I've just watched Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga for the third time, and i have to confess that Dan Stevens makes me go weak at the knees ( usually it's low blood sugar ).
I thought he was beyond brilliant in Downton of course, gorgeous in The Guest, loved him in Blithe Spirit, but the sight of him cavorting round to The Lion of Love almost gives me a heart attack !
How can anyone look so tasty ?
I'm also heartbroken because it doesn't appear to be out yet on DVD and i wanted to buy it for myself as a Christmas treat !
Who do you lust over ?

Ioan Gruffud, Jimmy Flynn.
Not understanding the Prince Charles attraction!
Nice man, but physical lust?

I'lo go for the beautiful eyes and smile of James Martin - mind you I'd love to have a man that can cook anyway!! I reckon he'll do!

James Norton
Henry Cavill
Richard Armitage made me quite starry eyed at one point, but I have read several times now that he is gay. Is this true? As he is unobtainable whatever his orientation, does it matter?

Hugh Jackman, he was especially sexy in Eddie the Eagle even though he played a drunk! Also Pierce Brosnan as long as he doesn’t sing and George Clooney. smile

Demis Roussos in my younger day, saw him at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle many years ago but now it’s Giovanni.

Has to log in to claim Douglas Henshall and have always had a liking for Neil Pearson and Laurence Llewelyn Bowen. And if going Hollywood then has to be Robert Downey Jnr

Wetnosewheatie Wed 17-Nov-21 23:23:17

Oh and how could I forget Simon Baker

I'm greedy, I want two please!
Alan Rickman and Tom Conti.

And more...... Paul Newman, Alan Alda, Dustin Hoffman.

I'm wondering if anyone can help. 2 or maybe 3 yrs ago I watched a BBC drama series which I really really want to watch again but can't remember the name. The plot was. A mother and her adult daughters (can't remember if there was a son). Mother is divorced from husband. She lives by the sea. She meets a man and falls for him in a big way. They're planning a wedding but daughters are very suspicious of him, they don't know why. There's 'something' about him. Throw in an old neighbour who's known the girls since birth. Secretly thinks of the family as her own. Extremely possessive of them. Does her best to break up relationship between mother and her new man. A party is held. All on the back deck. Accidently, or maybe not, new man gets punched. Falls over banister to the rocks below. Is he killed? Looks like he's dead. But was that a wink??? And so the series ended. Do you know the name of it? Was there a second series? I think but maybe wrong that actress Nicola Walker was in it.

I guess I don't lust after anyone since my late husband died, but I can certainly still enjoy looking .... the actor Sam Elliott and his bedroom eyes do it for me. He was super-gorgeous in Roadhouse with Patrick Swayze, and he's still gorgeous now as a silver fox!

When I was early teens I was so in love with Lou Christie I kissed his lips off my Jackie poster of him. I saw him singing "Im gonna make you mine" on You Tube the other day what was I thinking!!

I fancied Harold Wilson and Mickhail Gorbachev. Odd.

Kiwibird I remember that drama. Imelda Staunton was the neighbour. I really enjoyed it. It was called Flesh and Blood. I’d like to watch it again now you’ve reminded me about it.

Anyone in a trouser, any man in a trouser, I should say, but there’s something about Prince Charles that I do like …

That has to be a joke surely?

Shropshirelass Thu 18-Nov-21 10:00:37

Tom Hardy every time, was Kevin Costner.

Jenn53 Thu 18-Nov-21 11:57:05

Kiwibird, I am so glad you mentioned that TV drama series as I, too, enjoyed it when I saw it, I think it was last year, but just couldn't remember the name of it. One of the best I'd seen in a long time. I wish they would repeat it!!

Scott (wayne maunder) was lovely too but Johnny (James Stacy) was the one who made my heart flutter. I think its because I always liked a bad boy or rebel turned good!
Watching old episodes of Lancer actually got me through the first lockdown by taking me back to a simpler time when I didn't have the anxieties I've had in the past few years..

Always have had a thing about Richard Chamberlain , but I must admit that more recently I find myself having a penchant for Robert Downey Jr and Tom Hiddleston's voice I could listen to for hours!

adrisco Thu 18-Nov-21 12:19:00

Monty Don and Michael Kitchen (when he was in Foyle's War).

Grannynannywanny Thu 18-Nov-21 14:19:21

Jenn53 if you are able to access ITV Hub I think you’ll still be able to view it there.

leeds22 Thu 18-Nov-21 16:01:52

Harrison Ford
Brad Pitt
Rupert Penry Jones

Amberone Thu 18-Nov-21 16:31:50

Oh yes. Dougie Henshall.

I think I watched Shetland a dozen times just for him. He has such sad eyes. Makes me want to...cheer him up a bit ?
