Hoping no-one else has done this.

We need to get things organised for soop's return.

Bellanonna Thu 18-Nov-21 17:55:52

soop, what the previous recent posters have just said, PLEASE do it. I’m personally disgusted at how you’ve been treated and how the NHS cannot step in to help. It’s reached a point where you really must set plan B in motion. Sending you lots of love.

Good evening dear Kitcheners. The new painkillers are making me very sleepy and sleepy have dozed much of today. I think I will only need them for one more day, the pain is much diminished. Hard choices ahead Soop but you know all the options. I know people who manage fine with stomas and others who use pants/pads for various reasons. Whatever you decide people will support you.

TOYA

Sending you hugs soop. Hopefully you'll find a solution some way. I too say as others have please have a look at the crowd funding.
Some more good news we met little Rupert yesterday and have spent the evening with Ellie and her Daddy. My daughter is still in hospital.

Two sleepies! My concentration has gone to pot! Mr. B is making piri piri chicken wraps, I hope I don’t fall asleep and face plant in my dinner!

Blossoming Thu 18-Nov-21 18:29:29

What a beautiful baby Nannyfaraway

Bellanonna Thu 18-Nov-21 18:30:07

Oh he’s gorgeous, Nannyfaraway!

Susan56 Thu 18-Nov-21 18:50:02

Nannyfaraway he’s absolutely gorgeous???

brook2704 Thu 18-Nov-21 19:09:51

Gorgeous baby nannyfaraway congratulations to all your family!

TillyTrotter Thu 18-Nov-21 19:13:00

Beautiful photo nannyfaraway. You must have been delighted to meet Rupert.

Jaxjacky Thu 18-Nov-21 19:30:49

Congratulations To all the family nannyfaraway delightful.
soop I don’t know, or need to know your financial circumstances. What I do know is, if I was in such a dire situation, my family and good friends would move heaven and earth to help. If they’ve offered, as people have here, let them.
Blossoming face planting is so unattractive ? pleased the drugs are working! X

Urmstongran Thu 18-Nov-21 20:12:34

‘Evening All’.

A day of resting (even more than my usual), paracetamol, ibuprofen fluids, a cough bottle and finishing ‘The Crown’. Even my cheekbones ache. I’ve cancelled any arrangements we had for the next few days. I hope this peaks and passes soon it’s so debilitating.

Which of course seems a terribly crass thing to say in here with soop struggling so. I hope a decision that brings you respite from all this can be found soon dear lady. Your forbearance all these years is nothing short of remarkable.

Blossoming Thu 18-Nov-21 20:30:52

Sorry you’re feeling so rough Urmstongran. Hope you feel better soon x

Dogsmakemesmile Thu 18-Nov-21 20:53:03

Nannyfaraway Rupert is scrumptious.
Urms sorry you are feeling so grim. I hope you feel better tomorrow.
soop I am sorry PASS could not offer further options. As others have said , the kitcheners are here for you. As you have been for them.
Good night everyone. Another long day of work. Albeit a wonderful one. Shattered. x

SueDonim Thu 18-Nov-21 20:58:56

Thank you, Brook. A good night’s sleep helped a lot. I was out and about today and I’ll be back to full throttle tomorrow, I reckon. smile

That cute baby! His gorgeous eyes! ❤️❤️❤️

Our six week old Big Boy was weighed today - an ounce off 13lb. shock He’s on the 91st centile for all his measurements. Dd think she’ll need to start up a special clothing fund for him.

Soop that sounds utterly miserable. Maybe the NHS can’t pay for private operations as such but they can refer, surely? My dd had her wisdom teeth removed in a private hospital but it was all NHS treatment and included the same surgeon.

It’s my wedding anniversary today. We’ve celebrated with a curry made by Mr Sainsbury. grin

Feelingmyage55 Thu 18-Nov-21 21:20:13

Good news is that I received my booster. The drop N centre was incredibly busy. They had run out of the flu jab though.
Beautiful baby Rupert. He will bring much happiness and hope they are ready to go home soon.
soop. I can but send you hopes that your GP or someone somewhere can do something. MP? Write to the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care in Scotland Humza Yousaf MSP. He is by all accounts a doer. Having had private treatment should not exclude you in any way from being looked after. ?

Jaxjacky Thu 18-Nov-21 21:26:43

Congratulations SueDonim on your anniversary ?❤️?

brook2704 Thu 18-Nov-21 21:46:13

A very Happy Anniversary SueDonim I hope you and your DH have enjoyed your celebrations today ???

That sounds yucky Urms I hope you feel much better soon. Let me know if you find another good series to watch on TV as I enjoyed the Crown too

I meant to comment on the GM thread about the lovely picture of Imogen Jax a beautiful young lady, you must be so proud of her and her achievements ?

SueDonim Thu 18-Nov-21 21:58:03

I missed out Urmston!. Get well soon, that sounds a wretched thing you’ve got. flowers

GrannySomerset Thu 18-Nov-21 22:38:19

How I feel for you, Soop. And incontinence pads provided by the NHS are pretty useless. We buy DH’s from a firm called Beaucare who are not cheap but very efficient. The nursing home expects us to provide them there too, which is adding insult to injury.

Definitely investigate the crowd funding route - my winter fuel allowance couldn’t go to a better cause.

Blossoming Thu 18-Nov-21 23:04:59

Happy Anniversary SueD. Hope things are settling down GrannyS

TillyTrotter Fri 19-Nov-21 07:46:37

HAPPY belated anniversary SueD and your dear husband. flowers

Nannyfaraway I would so enjoy cuddling wee Rupert. He is a star. So precious. sunshine

Urms A comforting arm around your shoulders. Be extra kind to yourself. smile

GrannySomerset Another kind and supportive Kitchener to whom I owe a debt of gratitude. You lot keep me focused.

We continue to gather all the information filed away under Drop Bot. GP has given me the number for the nurse who will arrange for the special pads that will hopefully boost my confidence when leaving the house.

Today, we research Crowd Funding. We have no idea what is involved. It all helps to keep us focused.

I shall return later this afternoon to update you with any progress.

flowers For every one of my special friends here in the kitchen.
