(43 Posts)Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but its dry outside at the moment ,today as my sister is here .
Will have a late breakfast somewhere , and then do the cemetery with flowers , before they depart northbound to Salop.
Take Care,
Mick
Brilliant news Greyduster ?
Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, its 12°C. Mick, I hope you have had an enjoyable visit with your sister.
I had an unexpectedly busy day yesterday, culminating in a visit from DS2 and his fiancée. They arrived with coffee and donuts, as a treat,
My future DIL informed me that my son has become a very competent househusband, since he started working from home. I do not recognise this man at all!!! ?
There was a lot of wedding talk and planning kilt fittings, followed by a proposed visit to the pub. It will be good for DH to have time away from me and enjoy some sensible, intelligent conversation! ?
I have nothing planned today, as my chronic fatigue has raised its ugly head again, those with RA will understand what I mean.
Instead of our usual Sunday roast, DH will make a curry to give me a rest. My handsome professor and I will be spending quality time in the conservatory, enjoying the Sunday papers. I may be there for some time, it can take me up to a week to read the Sunday Times! ?
Beechnut, the box looks lovely. You have put me in the notion for doing some crafting again. I have so any stones picked up from holidays abroad. There was an incentive when I was working, I used to make jewellery to match my outfits. However, at the moment, I have no social life! ?
Baubles, our parish longer requires booking for Mass, it could be because our church is very big with high ceilings.
For those with trips away, enjoy and safe journey. Wishing you all a pleasant Sunday.
Harri, praying that you find peace the strength to get through the coming days. ?
Glad to hear your news "Greyduster*, you must be so relieved.
Good to hear greyd.
Good morning from a brightish Leicestershire.
Good to hear your DH is home Greyduster.
My DH is still quite poorly from the nasty cold/flu he caught. Not much on the cards today, I may not even have to cook a roast as DH is not eating much.
Thoughts are with Harrigran.
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Good Morning Everyone, it’s a grey day here ( ! )
Awful storm with wind and rain last night , but calmer and dry now , at least it kept the partygoers off the streets. , we had one of those parties arranged by social media on Friday night , but the venue couldn’t cope and closed the doors , someone rang the Police but it was after one am before quiet was restored . My neighbours tell me that the teenagers parents were arriving to pick them up so that added to the chaos
That’s a very glam tissue box Beechnut , what glue did you use for the leaves ?
Sorry to read you are under the weather Marydoll
I hope the new bed suits your OH , GrannySomerset and saves your back
Thoughts and prayers harrigran these are hard days xxx
Good morning all from a dark, damp Lancashire. A day of not much ahead. I will probably do some more research on the family tree, having discovered a name and place we weren’t previously aware of. Pleased your husband is home Greyduster and hope your husband is feeling better soon dragonfly.
Have a peaceful Sunday all, may a few ? cross your paths today.
Good morning Mick and all others on here this morning, a sunny but breezy day in Oxfordshire.
Miss Oops has recovered enough to go home, but we are all still suffering the effects of this awful cold/flu and are all still exhausted! Thank goodness that our list of jobs doesn’t have an end date.
Sadly GCs won’t be coming up for half term, one has just recovered from a throat infection and we don’t want them to catch this horrid bug and have to miss College.
Of courses this year I was organised and nephew went out and bought some Pumpkins for them all to carve. I will put them on FB later to see if any local people want them, if not the birds and wildlife will have a great feast, once I’ve cut holes in them.
Thoughts are with Granmattie and harri hope other have a good day with hugs for those who aren’t so chipper.
Good morning,
The sun has left us in South Yorkshire now, and it’s rainy and blustery. I think we’re going to get a mixed bag of weather today.
Pleased to read that your DH is home from hospital Greyduster. It must have seemed a long day for him yesterday having to wait at the hospital for his medication. Hope he’s soon fit and well.
What a lovely box Beechnut. You are very skilled.
A lazy day in store, I think. I was going to give the grass a cut as it’s put quite a spurt of growth on, but the rain has put paid to that idea.
Those of you feeling unwell today, I hope you soon feel better.
To those of you with plans, enjoy yourselves.
Take care.
Good morning Mick and everyone from bright Carlisle where the weather may or may not improve.
Yesterday afternoon was a tad frustrating, the showers turned into constant rain so gardening was off. Therefore I went to finish off my Tesco online order and book another slot. The website was down and apparently had been so from early on. It's still down this morning. The 'technical difficulties' haven't been detailed so goodness knows what's going on.
I'm hoping to get out into the garden today, otherwise I won't be doing much except for a bit of gentle reading.
Like that tissue box Beechnut, I'm an incompetent in the crafting department sadly.
Have the best possible day, everyone.
Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s dry but has obviously rained during the night. It seems milder today.
I’m late to post. I slept so well last night I had 11 hours sleep! Unheard of.
I’ve had breakfast (tea and toast and delicious Scottish marmalade) brought to me in bed by Himself but it’s time to stir my stumps (awful saying my mum used to say it) and prepare Hungarian goulash a lá Delia for dinner. I will leave it on a peep in the oven whilst we go to a bar downstairs with my stepfather who is very much enjoying a pre-prandial pint with us before coming up here to eat.
Himself will then watch Man. Utd -v- Liverpool ?
Then there’s the Texan Grand Prix.
?
Good morning from a very breezy Newcastle. Had a lovely walk yesterday from Cullercoats to Tynemouth - not far but it really felt good for soul. There were masses of (very brave) surfers in the sea. We'd travelled there and back by Metro so returned home via Tynemouth station and had a great time strolling around the huge market held there every weekend.
Urmstongran my mother used to "stir her stumps" too - I think it may be something her mother used to say.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Good morning from a sunny and bright East Midlands. Crocheting a corner to corner today for a new baby that is coming into one of my friend’s lives.
mrswoo. I have walked between Cullercoats and Tynemouth years ago and it is a lovely walk. Have a lovely day.
Glad you've got MrD back Greyduster .
Sorry you are a bit under the weather Marydoll
