Good morning all from the Black country. Weather looks quite reasonable outside so may walk to mums and toddlers instead of the bus, normally walk back but DH will pick me up as we are taking a friend to the eye hospital.
grandMattie you must be very proud of your daughter, and the decoration is lovely you are one talented lady.
Best wishes to anyone celebrating and virtual hugs where needed.
Enjoy your Wednesday and may you all find some ?.

Good morning, the sun is just peeping in to the corner of my window.
I have little Charlie for an hour or two this morning so a walk is in order. He will probably sleep.
I have to collect the materials for our craft club project from my friend who is feeling poorly. So I’ll be taking the reins again this afternoon.
? for all who need cheering and hopefully a smile somewhere in your day.

Good morning from Durham. Saw a pink dawn, as I was up early and now clear blue skies. Did my self assessment HMRC last night - glad to get it over for another year, but I’ll need help next year, as my circumstances have changed with DH’s death.
Friend coming to take a carpet out of my garage for her son - a six month saga but it’s finally going.
Babysitting later for DD2, then I’ll bring her dogs here, as her husband’s gone to the USA this morning and it will make things easier for her.
?Jax
GSS - I hope the move isn’t as bad as feared.
This month seems to be flying by - those who can - grab it with both hands.

Gingster Wed 17-Nov-21 08:02:27

Good morning all . Yesterday turned into a beautiful day and hopefully today will be the same.
I had a glorious walk with my friend and we came back here and sat in the garden to have our coffee. It was so warm. ?

A worrying afternoon as DD went to have the results of the biopsy of her mole removal. She seemed to be at the hospital for hours and I’ve only got half the story, so I hope she’ll come in today and let me know what’s going on. ?

GM wonderful for your DD. You must be very proud. ❤️

Scentia - try to take it easy . These sprains/strains seem to come on for no reason ?.

Urms take care of that chest. It seems with super cold is everywhere.

Today I will wrap stocking filler presents and write some more cards. I’m usually more ahead of the game but not this year. We have several birthdays before Xmas so have to think about that too. . I’m sure it will all get done ??

Take care all. ????

Good morning everyone from North Wales. The sun is peeping through but the sky looks dark.
Just my usual walk and bed changing this morning.
My DD has returned to nursing after being very unwell last month. I hope she will be alright as things are 'crazily busy' there as she described it.
I wish I could sprinkle some fairy dust to give all those who have health or other worries a much better time going forward. ?

Anniebach Wed 17-Nov-21 08:43:39

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

GrannySomerset Wed 17-Nov-21 08:44:55

Will visit DH this afternoon and not looking forward to it. When I rang the nursing home yesterday evening the report was that he was confused and not cooperative - hardly surprising but not exactly what I wanted to hear. So it will take him time to settle and I feel awful about it.

Thank you all for your immense kindness yesterday. It made a difficult day a bit easier and I appreciated it.

Sorry so many people are enduring the super cold and hope it goes quickly. Always something to worry about!

EkwaNimitee Wed 17-Nov-21 09:06:30

Good morning Mick and all from showery Carlisle. I'm going into town shortly on various errands so I'm hoping for more dryness than wetness. I may treat myself to a coffee and bun in the Cathedral's newish cafe. all glass windows amidst the gardens. I have to chase my prescription which is supposed to be delivered but only once has been, after a bit of nagging. I think I will be changing my nominated pharmacy.
Still proceeding with picture hanging, moving on to heavier pieces and keeping fingers crossed for no loud crashes during the night as I'm a jumpy person!

It's an immense change for your DH, GrannySomerset, I hope he settles, no surprise you feel awful but you couldn't carry on as you were.

The best possible day to all.

aggie Wed 17-Nov-21 09:14:57

Good morning everyone, quite pleasant here so far
Meeting my sister for coffee later , I hope it’s warm enough to sit outside , I’m still nervous about inside without a mask , but I haven’t worked out how to drink coffee through it ?
I hope MrSomerset is in better form this afternoon , look after yourself now GrannySomerset , I hope your back is a bit better

Kalu Wed 17-Nov-21 09:29:08

Good morning all from Glasgow where, at least the grey skies have disappeared but as Marydoll reports, a noticeable change in temperature gradually going down.

A simple but such a pretty decoration GM, one I will share with GDs who are always on the lookout for new craft ideas.
You must be so proud of your DD and rightly so.

No plan for the day but something always turns up if I choose to be busy…..or not!

A day of mixed emotions for you GrannySomerset?

Have a pleasant day all and hopefully a brighter day for those with struggles.

Nannagarra Wed 17-Nov-21 09:42:53

Good morning from sunny Sefton.
Today we’re picking up our DGD from school. She likes dressing up and is into ‘Strictly’ so fingers crossed the ‘mirrorball’ of sequins we’ve bought fits and receives a thumbs up. ? Having had sons, this is a whole new world for us, one which we’re greatly enjoying. I’m also looking forward to chatting with her about the silent section of Saturday’s show.
One proud mum, GrandMattie; hopefully you have a photo of your DD with PoW.
Now is a period of adjustment for both you and your DH GrannySomerset. You couldn’t have done more for him.
Sending words of comfort to Jaxjacky and wishes that you all have the best day possible.
???

Good morning,

Greyduster is correct with the weather forecast - it all looks much better than the drear of yesterday.

Ironing on the agenda, plus a little tidying in the garden. I think I’ll do the gardening jobs first.

Enjoy Chatsworth today, BlueSapphire. It’s years since I went and thoroughly enjoyed it - the house always looks beautiful, especially when decorated for Christmas. They tend to have a theme - I don’t what it is this year.

What a pretty decoration, grandMattie. I might have a try.

Take care everyone, and ? to those of you struggling with health and other issues.

hulahoop Wed 17-Nov-21 10:01:43

grannygravyI hope Mr G settles and you Get some peace of mind .
Jaxjacky ?

dragonfly46 Wed 17-Nov-21 10:02:52

Good morning from and almost sunny Leicestershire.

Dog walking and meeting friends for tea and cake today.

I know how you feel GrannySomerset. My Mum was just the same but she did settle and eventually loved being looked after by the carers there. At first she would not let them near her but that soon changed as she got to know them.
It meant that instead of me resenting all the work I had to do I could go and enjoy the visits without worrying about the day to day care. The carers are very experienced in dealing with people like your DH and as they are not emotionally involved they do it much better than I could.

Of course I felt guilty as I felt I should have been able to cope but that wore off too as I saw how she smiled at the carers and interacted with them.

Be kind to yourself and get yourself better. Sending you hugs.

dragonfly46 Wed 17-Nov-21 10:04:48

Hulahoop I am so sorry to hear it was not good news.
I know exactly how you feel but I just want to assure you it does get better.
Feel free to PM me if you wish to talk.

brook2704 Wed 17-Nov-21 10:05:39

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s bright and dry just now.
Oh hulahoop I’m sorry to hear it’s not the best news, I hope there’s a plan in place that will help. Please don’t hesitate to come back on here for support whenever needed ?
It’s such a difficult time grannysomerset I hope that when you visit your DH this afternoon he’s settled in a bit better.
A late post from me as we had the DGC staying over last night and it’s been a busy morning so far. Anyhow I’m back from the school run, the washer is on, I’ve got my much needed coffee and toast and I’m just catching up on here.
Hoping all goes well tomorrow for your DS and DiL grandmadinosaur and you’ve happy news to report soon
BlueSapphire I’ve got really happy memories of visiting Chatsworth House with DD1 in the past, we enjoyed a really posh afternoon tea there once on my birthday. I’d love to go again you’ve prompted me to book a trip there sometime!
Hoping your day gets better Scentia
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Gwenisgreat1 Wed 17-Nov-21 10:16:48

Good Morning from Sunny Harrogate
It's about time there was another cafe at the Cathedral EkwaNimitee, hope it's as atmospheric as the last one!! Not sure if I am going to mange a trip to Carlisle before Xmas , meeting my friend. Her trains are a bit difficult and we might end up meeting in Edinburgh, which could be a bit too crowded for my liking just now.
Yesterday managed a trip to Aldi and had a good rummage. Today hoping to go to the antique market to get a locket for DGDs christening in December. DD2 is buying her a jewellery box for Xmas so that should tie in quite nicely.
Hope everyone has a really good day today.

hollysteers Wed 17-Nov-21 10:20:00

Good morning Mick and all from a dull Lancashire coast. I hope your cottage pie turns out well.
Out again today to lunchtime concert. I have a lot of gadding about once more, which is cheery, but can get tiring. I wish I could also just put my coat on and walk out of the front door, but no, I have to make an effort, so that’s a bit of a faff.
I wore a fitted skirt for the first time yesterday which had been languishing in the wardrobe (now a floordrobe) Tricky to put together as it has a deep frill like hem. But with suede kitten heel boots, it worked.
Thoughts to grannysomerset harrigran and anyone with worries.
Will read through later.

Gwenisgreat1 Wed 17-Nov-21 10:20:40

grannysomerset your feelings are natural, but he will settle.
I'm so sorry you've had bad news Hulahoop flowers

Blossoming Wed 17-Nov-21 10:27:31

Good morning all from a cloudy Lancashire. Not much planned for today. I had quite a good sleep, the new painkillers seem to be working. I shall rest my foot again today. Hope you all have a peaceful day.

henetha Wed 17-Nov-21 10:29:20

Sunshine this morning, after a few dull days. The washing is drying. I'm going out to buy another pot of paint as the first coat isn't very good.

Marydoll Wed 17-Nov-21 10:44:45

So sorry to hear your news Hulahoop. ?

hollysteers Wed 17-Nov-21 10:49:42

Also a big hug to hulahoop?

Nannagarra Wed 17-Nov-21 10:51:03
