Or as I seem to remember … fall asleep snore most attractively in front of tv then go to bed and seem amazed one is not absolutely keen as mustard for a bit of hanky panky……sorry to lower the tone

I agree with that. I’ve just had the perfect cup of tea which was brewing while I was trying to work out what was hanging off the lamppost. By the time I took my tea back up to bed the item had vanished but the tea was lovely.

I don’t get itchy on the opposite arm but I do get re-occurring very slight pain, so glad to hear I’m not the only one!

I once heard that called "pain memory" Shinamae I get it for several weeks after I have an injection

Or if it's one of a pair, until you eventually give up all hope of ever finding it again, and throw away the other half of the pair!

Why do tried and tested recipes never taste quite the same how ever times you cook them? Particularly cakes.

And @PollyTickle; it's not just in the winter-anyone who's been on a cruise will tell you that sea air shrinks clothes too!

In a rush and then usually get stuck behind a tractor or a learner. I like to think this happens to prevent an accident further up the road (that is, unless you try some foolhardy overtaking).

Why does DH not say a word all morning until I settle down to do something that needs all my concentration, like cross stitch or reading. So frustrating!

Why do my feet start to itch when I get into bed? They don't itch any other time. No other part of me itches.

Why do I so often get sunshine when the forecast said it would rain and be overcast all day? Just my luck! I am trying to reclaim this phrase - why do we always mean something we didn't want has happened ? We could be more optimistic and say it when something unexpected and welcome comes along!

One of my favourite authors, Barbara Pym, thought the strength of a cup of tea varied according to your emotional state when you brewed it. I think she may have been onto something there.

Slugs like cool damp places. Why, then, does one keep appearing in my kitchen most evenings? And how do the little beggars get in? I pick them up in a piece of toilet roll and lob the outside. Maybe it's the same one that keeps coming back, but what does it want?

Why is it when I take my car for its MOT( in N.I you take it to a centre yourself) and when the guy asks me to turn on my wipers I always put the indicators on or vice versa. I use them every day with no problems, but I can't work out which is which when I get in that damn centre. They say it happens all the time, but I think they are just being polite.
