More than a bit of an exaggeration ?

She might have had influence in America but I think she barely registered in the LGB community here in Britain. Nobody I knew thought very much much about her ‘coming out”. After all, we had Elton John?

She hardly registered o my radar either (I had to look her IP when someone I know was on her show a few years ago).

Who needs anyone else when we have Elton ? ⭐

The problem with the candid camera piece is that it just wasn't particularly funny or clever. Normally the innocent public get sucked in and it is their reactions that are hilarious.
But in this case they just looked a bit bemused and uncomfortable. It was just all a bit silly and pointless.

I’m another who had never heard of Ellen until very recently. I have noticed that she has a show on television in the afternoon now, but I’ve never watched it and have no intention of ever watching it. She has certainly had absolutely no impact on the LGBT acceptance that is found in the UK. I have heard that she’s both a neighbour and friend of Meghan, but I’ve no idea or even interest in if this is true.

After reading all about it on GN, I watched a bit of the Ellen/Meghan programme, not all of it.

Thought it was plain daft and not the least funny, no matter who was doing it.

If this is what passes for humour in the USA, I pity them. Some of our home grown efforts are awful, but this was dire.

Why on earth MM agreed to do it I can’t imagine. I agree that Ellen probably has a hidden agenda to make MM look silly.
