I have noticed that Camilla is walking behind Charles is this correct as he isn’t King?

Nice Lucca.

Very Judy Dench.

I love that laughing clip, Calistemon!

That outfit is lovely, but I loved the one she wore last night to a dinner. The white trousers, long top, and sheer, flowing scarf. Apart from her wedding outfit, I think that’s the nicest thing I’ve seen her in.

Josianne Thu 18-Nov-21 21:14:52

The white outfit looked like silk? With just a little shimmer.

NotTooOld Thu 18-Nov-21 23:11:35

Agree, lovely outfit. Love the clip too. Camilla really had the giggles. So nice to see Prince Charles looking happy.

Incidentally, MM's appearance on another US chat show does not appear to have won her any friends. I just watched the follow on of the Charles and Camilla clip.

Yes, it looks lovely!

Camilla does look so much more at ease now than she did a few years ago.

MissAdventure Thu 18-Nov-21 23:31:13

I know it's mean and it isnt meant to be, but I have wondered if she has had a bit of "help" botox to look so well.

NotTooOld Thu 18-Nov-21 23:37:16

I think they're just happy, MissA. Being happy can make you look well. Blimey, I sound like a right royal looney, but I reckon it's true.

Calistemon Thu 18-Nov-21 23:37:44

I don't think so, she doesn't look particularly smooth and unwrinkled. I did wonder if she was not well a few years ago after they married but that it was kept quiet.

She's stayed slimmish but not thin and just looks happy and radiant unlike previously.

Love - whatever love means ?

NotTooOld Thu 18-Nov-21 23:42:47

What a great pic, Cali. Seems to prove the point. I'm getting quite gooey eyed over all this love stuff, not at all like me. I think I'd better go to bed.

MissAdventure Thu 18-Nov-21 23:45:37

Put a cold flannel on your head. smile

This thread is making me giggle. And I like Camilla for Charles too. Even more so now that I saw that video clip. I would have been the same exact way.

I typically walk behind my husband as I was usually bringing up the rear wrangling kids. I still do it now out of habit though my kids are teens and don't want to walk anywhere near me.

We also had a laugh recently because we were both watching our step count and mine was always about 1,500 more than his for the day. Of course it is, I have to take more steps to get the same distance!

The one place that it irritated me when he walked ahead was when we were in an airport. He is well traveled for his job and he turns into a crazed man as soon as he steps inside an airport. I started calling him a Professional Traveler. (It wasn't a compliment.)

I finally told him I would meet him at the gate, bye! Seems to help though I can't imagine he will ever be fully cured of his stupidity in airports. At least meeting him there keeps my sanity. He can bother the other travelers and leave me alone.

Camilla really is a pariah, whose presence at any event is distasteful. That hasn’t changed for many. I only hope Charles doesn’t expect the public to want or accept her

Calendargirl Fri 19-Nov-21 06:48:56

Well, I hope your views are in the minority Pumpkinpie

I don’t know if Camilla has had anything ‘done’, apart from her teeth, which used to have a gap in the early days, but doesn’t now.

I think they look like any other contented couple in their 70’s, he obviously adores her and I’m sure she does him.

nanna8 Fri 19-Nov-21 07:20:18

There’s always one, as they say. I think they are a lovely couple, very suitable to be the next in line to the throne. A pity they have had to wait so very long.

Galaxy Fri 19-Nov-21 07:44:25

I am not sure it was the 'always one' who made them wait so long though was it. It was partly their own decisions or the influence of the institution that most are cheering on.

sodapop Fri 19-Nov-21 08:53:03

I thought Camilla looked very elegant in all the outfits she has worn so far on this tour. They seem happy and comfortable together. I wish them well.

Inquiry into foundation linked to Prince of Wales launched
Charity Commission investigating claims donations intended for Prince’s Foundation went instead to Mahfouz Foundation

Mahfouz Mubarak was awarded CBE by Prince Charles in 2016. I believe a wood at Dumfries House a few yards from where Prince Charles is standing was named 'Mubarak Wood'. The source of finance donated to support Dumfries House is suspicious.

We need full disclosure from the royals. The standards and rules we expect MPs to adhere to should also apply to the royals.

How many more questions will be raised about the conduct and probity of the royal family before politicians respond and act?

The Charity Commission has launched an inquiry into allegations that donations intended for Charles’ Prince’s Foundation went instead to the Mahfouz Foundation, a charity focused on the Middle East, and some funds were then subsequently transferred elsewhere.

BREAKING: Charity Commission launches statutory inquiry into Mahfouz Foundation

Mahfouz is the Saudi billionaire at the heart of Prince Charles cash for OBE affair

His charity also wired money from Russian donor to prince's charities, but £ still missing

Prince Charles's closest aide has quit. Director of his charity stepped down. Charity is investigating itself. Scottish regulator is investigating. Metropolitan Police reviewing evidence. Now Charity Commission launches statutory inquiry.

Still barely a word from Clarence House

And Andrew

Calls for probe over £1.5m Prince Andrew deal as MPs call for Duke to be investigated by tax officials

Prince Andrew royal sleaze fears as tax haven banker pays Duke's £1.5m loan
As it's revealed a Tory donor paid off Prince Andrew’s £1.5million loan from a bank owner by the donor's family, there are calls for a probe into the royal’s relationship with the tycoon

Prince Andrew’s business relationship with Conservative Party donor David Rowland comes under the spotlight in tomorrow’s Daily Express again after an investigation by the Bloomberg financial news agency.

What did the donor want in return? That’s the question.

This raises serious questions about conflict of access and corrupt practices in line with the issues being raised about MP's second jobs.

MissAdventure Fri 19-Nov-21 09:17:03

There's that cold flannel.

Barmeyoldbat Fri 19-Nov-21 09:51:45

I often walk behind Mr B because I like looking in shop window, but he does realise and the waits for a catch up with an are you all right?

Purplepixie Fri 19-Nov-21 09:56:30

I still cannot warm to Camilla but she wouldn’t be able to walk in front of Charles as he is our future king. Prince Philip never walked in front of our queen even before she was queen or the fact that she is female.

The softening of the British publics view of the Royal family goes on.
"Ill met by moonlight fair Titania "at the Pyramids!!!!

Yammy Fri 19-Nov-21 10:09:09

Two of Dolly Partons songs come to mind when I see these photos, "Stand by your man", which Camilla has always does and the other would have been apt when Diana was alive "Joleen'.
Are we meant to forget all that has gone on because they appear loved up in Egypt
