Uncritical support for trans ideology is a bad idea - a calm explanation of why this is.

Today’s DMail reports an interview with a woman who was sexually abused between the ages of 6-12. She was raped in her twenties. The offenders were men. She was attending a support group for women who had similar abuse experiences, finding it supportive and helpful.
She said the atmosphere, the way women talked about the men who had abused them changed after a self ID trans woman joined the group. She states this person had a “masculine’ appearance including clothing. She didn’t contribute or speak during sessions. The woman being interviewed said she felt very uncomfortable and wondered if the newcomer had joined for voyueuristic reasons.

It's a distinct possibility, isn't it?

This is the sort of thing that gets swept aside with comments like 'you are obsessed with penises'. It's a 'woman's space' that is, if not unique, not the sort of thing that people necessarily think of when discussing them. It's still important for women to be able to discuss things freely, with people who can understand what they mean, and how they feel. That is not to say that men can't be sexually assaulted, but not in the same way as women, on the whole. And of course having someone there who reminds them of their trauma is going to get in the way of that. Most women would understand that and not impose themselves.
