Good morning from a dark overcast E Kent. Only a week before we return to GMT.
Only the early service today. DH will watch the rugby while I prepare the lamb for roasting. Can’t decide yet whether to have a ratatouille or roast vegetables with it…
Trust each day that comes is gentle with you. Carpe diem. ??????

Good morning all, dark and dry here in S Hants, hope you’re enjoying your visitors Mick.
Bit of gardening to do, including getting a winter clematis in, rain due later. Cottage pie later then small amount of packing for a couple of days away.
Wishing you all a peaceful Sunday. ???

Good morning everyone from Inverness, it’s still dark here but it looks dry and it’s not too cold.
I hope you’ve enjoyed having your sister to stay with you mick
I’m awake quite early as we’re travelling down to Edinburgh later today as we’re attending a memorial service for a family member on Monday.
Both arms are a bit sore after the flu and covid jabs yesterday but luckily no other side effects
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Good morning all from dark Herts, it still feels like the middle of the night. I expect that hour from next week onwards will make a difference. We're enjoying a first cuppa of the day made made by DH and the heating is on thankfully.

Will have roast veg for lunch with beef I cooked in the slow cooker yesterday. DS3 usually joins us for Sunday lunch so we'll have a catch up.

Sincere condolences and warm wishes to Harrigran at this very difficult time for you and your family.

Wishing all GNs a peaceful, restful day.

Good morning Mick from a dark Lancashire coast. Early (for me) start as I catch a coach soon for a day trip into North Wales, looking forward to it and slept well, thank heavens, not sleeping my bugbear at the moment. My dreams seem to consist of old friends and family, dead and alive…
Wrapping up for SNOWDONIA ?. Sandwiches and coffee made too, I’m quite the nerd on these trips.
It must have been nice to see your sister Mick.
Hope you all have good Sunday and thoughts to harrigran.

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire. I think it’s a wet start again but as I’m not actually u out of bed yet I can’t be sure.

I put some Halloween decorations outside yesterday, the little children love to see the houses decorated. A good few of our neighbours join in the fun.

Early Mass for me today, I was too late to book a slot for 11 so I’d better get a wriggle on. Other than that I have no plans, I’ll just see how the day pans out.

Wishing everyone a peaceful Sunday. ??

Good Morning everyone from Severnside where we have a very colourful sky.

My plan for today will be to make a few cards, fill up the green waste bin with my cuttings from last week and start to put together part of family tree and work out what questions I want to ask.

Marydoll, I gave my tissue box a base colour then went over it with silver and bronze paint. When I was mooching in my craft cupboard I found some acer leaves that I had dried from a previous autumn and thought I’d stick them on the box.

Hope you all have the best day you can with roasts, trips and visits ?

Morning Mick, morning All from our corner of Somerset. Pink clouds look wonderful. Still windy though.

With everything we set out to do yesterday accomplished suspect today will be a day of very little activity. Mr C will hopefully finish a jigsaw, it would be good to see the table again. I may wrap a gift or two, or may not grin. Sleep is still hard to come by and I’m in a permanent fog.

That’s a fabulous tissue box beechnut. Breakfast out sounds an excellent plan mick. Good to hear people are involved in outings and breaks away.

Take care everyone. Special thoughts to those with sadness or worries. Hope Sunday is kind to us all.

Good morning from Colchester where the whitish clouds are in long horizontal lines. Another cool, dry day I think.
A quiet Sunday with a roast chicken dinner and a glass of white to look forward to later.
Love to all ?x

Good morning from Hayes in Kent at DD2's House.
The drive here yesterday was fine, the M25 behaved.
We went to see the musical SIX yesterday evening and it was brilliant.
We had a meal first in a Turkish restaurant that was very enjoyable.
I think we are going to the park this morning to feed the ducks with the almost 4 year old and then a roast later.
I heard yesterday that DGD2 in Leamington has tested positive for Covid. That puts paid to any half term plans. I was meant to be meeting up with them on Thursday in London.
Have the best Sunday you can everyone xx

Good morning everyone from s blustery North Wales. I will get ready for my walk soon.
I had an enjoyable time with my family yesterday. My 16 year old GD is so grown up now with strong views on political issues. We had some interesting discussions.

Wishing you all a good Sunday.

Good morning all from a brightening North Leicestershire. We had the most glorious sky earlier.

I am on hot dog duty for DH and DS1 before the football and then lamb, roast potatoes, roast carrots and cauliflower cheese for when they get home.

Had a long video chat with DD2 yesterday and, if nothing changes, she and the girls will come on Wednesday.

Love to garr.

kittylester Sun 24-Oct-21 08:21:41

My flipping phone

Love to harri.

Good morning all from the Suffolk coast and there’s another spectacular sunrise.
Yesterday we gardened and walked little pooch. Dh went to a local footie match and I cleaned the oven and pottered around. Think I’ve overdone it as my back is stiff and sore ?.
I need to change beds today in preparation of DS1 and family arriving tomorrow. We’ll have to shop too. They are doing another covid test this morning and will let me know if they are definitely coming. ?

Enjoy the rest of the weekend with your sister Mick.

Very attractive tissue box beechnut . Clever you ?

Have a lovely day trip to snowdonia hollysteers. How beautiful! ?.

Safe journey brooke.

Wishing you all a ‘Good day’ . ?

BlueSapphire Sun 24-Oct-21 08:25:11

Good morning everyone from a dry and bright Northampton. No plans for today, so will just read the papers, knit and catch up with some tv programmes. Will probably watch a rugby match this afternoon.

My painter stayed all day yesterday, and got two coats of paint on the summerhouse, and thankfully now it is protected against winter weather and looking smart. Think I may attempt painting the inside myself in the spring.

A peaceful Sunday to everyone.

Gingster Sun 24-Oct-21 08:25:59

Glad you enjoyed the musical Sar . ?. I’ll put it in my list.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 24-Oct-21 08:30:46

Good morning Mick and all

I have no idea why I bothered to go to bed last night as I was still wide awake at 5am, consequently I am feeling like a wrung out dishrag…

Hope your DGD is OK Sar53 without any nasty symptoms.

Allegedly I am cooking roast pork later along with roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, cabbage and broccoli? Might be the only activity for me all day ??

Keep safe and well folks ??‍♀️

ginny Sun 24-Oct-21 08:34:34

Good morning from a bright N. Bucks.
Nothing much planned today but we too are off on a short break tomorrow so have some packing to do.
Wishing all a day with a smile along the way.

Ashcombe Sun 24-Oct-21 08:37:23

Good morning, all, from an overcast Torbay with rain expected.

Late on parade as a friend from Stafford is staying in a nearby hotel for a couple of nights and we'd had a “convivial” evening! ??

Lunch at The Buccaneer is planned with a walk over the Downs first, weather permitting.

Wishing you all a blessed Sunday with relief for those in pain of any kind. ?????

Gwenisgreat1 Sun 24-Oct-21 08:40:00

Good morning all from grey Harrogate
Will make an attempt to go to church, especially as they are back to social distancing and masks.
Seems to be a lot of spider webs around the house so shall have to deal either then soon

Hope you have plenty of family support Harrigran at this difficult
time.
Enjoy your trip Mick where are you going?
Have a safe and really good day today folks

Greyduster Sun 24-Oct-21 08:44:15

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a sunny South Yorkshire - a glorious sunrise this morning. The eagle has landed - we finally got DH home from hospital at nine o’clock last night after he had to wait half the day for his medication which someone had forgotten to order. Bless all the staff, they are under pressure and do very well, but now my job is to administer copious amounts of good food and help him get his strength back. It was super to see DS yesterday but I was sad because he wasn’t allowed to see DH. He may come down in the week. A gentle day today, then, and roast pork for lunch.
Hope Sunday is kind to everyone.
