I have noticed that Camilla is walking behind Charles is this correct as he isn’t King?

Calistemon Fri 19-Nov-21 10:42:33

No, but I felt sorry for Charles having to go into an arranged marriage first time round.

maddyone Fri 19-Nov-21 11:01:46

I wonder what the children of Charles and Camilla would have been like if they had married young. Of course, we’ll never know. However we have got William who is a credit to his parents. Probably best not to mention the other one.

Camilla's son was a judge on Masterchef last night and I was thinking how much he looked like Diana's brother Lord Spencer.

Josianne Fri 19-Nov-21 11:12:32

Sorry, maybe that should be Earl Spencer??
Anyway, this is what I sort of meant.

Anniebach Fri 19-Nov-21 11:20:37

I really don’t understand why some believe all the press have
stated as fact over the years .

There has never been any evidence of Charles and Camilla indulging in an affair when he married.

It has all come from Diana and royal experts !

Charles said they did become involved after his marriage had broken down, he isn’t believed . Everything Diana said is believed yet we now know she was fed lies so to give the panorama interview.

Galaxy Fri 19-Nov-21 11:57:56

Crikey just a handy hint if someone denies an affair despite lots of evidence to the contrary and goes on to a relationship with that person then they were having an affair.

Anniebach Fri 19-Nov-21 12:31:02

What evidence Galaxy ?

sodapop Fri 19-Nov-21 12:32:36

Stones and glass houses come to mind. I'm sure we are all whiter than white in our personal lives. ?

Anniebach Fri 19-Nov-21 13:23:09

I await the evidence from Galaxy

Galaxy Fri 19-Nov-21 14:16:54

Well the phone calls for a start.

Galaxy Fri 19-Nov-21 14:19:20

Oh I dont judge them sodapop but I am not going to pretend it didnt happen. And I am not going to pretend that none of it impacts on children. I say that as someone who has made mistakes that will have impacted on my children.

Anniebach Fri 19-Nov-21 15:56:37

Galaxy the phone call was in 1993, Diana’s was 1989

They separated in 1992 , that means the marriage had broken down.

Any more evidence ?

MissAdventure Fri 19-Nov-21 16:08:58

Google informs me that Charles' call was also in 1989, but not made public until 1993.

Galaxy Fri 19-Nov-21 16:10:45

Yes the reports I have read all said during the marriage.

Lucca Fri 19-Nov-21 16:13:20

And in the blue corner ……

MissAdventure Fri 19-Nov-21 16:18:14

When did Camilla's marriage end?

Redhead56 Fri 19-Nov-21 16:39:47

It might have been when her husband found out she was having an affair maybe.

MissAdventure Fri 19-Nov-21 16:44:39

Probably, I reckon.

Anniebach Fri 19-Nov-21 17:09:00

Charles said when the marriage had broken down, not after the
divorce.

What of the list of Diana’s affairs ?

Diana said she was deeply in love in the early 80’s and was only
happy when Manakee was around.

So many want all the blame placed on Charles and I think this is unfair

All men are baddies, all women Saints

This tour really smacks of colonialism, the Empire is long dead maybe these people should adjust their attitudes to show they know that!

MissAdventure Fri 19-Nov-21 17:17:09

There aren't so many on this thread that want to blame Charles.
That ship has long since sailed.
It was all years ago.

I think they get asked to go by the governments involved. It’s to boost travel and show these countries are safe for tourism. Anyway, they’re on the return journey now, according to the BBC.

Do you mean the people who invite them?

I suppose they should turn down the invitations and stay at home, hidden away. We could have sent Boris instead, I suppose but would the crowds come out to cheer?

Calistemon Fri 19-Nov-21 17:31:35

These two countries were never art of the British Empire, of which the Scots were main players.

Calistemon Fri 19-Nov-21 17:32:34

Part not art
