Help! The old kitchen door is locked. I'm wandering hither and thither like a lost soul. Has a new kitchen been opened please? I hate being this side of the door.

Sue,what sad news. Losing a close friend leaves such a huge gap in our lives. You must be devastated. ?

Callistemon Sat 23-Oct-21 09:36:26

SueDonim

Just popping in briefly to say my friend died peacefully early this morning.

Please give each other an extra hug, real or virtual, as you go about your business today.
Xxx

I am so sorry to hear that SueDonim and relieved to hear it was peaceful.

That ? should be at the End! Totally changes the meaning. ?

Charleygirl5 Sat 23-Oct-21 08:40:39

I have always "known" him as McSporran and he will continue with that name in this hotel. Did the name change happen when I was in the doghouse? I am definitely confused.com

Having met Soop's husband and what a lovely man he is, ? he will always be, McSporran to me!

X posts Susan! You were paying attention. In fact more details than I remembered.
Top of the class for you.

Urmstongran Fri 22-Oct-21 22:22:16

I recall last year soop saying it was his preferred moniker.
Pay attention class!

Thank you for all your kind posts about Ollie.Matilda is so sad but cheered by the thought of soop painting a portrait of him.We need to find a clear photo of his face without Henry in the frame!

Maw and kitty, I think it was McSporrans request to be known as Mr soop when he was holding the fort during soop’s last hospital stay.

kittylester Fri 22-Oct-21 21:38:51

I just have one question before I go to bed - when did McSporran become Mrsoop? It's confused me no end. Or is this a new husband *soop grin

I got my duck today! Essential in this house for Christmas Eve crispy duck, I also got my letter for my £200 heating allowance, well, I’m now old. The children will have £100 each, they need it and I’ve a feeling we’re getting harsh weather this winter, this is from the person who can smell snow coming, story for another day.
DD’s car passed the MOT, a month late but done. Good, as they’re off to Hastings next week for half term, we’ll be joining them for two nights, not in the mobile home, but a rather grand looking hotel, still not wearing a frock ?.
soop this is your try every avenue, so embrace it, you have the love and support of Mrsoop, I’m sure of your family too and us lot x
Take care all you lovely people, thoughts with those grieving and hurting xx

From reading about your friend having the dialysis, to reading today's sad news, I'm so shocked SueDonim. My sympathies to you and her family.

Sending hugs for Matilda and Henry Susan.

‘Evening All’.

2 joyous grandchildren skipped out of school this afternoon to start their half term week here in Trafford. We’ve had a sunny afternoon which has been lovely.

Himself has booked our flights to return to Malaga the first week in January with Mr O’Leary - such good offers at present. It would be rude not to take him up on them! I’m beyond excited already. It will shorten the winter.

kittylester Fri 22-Oct-21 18:07:28

My condolences suedonim. It's very hard to lose a friend.

I'm sorry about the kitten Susan, it has happened to us a few times.

soop I am doing okay. Are you less achey on your new tablets. I am achey this evening having done my Nordic walking this morning. I try to keep active.
We are recovering from a weekend with the GC. Surprising how exhausting it can be!

brook2704 Fri 22-Oct-21 17:51:07

Such a shame about the DGC little kitten Susan how upsetting for them. How kind of you though soop to offer to paint a picture in memory of Ollie
I’ve just sat down after a good but tiring day looking after the DGC. We’d tentatively arranged that DD2 would pick them up after lunch but she actually arrived for lunch and settled herself onto the sofa for most of the afternoon. Good job I had nothing much planned …

brook2704 Fri 22-Oct-21 17:42:09

So sorry to hear such sad news SueD sending hugs and ?

So sorry to read about your dear friend, Suedonim, so quick too, you've hardly had time to come to terms with it.flowers

Poor GC Susan, poor wee cat. So wonderful that our Soop has the talent to create special memories for them.

Soop, not long now, you'll be marking it on the calendar and counting the days. My sister had successful urgent surgery in Ross Hall early this year and she was very impressed with the whole experience.

Beautiful art work from Galen and Grandmabatty, what a gift you have ladies. My creativity involves making soup!!

I enjoyed a wee walk in the park with my sister, then planted up some winter bedding, nice heathers, cyclamen, cinneraria and pansies. Cold but dry here, lovely blue sky earlier.

Sending kind thoughts and love and prayers to those who need/wish them,
??? TOYA
