Cambs.,

It sounds like you have a great day planned Mick, I hope you enjoy it.

I love your spiders LauraNorder, we have lots of spiders here, (they have been busy spinning webs)....!!!

Our eldest DGD has gone to Lancaster university for her first, of three years. We are missing her already.!

Thinking of you all, especially those with extra worries.
Kind, warm thoughts for grandmattie, & for harrigran,
flowers
