Soop's wonderful, warm and welcoming kitchen

Thanks so much for the update kalu it’s good to know you’ve been in touch with the ward where soop is. So kind of you to offer to visit too - I’m sure you will but please pass on all the good wishes and thanks again for the update ?

Good morning Kitcheners. I was saddened by your news Jaxjacky , I hope your FIL is comfortable and that those he loves are with him.

I hope Soop has had a comfortable night too and will soon be feeling more like herself. She will know she has been much in all our thoughts.

An infrequent poster but I do keep an eye on the kitchen. It’s good that some of you have been in touch with soop and have been able to report back to us. I’m sure we all look forward to hearing from her in person tomorrow. It’s been really odd without her.

Back from a very enjoyable short break with good friends I’m trying to catch up.

We have a houseful today. Dd2, husband and two giggly girls are here for the weekend. I might just try soop's cushions for size. Wake me up before she gets back - I need to make a Rocky Road!

Good morning all, just spoken to Soop, the news isn't great. She is heartbroken at all the bug****ions*. (her words) She will explain tomorrow. I am in tears typing this. Why is it the nicest people have the worst luck?

She sends you lot lots of love, all she wants is to get back to Mr Soop

I have spoken to Annie now that you have Marydoll
What a stoic our Soop is and I will leave it to Soop to tell you herself tomorrow.
She is packing up in readiness for her friend to collect her but she asked me to tell all in the kitchen what wonderful friends and special people her Granspals are. She sends her love.

Oh my goodness, I cannot imagine what poor Soop has gone through. How can things go so wrong??

Awful news.
I think if I’m correct, yesterday’s procedure was more of a ‘look-see’ for the surgeon to ascertain whether or not he could perform the operation her friend had done by him.
I may of course be wrong.
soop will let us all know in due course. I’m saddened to hear she is upset.

Morning all,

Just popped in for news of Soop . Glad the procedure is done and hope she has had good news.

I shall leave a choice of cake for celebrating her return , my all time old favourite - a Black Forest gateau , a lemon drizzle and a half decent cherry cake with whole cherries non of that chopped up stuff ?

We have had out boosters so will be having a relaxing day. I shall be kept busy doing some sewing of badges for our young air cadet from over the road who assures me his family don’t even own a sewing needle ?

Hello everyone. Sorry I've been away for so long. I've had a lot going on in the past few months. I was diagnosed with a sort of Parkinson's in March. I'm now on Madopar.
My youngest daughter had some trouble with her landlord and she has recently been diagnosed with Type one Diabetes.
The good news is my 2nd Grandchild is due anyday now. Ellie was 3 last month.

Oh how disappointing- I am so very sorry to hear this as Soop (and all of us) were pinning our hopes on this.

I normally hate the term “gutted” but it seems apt right now

Poor Soop, I really feel for her. I'm sure she cannot wait to get home to her dear husband.
Thank you to the Glasgow grans for all that they have done behind the scenes, friendship at it's best.
My thoughts are with Jax at this sad time for her too .
