Hello Shinamae. My DH has a bottle and tablets on the table in readiness to clear his bowels for a CT colonoscopy on Monday. He has a weekend of meals without all his favourite bread, veggies and fruit.

Hope all goes well with your sigmoidoscopy.

I've never had to have a scope, but from what I understand, the prep is the worst part. It's pretty much take it and grab your supplies and camp out in the bathroom 'cause you ain't coming out of there for a while! You have my sympathy. I hope everything goes well tomorrow.

Grim I’ve taken that before a ‘woman’s issue’ surgery some years ago. Extremely unpleasant. I hope you have a plan to treat yourself to some decadent food, new girl makeup or something else nice to make up for it.

My friend phoned me (from her loo) as she was so fed up - having spent the entire evening in there. The colonoscopy she had the next morning was easy by comparison!

I remember having to do my prep on a glorious summer day watching people having a nice time outside from the bathroom window?

I didn’t find it unpleasant to drink, but I was surprised at how fast it worked, pity I was in the hallway at the time……

Oh you poor soul! I've never had to go through this - yet! but my DH had one a few years ago and it was horrible and made him feel very tired and wrung out. I do hope all goes well on the day so to speak!

At least my gastroscopy yesterday didn’t require any preparation !
