Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark ,dry and cold outside here in brackley this morning.
Today , an easy day prepare my lunch , maybe a afternoon snooze and watch TV .
Yesterday was quiet in comparison with last few days when out shopping .
Take Care,
Mick

welbeck Sun 21-Nov-21 06:11:21

hello mick.
guess i ought to go to bed.
slumped on chair, dozing uncomfortably, and nostalgically looking at some school histories on laptop.
youth is wasted on the young. well mine was.
and the fact that the young cannot understand that saying, proves the point.
hey-ho.
take care.

Good morning Mick and all to follow.
I’m an early bird today - couldn’t sleep past 5 o’clock, tossed and turned, so I thought I might as well get up and gave a cuppa with little pooch.

Family coming for lunch, so I can get a few jobs done early on.

Wishing you all a happy Sunday.
????

Good morning from a dark, moonlit E Kent. It’s quite chilly too.
I had a successful shop at Lidl yesterday, Marydoll, and got a goose to join my turkey and turkey crown in the freezer in readiness to counteract our meat free Christmas at veggie DD’s.
As she has been quiet for awhile, I contacted Ashcombe yesterday. She has asked me to tell everyone that she is fine but busy; olddudders is going back to France for a few days for various appointments. He’ll be back for their theatre commitments. So all is well with them.
Church this morning with our patronal festival service.
Congratulations for all the new babies, hope the mums are doing ok.
May you have a peaceful day, especially those in need for whatever reason. Carpe diem ?????☀️?☀️☀️?

welbeck Sun 21-Nov-21 06:21:06

is that the feast of christ the king ?

grandMattie Sun 21-Nov-21 06:28:12

No, St. Clements

Nannytopsy Sun 21-Nov-21 06:35:38

Good morning Mick and all his followers. It’s moonlit but still dark here in Suffolk too. I am awake very early but we didn’t come to bed until one o’clock, so if you’ll excuse me, I’m off for another couple of hours.

Beechnut Sun 21-Nov-21 06:37:25

Good Morning everyone from Severnside where it’s dark and damp.

Congratulations to the new grandma’s.

I did nothing at all yesterday. That’s two Saturdays on the trot. I’m going to have to pull my socks up where weekends are concerned. Today I plan to fill my green bin and move things around in the garage. There’s a few things in there not wanted so I’ll put them together ready for the recycling centre.

Have a good day all and enjoy your roasts???

welbeck Sun 21-Nov-21 06:48:24

i'm going to go to bed with andrew castle soon, try to sleep.
he's on lbc, and i've come to like hearing him. may doze off.

Scentia Sun 21-Nov-21 07:12:32

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it feels quite mild.
I worked a whole day yesterday as I will be off tomorrow and Tuesday looking after the GC. I got a lot done without the phone ringing, I may do that again!
Off for a walk today and whilst walking I will be water bearer for DH who is running in a race along the same route.
After that I may take pictures of the clothes DD gave me to sell as they could fetch a tidy penny and I need it after my online Christmas Shopping last night?
Take care everyone and keep smiling ?

Good morning everyone from North Wales. It seems cold this morning but there is a lovely sunrise .
Woke early so after tossing and turning decided to get up.
Hope you all have a good day ?

Pantglas2 Sun 21-Nov-21 07:27:22

Good morning all you early birds! My bodyclock appears to have been tampered with ? and I’m blaming the booster for my tardiness!

Where’s Pollytickle with the keys to the weather barn on the Island? I need some ☀️?? please as I’m snowed under with washing which appears to have crept up on me!

A beef casserole to be prepped for the slow cooker meal this evening but before that, some kedgeree for brunch with newspapers to peruse - Wales ??????? lucky win at the rugby!

brook2704 Sun 21-Nov-21 07:27:53

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s still dark and turning much colder from now on
Thanks for the update on Ashcombe GM and pleased all is well.
I had a busy enjoyable day yesterday looking after DGS until his dad picked him up mid afternoon. Then it was a bit of tidying up and housework. No plans yet for today but I’ve lots of jobs to keep me busy.
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Jaxjacky Sun 21-Nov-21 07:28:21

Good morning all from a moonlit S Hants, I went to bed at 9 and slept well. The funeral for FIL was very well attended, MrJ will return this evening, I’ve missed
Scheduled phone appointment from the GP last night led to an urgent referral for a nasal cauterisation.
I’ll faff with housework today until heading off to the airport.
Have a gentle Sunday all, thanks gM for news of Ashcombe.

baubles Sun 21-Nov-21 07:39:26

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire where I don’t think it’s raining yet.

I got some more online Christmas shopping done yesterday, I’m getting organised at last.

Another quiet day ahead at baubles towers.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day. ??

Good morning Mick and all from a chilly Glasgow, its only 1°C here in Glasgow.

A warm welcome to welbeck , a regular poster on other threads, but not seen you here before.
You are correct, today is the feast of Christ the King, who would have believed that next Sunday is the first Sunday of Advent?

Glad you had a successful visit GM. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, but my freezer is full of rubbish, so no room for Christmas goodies.
Relieved to hear that Ashcombe is fine.

Sticking to the religious theme, may I thank those who prayed for my friend's daughter. She is still seriously ill, but her kidneys have started working again. It is a miracle.

Apparently, Dollies party was a great success and daddy, surpassed himself as entertainment manager! However, he did have to have a lie down in a darkened room, when they left.

Wishing you all a pleasant day, especially the new grans. Enjoy! No plans for me, hopefully a gentle day, apart from troubleshooting the smart TVs, which are not connecting to the Internet. That of course means, I cannot connect with my You Tube medical crushes dramas!!! wink
I'm still struggling with spells of dizziness, on top of all my other ailments, which is really getting me down. Poor MrMD, is on the receiving end of my razor sharp tongue and frustration, but no internet was the last straw!!!

I'm off to post a screenshot of that extremely, annoying, floating advert, which many are complaining about, for GNHQ.

Good morning everyone from a dreich dark start to the day here on the east coast of Fife. My nights sleep has had many interruptions and I’m tired this morning, that constitutes a nap this afternoon. It’ll be a lazy day for me but full of excitement as we’re re getting our dd come stay for a night it’ll be fun and games in this household, napping might have to be put on hold. Not to mind I know what I’d prefer.

Now there’s the sun rising as I write, nature is a wonderful thing, hello there mr daylight wink

Happy thoughts are being sent to those in sadness today flowers

Grandmajean Sun 21-Nov-21 07:41:53

Morning all from Cheshire.
Watched two very silly episodes of "Outlander" last night. I borrowed the DVDs from a friend so feel obliged to watch them but am not impressed.
Keep hearing that the weather is going to get colder soon. Time to find the woolly hat.
"Hat hair" from now on.
Hope Sunday brings some sunshine ? into your day.

Gwenisgreat1 Sun 21-Nov-21 07:45:03

Good morning all from dry Harrogate
I see a lovely round moon shining on me!
Yesterday took DGD to the park, she very quickly made a new friend, Isaac, she wanted him to come home with us. He was a nice little boy the same age as DGD. Seemed a shame for a 5 year old to be in the park by himself? We had a job separating them when it was time to go home.
Hope Urms is feeling better

Have the best day possible folks

Grandmabatty Sun 21-Nov-21 07:46:38

Good morning all from a chilly Polmont. Currently it is 4° and clear. The moon is still bright and the skies are clear.
Thank you grandmattie for the update on Ashcombe. And thank you for all the lovely words and messages yesterday about the birth of my grandson. My daughter is hoping to get out of hospital today and I will possibly see him for a cuddle later. I can't wait! The minute the shops were open yesterday I was there! I bought the boy wonder dinosaurs too as he's really interested in them. I can't buy the baby a teddy (and clothes) and not buy his big brother something!
The rest of yesterday was a lost day as I was so tired. My oldest friends called in with flowers for me but apart from that I dozed off and on.
This morning is family breakfast but only five of us instead of the usual ten. Then hopefully I'll nip up to see the wee family of four, not three. Apart from that, I'll roast a chicken and gently potter. I hope marydoll and Urmstongran and blossoming are feeling better. And anyone else I've missed out. Have a good day all.

Good morning from a brightish Leistershire.

Went to the vet hospital yesterday to pick the dog up. He was very restless when we got him back but I think we all felt a little traumatised.
We all had a good night last night.
When DD texted last night to ask how he was I said nothing as I didn’t want her to be upset on her birthday out there in Cancun.

I do envy those grans who see their AC regularly and can drop in. Mine are so far away.

Have a good day everyone.

Susan56 Sun 21-Nov-21 07:54:39

Good morning from Shropshire.

We had a lovely day celebrating Matilda’s 6th birthday. All the adults were exhausted but the children still full of energy when we left.Glad Dollie’s party was a success too Mary.

I have so much laundry to do today even though the laundry basket was empty on Wednesday?

Thank you for the update on Ash and oldd mattie.I had been thinking about them so good to know all is well.

Thinking of all our missing good morning friends and hoping all in sick bay are improving?

Have the best day you can everyone??

kittylester Sun 21-Nov-21 08:04:13

Good morning all also from Leicestershire. Three or so miles from dragonfly we have a few dark clouds in our brightening sky.

We have an emergency shop to do today. We have an electrician coming next week and we have decided we need a new light fitting into dining room.

Roast chicken for dinner eventually!

ginny Sun 21-Nov-21 08:13:53

Good morning everyone. A bright , if chilly start here in N. Bucks.
A quiet day at home is planned. Some baking and crafting is quite likely.
Hope Sunday is kind to you all and you find a smile in your day.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 21-Nov-21 08:15:44

Morning all

It’s blue sky and sunny here in my little corner of S E Essex, although there is a nip in the air.

No idea what is on the agenda for today, The Imp woke up at 5.00am, so I had an early wake up call. DD has kept him occupied downstairs but he is on form this morning. (DD is suffering with his ears so didn’t hear a thing)

Might write some Christmas cards, and do some more online shopping. I have a beef joint, it sure if I will cook it today or pop out for lunch and have a mid-week roast.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?
