I’d love to have looked like Joan Collins in her younger days. Although at nearly 90
she still looks fantastic!

When in my teens I was asked for my autograph at a train station, as Mary Hopkins. Later I often plaited my long natural blonde hair, swinging it around my head and was likened to Grace Kelly. Now look more like the bag lady. I could never see the attraction of Audrey Hepburn….a bit like a boy. Sophia Loren was very womanly.

When I was young my colleagues at work called me Lucy they said I was just like Lucille Ball.

Agree absolutely.i was always a real plain verging on the awful looking child .skinny pale dishwater short hair that stuck up/out/everywhere but straight. A gawky looking tweenie, (gawd knows how today's 12 year olds look like modells?!) And non descript in every way. Then I discovered makeup.and found that I suited the off beat the quirky and the downright "odd" as I was described! My personality was always a bit manic so I could make folk howl with jokes and comments. Then in my teens/early 20s I took on my own style, I've remained quirky but always always well put together, not high end but thoughful dressing etc. I LEARNED to make the best of what I had which was nothing like anyone else's!! Results being I'm acknowledged as always smart unusual and we'll turned out-and dead funny! Why copy? The original is always best!

I know someone just like you ! AlwaYs has colourful clothes AND hair !

I have been told I resemble Joanna Lumley can you just imagine her with a Liverpudlian accent I think not,the nearest I think I have got to resembling her is the hair

My hubby ( when younger and skinnier ) was always told he looked like Tim Henmanand when I was younger people said I looked like Susan George but I didn't know who she was then lol

When I was in school I had a friend who was truly stunningly gorgeous. She always had a lot of attention from everyone; boys, girls, adults. I never wished for that kind of attention. I’d rather sit unnoticed and unbothered than to have everyone watching me!

Ellie Anne

I think I’m ugly so any change would be good.
Natasha from the antique programmes is lovely. Used to think Ann diamond was very attracts.

Ellie Anne,
Most of us would consider ourselves less attractive than others.
But some people obviously find us attractive, so I can guarantee you are not ugly in other people's eyes!
I always hated my looks until one day I looked in the mirror, decided I'm no oil painting or watercolour, but I could be a lot worse and just started accepting myself!!

Joan Collins might look brilliant at nearly 90, but that's all down to her plastic surgeons!
I just love to see celebrities who have, or seem to have, aged as they should have....just like the rest of us!

I've never really wanted to look like anyone except myself. But if I had to choose it would be Doris Day or Audrey Hepburn, both very naturally beautiful women.

Bad luck Supergran ?
My other half looks more than a little like Steve Martin.

Rowantree Sun 17-Oct-21 18:53:47

Mary Beard.

No luckily TillyTrotter! I prefer Aidan Turner but he doesn't look like him either unfortunately! ?

Bridgette Bardot in her younger years

FannyCornforth Sun 17-Oct-21 17:56:46

songstress which of those egomaniacs resembles you?

songstress60 Sun 17-Oct-21 17:44:56

I dislike most famous people, and have NO wish to resemble any of them. They are all a bunch of overpaid egomaniacs

TillyTrotter Sun 17-Oct-21 17:35:21

And does your husband look like John Travolta Supergran
?

Supergranuation Sun 17-Oct-21 17:33:16

Shania Twain. My husband wishes I looked like Olivia Newton John -in his dreams!???

Rosina Sun 17-Oct-21 17:16:55

Grace Kelly when she was about thirty five - she seemed to be at the peak of her beauty around that time.
However, I have often thought that if you are a great beauty, how hard it must be to see it all descending slowly, gravity ruining the goddess face. 'Quite happy to be ordinary me - although I was often told I looked like Mary Hopkin.

Yammy Sun 17-Oct-21 16:45:53

As a teenager Jean Shrimpton as I grew older Catherine Deneuve. Still dreaming hmm

Roswell Sun 17-Oct-21 16:01:51

Twiggy. She's a few years older than me but has aged well. If she's had any work done it's very subtle.

TillyTrotter Sun 17-Oct-21 15:59:46

Sophia Loren (I can dream ?…..)

kevincharley Sun 17-Oct-21 15:53:51

tiredoldwoman

I would like to look like Anne Bancroft when she did The Pumpkin Eater . Sadly , I look like the pumpkin.

I can empathise there!!
