I've just watched Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga for the third time, and i have to confess that Dan Stevens makes me go weak at the knees ( usually it's low blood sugar ).
I thought he was beyond brilliant in Downton of course, gorgeous in The Guest, loved him in Blithe Spirit, but the sight of him cavorting round to The Lion of Love almost gives me a heart attack !
How can anyone look so tasty ?
I'm also heartbroken because it doesn't appear to be out yet on DVD and i wanted to buy it for myself as a Christmas treat !
Who do you lust over ?

Ben Fogle without a doubt. Now if David Cassidy was still alive Ben wouldn't stand a chance!

What a fascinating thread! You can keep your Jason Momoas and Alan Titchmarshes; I am with the Rufus Sewell and young Elvis fanciers. But I really like Chiwetel Ejiofor, the late Alan Rickman and young Alain Delon too. And for the older men/lovely voice category Roger Allam and Thibault de Montalembert (sp?) who played Mathias in Call my Agent. Oh and while we are on Frenchmen, my weird crush is Philippe Duclos who plays Monsieur le Juge in Spiral (Engrenages).

Probably no one on here knows him but when I was a teenager I thought James Stacy was the most beautiful man I had ever seen. He was in a TV western from the late 60s called Lancer. During the lockdown last year I found the episodes on you tube and I have to say he still looks beautiful to me!

Ooh yes Cillian Murphy! But my all time love would have to be Sean Bean.

Sharpe - Game of Thrones ( I was robbed that he was only in the first few episodes ?)
Even the Yorkshire Tea advert ❤️❤️
I’d do it for Yorkshire!

Still fancy Reginald Bosanquet…DON’T LAUGH!

I think my next one might be Justin Rowlatt the BBC climate change person.

I'm ashamed to say that Will from The Repair Shop floats my boat but he is so young it would be obscene! Perhaps I should just pretend that I would really like to have him as a son.

EthelJ I remember Lancer - I used to have a bit of a crush on Wayne Maunder, the blond brother ? I think he was ditched for The Virginian. And Blue, the son in High Chapparal. I'm so fickle.

Can we smile widely, at least?

Bradley Cooper. Saw him in real life once and just couldn’t take my eyes off him!

For about 55 years it has been Michael Nesmith from the Monkees. Followed by David Essex, Kris Kristofferson and George Best.

Thanks.
I'm sure he's a lovely man though.

Well if we're talking Repair Shop, Steve the clock man can twiddle with my bits and pieces any time he likes ..

Curlywhirly Wed 17-Nov-21 20:13:40

GrammarGrandma speaking of French actors in Spiral - how could I forget Thierry Godard another handsome rough diamond and the very striking Gregory Fitoussi, made all the more desirable with that gorgeous French accent.

Ooh, yes, but I wanted him for a son-in-law. Unfortunately, I think he's already spoken for!

He's a bit of all right ???

Bit late to this party! It used to be Tom Selleck when in his prime in Magnum PI.

But Sam Elliott has stayed the course - that voice! And happily married to the absolutely stunning Katharine Ross (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid).

Lemontart Wed 17-Nov-21 21:21:56

Chris Pratt ?

MayBee70 Wed 17-Nov-21 21:31:36

For most of my life I adored Syd Barrett, even though that Syd ceased to be when he was still a young man. In recent years, I’ve realised it’s all down the to the voice so it has to be Tom Hardy. And after watching The Terror I kept watching every interview with a Jared Harris I could find. Used to think Johnny Depp was the most beautiful man on the planet till he ceased to be the loyal family man I thought him to be and I went off him instantly.

Calistemon Wed 17-Nov-21 22:00:16

How could I forget Dougie Henshall?
