Sorry paddyanne54, these tours wherever they may be are by invitation of the host government and done for the purposes already stated, nothing at all to do with colonialism or Empire! If the royals weren't wanted, the country involved would make that quite clear. They don't just turn up!!

We could have sent Boris instead…….

Are we meant to forget all that has gone on because they appear loved up in Egypt,?

perhaps some like to keep raking over old coals, but personally, I think the Diana scandal was a long long time ago, and it is time some members of the public moved on. As far as I am concerned, if Diana's sons are happy to accept Camilla as their Father's wife, then it is no business of mine

Precisely GillT57.

I agree Gill.

After reading through this thread, the comment stating Prince Philip always walked behind the Queen hits the nail on the head. Although not yet king, Prince Charles is the heir to the throne.
It’s mystifying that people would spend time noting who goes where. I’m sure if we spent long enough studying photos of the royal couples, it would be vary according to the situation.

I really must have a word with DH.

He really doesn't know his place.

Getting above himself, is he?

Calistemon Fri 19-Nov-21 22:05:10

Oh yes, he has to be told sometimes.

I am a Grand Duchess, I can’t say which country as it would make me too easy to identify. Mr. B walks ahead to forestall any assassination attempts. grin
