Good Morning Everyone ,
Its dark but a dry start here in brackley this morning, today will be an interesting day.
I am getting a bus early to Bicester around 9 , as I have a booster jab at chemists which is on the bus route , I am hoping that I can walk in early before time given, and then catch another bus or walk into Bicester to do my usual routine .
Yesterday , I played the new ABBA CD and its a good selection , if Sweden entered them into the Eurovision ,40 years on would be interesting .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning. It’s still dark here, but I hope to see some ☀️ sunshine later.
I couldn’t decide whether to go funk6 or traditional with my friend’s tote, so I did one in each side. Just got the handles to attach.
Spanish class this morning - it would be. SO nice to meet cara-a-cara again, but zoom does an adequate job.
Hope you feel better, bauble, what a scare! GS, I hope your DH isn’t too uncooperative and despite the difficulties, you are benefiting from the situation; jax, the family is coping; Auntieflo, each day brings its own little victories and joys.
Carpe diem. ????❤️☀️?❤️??

Bummer! Forgo5 photos!

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where to still dark, but dry and seems mild. I’ve been awake since 3am with a cough and a headache. My chest seems a bit squeaky on expiration but I’m already wondering what to have for my breakfast so I can’t be that poorly. What’s the saying? ‘Feed a cold and starve a fever’ I think.

Anyway, no plans so I can finish watching ‘The Crown’ later, doze a bit, keep warm, take paracetamol and fluids while I wait for it to peak and pass.

That’s lovely *grandMattie’!
Good morning everyone, I have no idea what it’s like outside, but hoping for some sunshine so I can start tidying the garden up. Putting the house up for sale so needs to be presentable too.
Not a lot else planned, will take the adolescent pup for her walk first thing, she’s gorgeous and makes me smile ?

Urmstongran Thu 18-Nov-21 06:25:36

Apologies. I got an Error 504 message and the screen froze producing the irritating double post.

grandMattie Thu 18-Nov-21 06:32:52

No probs, Urms, but a bit worried about your “expiring”! ? Hope it’s only this super cold, and you feel better soon. ❤️

MayBeMaw Thu 18-Nov-21 06:56:05

Good morning all- still dark here but I dare say there will be some weather going on later. The last few days have been lovely and the autumn colours from my bedroom window, just spectacular.
I too hope you are not “expiring” Urmstongran !
(I’d recommend exhaling as an alternative) gringrin
Baubles I hope you are on the mend- never underestimate the apparently “humble” stomach bug.
Norovirus-if it was that- is very nasty indeed. I remember calling a Dr out to Paw back in the day and while she was here his eyes rolled back in his head (he was in bed) and he just passed out. Scary.
Wishing us all a pleasant Thursday.

Urmstongran Thu 18-Nov-21 07:00:00

No, I thought it was termed ‘on inspiration’ when breathing in and ‘on expiration’ when breathing out?

Perhaps I ought to have just said ‘breathing out’...
?

grandMattie Thu 18-Nov-21 07:06:36

It probably is, but does sound very alarming…

grandMattie Thu 18-Nov-21 07:06:50

Inhale and exhale?

Beechnut Thu 18-Nov-21 07:12:01

Good Morning everyone from a dry and getting light Severnside.

Coming home from the meet up I went to yesterday I saw plenty of fallen dry leaves so I had a shuffle in them. One of my autumn pleasures.
A pretty bag Mattie. It’s nice to have two different looks on the same theme.

My plan for today is not to be lazy and get some cleaning done. That’ll make me feel better.

Take care all and hope you feel better baubles ???

MayBeMaw Thu 18-Nov-21 07:12:08

Pulmonary ventilation comprises two major steps: inspiration and expiration. Inspiration is the process that causes air to enter the lungs, and expiration is the process that causes air to leave the lungs (Figure 3). A respiratory cycle is one sequence of inspiration and expiration.

You are perfectly right of course Urmston ! blushblush

Urmstongran Thu 18-Nov-21 07:12:37

I typed enough out patient letters from chest physicians to patient’s GPs over the years!

“TECHNICAL
the exhalation of breath from the lungs.
"at the end of expiration there is still a slight inflation in the lungs"

Good morning all from North Leicestershire. Like maw, I expect we will have some weather later.

Not a lot on here today. The tiler should finish today and we have a Sainsbury's delivery late afternoon. I suppose I should sort my desk out.

We had a lovely time with DD1 and her family last evening. Lots of catching up and laughter.

TOYA

Urmstongran Thu 18-Nov-21 07:15:59

X posts Maw! Thank yo.
?

I’ve said before, every day is a school day on GN. A nice change for me to be teacher ha!

Beechnut Thu 18-Nov-21 07:21:17

My post took ages then I got an Error54. I went back to the page and there was my post.
Let’s see how this one goes ?

Susan56 Thu 18-Nov-21 07:22:17

Good morning from Shropshire.

An early hospital appointment for DH this morning.Need to allow an hour to get there as roadworks are making a 25 minute journey double the time.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 18-Nov-21 07:23:43

Morning all

Oh dear Urmstongran take care ?

I am off to the hairdressers this afternoon, I am thinking about having my lockdown hair cut off?

Thinking of Baubles and GrannySomerset along with all our friends with troubles (((hugs)))

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Good morning all and it feels a bit chillier here in Essex.

Yesterday DD came in to explain her results of the biopsy on her removed mole. It was cancerous but hopefully all removed. ?. They are going to take away a bit more just to be sure, so she will have to go in to hospital for 2 or 3 days as they will do a skin graft,
DGD phoned from Uni very upset about her mum, but we had a long chat and I managed to make her chuckle. She also spoke to her mum, so I think she feels a bit reassured.
The funny thing is, she isn’t close to her mum. Chose to live with her dad from the age of 11 and is quite cool towards her. I think she now realises how much her mum loves her and indeed how much she loves her mum.
As GM says ‘Carpe Diem*. So very true! ❤️

Kind thoughts to all who are poorly, anxious or just plain ‘cheesed off’.
????

Good morning all. It’s looking like a bright day in prospect in East Yorkshire.

Today I’m expecting 2 deliveries! One is our new dining table and chairs.
The more exciting one is our new grandchild. I woke in the night and couldn’t get back to sleep thinking it all over.
Grandson slept here last night and slept well. He’s currently eating his weetabix. He will be here after school too.
Take care all.

Gwenisgreat1 Thu 18-Nov-21 07:36:59

Good morning all from drizzly Harrogate
Sainsburies seem to have got lost with my delivery today! It started out being today, then it changed to tomorrow,
then I found it was next week so I phoned and was assured it would be today - but I haven’t had a receipt! So could be yet another mystery!!
Baubles hope you feel a lot better today, that was a nasty shock.

Gwenisgreat1 Thu 18-Nov-21 07:41:22

Sorry hadn’t finished. That is some lockdown hair. Grannygravy. I’d hang on to it if I were you!
Hope everyone is feeling as best they can with as few worries as possible

Good morning from a grey Cornwall. The sun is just rising but as we are facing West you wouldn't know it. A dry cloudy day forecast.
Today we are walking to Lands End. No too great a feat as it's a mile away!!!
Love to all ? x
