You darling lot are beyond precious. Thank you for every kind thought and comment. Mr Soop is about to formulate a list that we will present to our GP and ask him to act upon. I have a telephone consultation with our GP late this afternoon.

In 2002 I underwent pelvic floor surgery in a private hospital because we were about to move to Scotland. It didn't work as it should have. The records for that period are no longer available.

Ten years ago, matters became increasingly bothersome. I started attending various clinics in a variety of locations and have had countless procedures, all of which have not solved the prolapse which is now "big" and beyond bothersome. My bowels refuse to empty. I become very constipated and need daily laxatives. In the past, I was offered radical surgery, and accepted. Only to be told that "the team" had further discussed my case and decided against doing something that, at that time, would most probably delayed the worsening rectal prolapse. The prolapse has been "banded" several times. Within a week or so everything reverts back to the point that it blocks the back passage. The surgeon who underwent the procedure last week is one in which I have TOTAL respect and faith. Sadly, he is not an NHS consultant. Hence the need to raise £25,000.

He will call me in a month's time. He will also catalogue his findings and post them to me.

In the meantime, Mr Soop and I are preparing to do whatever it takes to be heard. No more "nice guy and gal"...

I shall return once I've spoken with the GP.

Just popping in the kitchen to say a quick hello to everyone. A busy and tiring day here - it will be an early night for me ??!! I too think the idea if crowdfunding is an excellent one ?

Mr Soop and I have been busy sifting through countless documents that record our journey concerning the initial diagnosis of "drop bot" some ten years ago. We are needing to take a break, but have formulated an in-depth account to which there is much to be added.

The GP rang as arranged. He totally agrees that this matter cannot continue unresolved. He needs the letter from the surgeon who cared for me in Ross Hall. That should follow on hopefully sooner rather than later. If we cannot pay for the surgery to be done privately, he is hoping that I can be referred to a NHS colorectal surgeon who can perform the op. That means a further wait and visits to more hospital appointments. I am soooooooo weary of it all. It helps enormously to offload my frustrations with you lovely lot. Thank you so much for listening to my rantings.

I apologise to all those of you that need support right now. I am overwhelmed with this latest turn of events. I shall do my best to catch up and come down to earth as soon as possible. Please bear with me for a little longer.

I can hardly believe your story Soop it’s been horrendous for you, as has been said a magic wand would come in handy to make it all go away. I send you my best wishes and a good break from the pressure I’m sure would be good for both of you.

soop thank goodness your GP understands. Try and get some rest in the warmth and comfort of your own home and that the pain is lessening.

My heart goes out to you soop you lovely kind patient lady. You deserve much better than this. Let’s hope that with the help of your surgeons letter from Ross Hall your GP fast-tracks your appointment and things are resolved soon.

With luck the letter will be with you and your GP quickly soop. Good for you for talking honestly with your GP who sounds as if he will do his very best to help. All this must be exhausting. Rest when you can, definitely don’t worry about us. Time now to care for yourself. Love to you both.

If the NHS doesn’t have a magic wand, which needs to be timely magic, not just another waiting list, the plan b is always there.
I’d contribute to funding, but I’d suggest one of the Glasgow grans who know soop well may be best placedto be in charge and start the ball rolling. It’s must be so darn frustrating apart from everything else.
Anyway, little change with FIL, he’s being kept comfortable.
